Thank you for purchasing the Ivation 3-Pod Indoor Herb
Garden Kit. This User Guide is intended to provide you with
guidelines to ensure that operation of this product is safe
and does not pose risk to the user. Any use that does not
conform to the guidelines described in this User Guide may
void the limited warranty.
Please read all directions before using the product and
retain this guide for reference. This product is intended for
household use only. It is not intended for commercial use.
This product is covered by a limited one-year warranty.

appliance.
• If for some reason the power cord becomes damaged, it must
be replaced by either Ivation, an authorized serviceperson, or a
similarly qualified professional as soon as possible. Do not attempt
to repair or replace the power cord on your own.
• The operation of this machine requires that there is water and
ample amount of power supplied to the product. Make sure electric
components are not exposed to water to prevent damage to the
machine.
• After adding or handling water for the product, please make sure to
dry your hands before connecting the adapter to a power supply.
Handling the power adapter with wet hands will create the risk of
electric shock.
• Use tap or potable water only with this product. Don’t use rainwater,
juice, or alcoholic beverages when operating this product.

SET UP INSTRUCTIONS
PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Take the contents out of its packaging. Place the water tank on
a flat, level surface.
2. Insert the pole into the water tank. Then, connect the
LED lighting panel to the top of the pole. (Make sure
that the pole and LED lighting panel are properly
connected.)
3. Connect the adapter to the power port on the side of the water
tank. Then, plug in the other end to a power outlet. (The power
button will flash once the adapter has been connected.)
1. Place the seedling block in fresh, clean water. Squeeze gently to
soak the seedling block thoroughly.
2. Remove the planting caps and planting baskets from the water
tank. Then, unscrew the cap from the basket and set aside.

3. Turn the planting basket upside down and insert a cotton wick
into the hole in the bottom of the basket. (Make sure at least
0.20" (5 mm) of the cotton is visible in the basket.)
4. Place the wet seedling block into the planting basket. Then,
screw the planting cap back onto the basket. (Make sure the
cotton wick is in contact with the seedling block.)
5. Place the basket into the pod hole and turn the planting cap
counterclockwise to fasten the cap in place.
6. Insert one to two (1 - 2) seed(s) into each
seedling block and cover the planting cap with
the seedling cover.
7. Fill the water tank with water until
the water level buoy indicator
floats to the top of the tank.

8. Turn the power on and select the preferred lighting mode for
your plant.
9. Remove the seedling covers when the plants start to grow two
(2) leaves. Measure out five (5) ml of nutrient solution A using
the measuring cup and pour it into the water. Then, do the
same for the nutrient solution B.
10. Remove the smaller plants when the bigger plants start to
grow four to six (4 – 6) leaves.
11. Check the water level one to two (1 – 2) time(s) a week and
occasionally add the diluted nutrient solution A/B mixture until
the plants are mature.
NOTE: It is recommended to wash the water tank every two (2)
months and replace it with new nutrient solutions.
NOTES: Use diluted nutrient solution mixture as needed. Do not
overfill the water tank.
Discard the remaining diluted nutrient solution mixture as it
cannot be stored for later use.
CAUTION: Nutrients have a storage life of two (2) years
in unopened bottles if stored away from sunlight at room
temperature. Mixed nutrient solution with added water has a
storage life of five (5) months if stored away from sunlight.
PREPPING THE NUTRIENT SOLUTION
1. Fill an empty container with 500 ml of clean
water.
2. Next, add five (5) ml of concentrated nutrient
solution A into 500 ml of clean water.
3. Then, add another 500 ml of clean water into
the mixture.
4. Finally, add five (5) ml of concentrated
nutrient solution B in the mixture.

