Safety Precautions
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Make sure to thoroughly read and understand all instructions prior to use.
• Soldering tip and other accessories will get hot during operation. Do not touch the tip or the
accessories during or immediately after operation, and do not place them on flammable objects.
• Do not pack this or any other flammable gas item in any checked or carry-on baggage during
travel. The Department of Transportation’s Hazardous Materials Regulations forbid the carriage
of butane or other flammable gas products on passenger aircrafts.
• The tank contains extremely flammable gas that is under pressure. Be very careful handling it.
• Only use liquid butane fuel to fill and refill this torch.
• Always inspect the torch for gas leaks before and after each use, as well as after refilling. Never
use a flame to check for leaks. If you suspect a gas leak in your torch, use soapy water and look
for continuous bubbles.
• Never heat the fuel tank.
• Always have a fire extinguisher or a bucket of water near your work area.
• Make sure to use OSHA-specified coating removal methods if you are preparing plated metal
work pieces to be heated.
• Keep hair and clothing away from the flame. Loose clothes or long hair can easily catch fire and
cause serious injury. Hot solder can cause burns.
• Always point away from your eyes and body when igniting or operating the solder iron. The flame
is invisible in sunlight and can cause injury if not used with extreme caution.
• Never point the torch flame or exhaust toward your face, other people (or their faces), animals, or
any other flammable objects/persons.
• Never attempt to use this device as a cigarette, cigar, or pipe lighter.
• Never use this device in or around flammable fumes, liquids, or combustive materials.
• Never leave this device unattended while it is lit.
• Don’t ever attempt to use this torch to repair or heat any containers that held flammable liquids,
gases, or any type of chemicals, as this creates the risk of fire and/or explosion.
• During operation, make sure that unintended parts and/or materials are not being heated, as heat
may be conducted to nearby objects that could catch fire or become pressurized when subjected
to heat.
• If you need to handle work with two hands during torch operation, make sure the torch rests
securely on its stand while doing so.
• Do not attempt to repair a damaged torch on your own.
• Do not modify the torch or attempt to adjust the factory settings in any way.
• Do not store this product in direct sunlight or any area where the temperature might exceed
104°F (40°C).
• Do not immerse in water.
• Make sure the on/o switch is firmly closed and the flame is completely extinguished after you
finish using this appliance.
• Do not touch the torch flame guard, flame diuser, tips, and/or attachments until they have fully
cooled. These items become extremely hot during operation and remain heated after being
extinguished. Touching them before they have cooled could result in severe burns.
• Always allow the torch to cool completely before refilling with butane, changing the accessories
or attachments, cleaning, or storing it.
• Shut o the gas flow if the torch is accidentally extinguished at any time.
• Take precautions so that the butane gas does not make contact with your (and anyone else’s) eyes
or skin. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with lots of water and promptly seek
medical advice. If the gas comes in contact with your (or anyone else’s) skin, flush the aected
areas with lots of water.
• Don’t breathe the gas, fumes, vapor, or spray from the butane tank. If inhaled, make sure to
remove the aected party to fresh air immediately.
• Wear a respirator or similar protection if you are working on any projects with this torch where
toxic or nausea-inducing vapors may be created or already exist. Always be sure to avoid fumes
from fluxes, lead-based paint, and all metal-heating procedures. Fumes from cadmium plating
and/or galvanized metal could potentially be present.
• Use only in well-ventilated areas.
• Do not smoke while filling, refilling, or operating this appliance.
• Save these instructions for future reference. If you give this device away, make sure to pass along
these instructions as well so other parties can be safe while using this device.

Butane Filling Instructions
1. Please only use high-quality butane gas.
2. Before filling, make sure that the on/o switch is turned to the
“O” position.
3. Holding the appliance upside down, insert the butane gas refill
nozzle vertically into the gas refill valve as shown.
Push the butane gas refill nozzle down into the gas refill valve
until the appliance’s fuel tank is full. (When full, gas will escape from the gas refill valve.)
4. After filling the unit, allow the gas to stabilize for a few minutes before igniting.
Tips for Igniting
1. When igniting the appliance, make sure you’re holding it in an upright position.
2. Slide the ignition switch forward and hold for a minimum of three (3) seconds before
releasing it. If the unit does not light, repeat the process.
Using the Blow Torch Function
1. Ensure the torch is cool to the touch by placing your hand near the
tip to see if any residual heat is emanating from the tip (do not
actually touch the tip until you are certain it is safe!), then unscrew
the solder head by turning it counter-clockwise to remove it from the
blow torch connection. You will also need to remove the hot air
blower head in order for the blow torch to produce an open flame.
2. Remove the black plastic ring around the silver sleeve by unscrewing it in a counter-
clockwise direction. Once the black plastic ring is removed, pull the silver blow torch
sleeve o the attachment and remove the hot air blower/solder head attachment by
pushing it down through the sleeve into your hand.

Using the Soldering Iron Function
1. First time use only: when using the copper soldering tip for the first time, make sure to
preheat the soldering iron to the temperature of the solderable wire (usually about 30
seconds). Apply tin wire to the tip of the iron to complete this process.
WARNING: do not use the copper tip without first applying tin on its surface.
2. Ensure the blow torch head is cool to the touch, then screw the solder head onto the
hot air blower/solder head attachment. If the hot air blower/solder head has previously
been removed, follow these instructions to re-insert it:
a. Unscrew the blow torch head by removing the black plastic ring, then slide the silver
sleeve o.
b. Insert the hot air blower/solder head attachment into the silver sleeve of the blow
torch head.
c. Replace the black plastic ring and blow torch head (now containing the necessary
attachment) by screwing it on clockwise.
3. To ignite it, turn the on/o switch to the “—” position,
and push the red ignition button on the side up to
trigger the flame.
4. After igniting the torch, turn the flame adjustment knob to maximum
to preheat the solder iron tip.
5. After preheating, use the flame adjustment knob until the flame produced is sucient
for your needs.
6. Make sure to check that the blue flame is no longer visible to avoid damaging the unit
and its plastic parts.

3. To ignite, turn the on/o switch to the “—” position,
and push the red ignition button on the side up to
trigger the flame.
4. After igniting, use the flame adjustment knob until the flame
produced is sucient for your needs.
NOTE: We do not recommend running the blow torch for more than
ten minutes at a time.

6
Adjusting the Temperature
1. Adjust the torch flame by sliding the adjustment lever from left to right.
2. For the best results, adjust the length of the flame so that it’s approximately ½" to 1"
(10 – 25 mm) during use. Do not make the flame too long, as this will waste butane,
create an unstable frame, and risks