CARE/MAINTENANCE
• To clean garden grower, take out removable parts (grow deck,
buoy, and water tray) and clean them with wash detergent. Rinse
them thoroughly and wipe them down with a clean cloth.
• Algae can occasionally develop in the water storage tank, but this
is natural and harmless. Make sure to regularly clean the water
tank with disinfectant to reduce the development of algae.
• Always make sure that the water level stays at an ecient level.
If the seedling blocks receive too little water, the roots will wither.
If the seedling blocks receive too much water, the blocks may
develop algae growth.
• If algae forms around the water storage tank, use a soft cloth to
wipe down the water tank.
• If the light on the button does not come on after being pressed,
then it is likely that machine was not plugged in properly. Unplug
the machine and reconnect it or check the power supply making
sure it has ecient power.
• Tend to and allow your plants to continue to grow eectively by
cutting o dried leaves and stems.
• Dried up leaves may fall o on their own around the grower. Wipe
dried leaves and dust away around the grower occasionally to
reduce risk of insects.
• Mold may form around the basket if the grower is not properly
maintained. If this happens, remove seed(s) from seedling block
and clean o the basket. Add new seed(s) to the seedling block
of the basket and start the growing process again.
• Please turn o the power and remove the plug when the device is
not in use.
• Wipe the machine with a soft fabric cloth during the planting
period on a regular basis.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why is it that plants grow faster in my 3-Pod Indoor Herb Garden
Kit than they naturally would in conventional soil?
The growth and development of your plants is 100% natural. The
faster growth is due to the composition of the nutrient solutions.
Most plants can only absorb ionic elements. When plants grow in
conventional soil, these elements must first be dissolved from other
organic elements and transported to the root, which then absorbs
and further processes them. These same elements are contained
directly in the nutrient solutions without any further processing
required by the plant. Furthermore, having your garden indoors
means that there are no detrimental eects from the weather, such
as heavy winds, flooding, or excessive heat. For these reasons,
plants will grow more quickly in your 3-Pod Indoor Herb Garden Kit
than they would when planted in conventional soil.
Does growing vegetables attract insects?
Your garden kit should be insect-free, since it uses no conventional
soil, so there is no opportunity for insects to lay eggs. We
recommend keeping your garden in a clean environment and
regularly cleaning up the dust and fallen leaves to make sure it does
not attract bugs.
Does the LED light produce any harmful UV rays?
The LED light system does not generate any ultraviolet radiation,
because it is not necessary for plant growth.
Where is the best location to place my 3-Pod Indoor Herb Garden
Kit? Do the plants require any additional natural sunlight?
Your Ivation 3-Pod Indoor Herb Garden Kit only requires a
power connection to operate. However, in order to more easily
facilitate the transportation of water to and from the kit, it can be
advantageous to place the kit in a room with easy access to a sink
or other source of water. You can place the kit in your bedroom, in
your kitchen, or even in a basement, as the ideal growth conditions
for your plants are facilitated by the kit’s systems. You should
not, however, place it on any balconies or terraces, regardless of
whether they are open or closed. Too much sunlight, too high of a
temperature, and other weather eects can hurt the growth of your
plants.

Is it acceptable to plant seeds in dierent growth phases directly
next to one another?
The more mature a plant is, the stronger its roots and the bigger its
leaves are. Both of these factors can aect the growth of smaller
plants that might be in the vicinity of a more well-developed plant.
Therefore, newer plants should always be planted a sucient
distance from mature ones.
Can algae growth occur in my 3-Pod Indoor Herb Garden Kit?
Algae can occasionally develop in the water tank, but this is safe,
natural, and not harmful. To reduce the risk of algae, make sure to
regularly clean the water tank with disinfectant.
How often should nutrient solution/water mixture be refilled?
For optimal results, always mix the nutrient solution with water
directly before filling the water tank. While your plants are small, the
nutrient solution should be replenished every two (2) weeks.
What kind of seeds can be planted?
The grower can take care of and grow herbs, flowers, fruits, and
vegetables. However, plants that grow downward (carrots, potatoes,
etc.) and plants that grow over 13" (which goes above the max height
of the lighting panel) can’t be cultivated in the grower.
How often does the water in the tank need to be changed?
The water in the tank does not need to be replaced. We have
designed a water circulation system in the tank to ensure that the
water in your tank will not deteriorate or spoil.
How often does the water tank need to be filled?
Fill the water tank when you feel the water level in the water tank is
too low or the alarm system goes o, indicating low water levels. As
a result, add the nutrient solution to the water tank accordingly.
What kind of water should be used?
No special water is required, normal water is fine. However, we
recommend using purified water to dilute the nutrient powder.
Will the plants in the garden grower attract mosquitos?
Mosquitoes like the taste of carbon dioxide. As long as there are
plants, mosquitoes will be attracted to the garden grower. Make sure
to maintain the sanitation of the garden grower to reduce the risk of
mosquitoes.
Do you need to arrange authorized personnel to come to install it?
The 3-Pod Indoor Herb Garden Kit is designed to be easy and quick
to assemble. The users can complete the assembly by carefully
following the instructions above. There are no tools needed for the

garden kit assembly.
Once the first wave of planting is complete, how do you start the
second wave?
Once the first set of seeds planted finish growing, the herbs and
vegetables can be harvested. After harvesting, unplug the machine
and clean the tank and water tank cover. The baskets are reusable
and can be set up once again after cleaning. The soil blocks in the
baskets are made from disposable material so it is recommended
that new soil blocks are purchased for new planting.
Why after planting for a period of time, are there small insects
next to the plant? How can I deal with the breeding of small
insects? How can we avoid the breeding of small insects?
a. The breeding of small insects is generally related to the
environment; if there are mosquitoes and other small flying
insects indoors, it is easier for insects to breed near the garden
grower.
b. It is recommended to clean your garden grower as soon as
possible if you suspect the breeding of insects near your plants.
To do this, use some insecticidal or disinfection treatment or
replace the water.
c. To avoid the breeding of insects, keep your indoor area
surrounding your garden grower clean.

LIMITED WARRANTY TO ORIGINAL CONSUMER
This Ivation 3-Pod Indoor Herb Garden Kit (“Product”), including any accessories included in the original
packaging, as supplied and distributed new by an authorized retailer is warranted by C&A Marketing,
Inc. (the “Company”) to the original consumer purchaser only, against certain defects in material and
workmanship (“Warranty”) as follows:
To receive Warranty service, the original consumer purchaser must contact the Company or its authorized
service provider for problem determination and service procedures. Proof of purchase in the form of a bill
of sale or receipted invoice, evidencing that the Product is within the applicable Warranty period(s), MUST
be presented to the Company or its authorized service provider in order to obtain the requested service.
Service options, parts availability, and response times may vary and may change at any time. In accordance
with applicable law, the Company may require that you furnish additional documents and/or comply with
registration requirements before receiving warranty service. Please contact our customer service for

Shipping expenses to the Company’s Return Facility are not covered by this warranty, and must be paid by
the consumer. The consumer likewise bears all risk of loss or further damage to the Product until delivery
to said facility.
EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS The Company warrants the Product against defects in materials and
workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of retail purchase by the
original end-user purchaser (“Warranty Period”). If a hardware defect arises and a valid claim is received
within the Warranty Period, the Company, at its sole option and to the extent permitted by law, will either
(1) repair the Product defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, (2) exchange the
Product with a Product that is new or which has been manufactured from new or serviceable used parts
and is at least functionally equivalent to the original device, or (3) refund the purchase price of the Product.
A replacement Product or part thereof shall enjoy the warranty of the original Product for the remainder of
the Warranty Period, or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides you
longer protection. When a Product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property,
while the replaced item becomes the Company’s property. Refunds can only be given if the original
Product is returned.
This Warranty does not apply to:
(a) Any non-Ivation 3-Pod Indoor Herb Garden Kit product, hardware or software, even if packaged or
sold with the Product;
(b) Damage caused by use with non-Ivation 3-Pod Indoor Herb Garden Kit products;
(c) Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, flood, fire, earthquake, or other external causes;
(d) Damage caused by operating the Product outside the permitted or intended uses described by the
Company;
(e) Damage caused by third party services;
(f) A Product or part that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written
permission of the Company;
(g) Consumable parts, such as batteries, fuses, and bulbs;
(h) Cosmetic damage; or
(i) If any Ivation 3-Pod Indoor Herb Garden Kit serial number has been removed or defaced.
This Warranty is valid only in the country where the consumer purchased the Product, and only applies to
Products purchased and serviced in that country.
The Company does not warrant that the operation of the Product will be uninterrupted or error-free. The
Company is not responsible for damage arising from your failure to follow instructions relating to its use.
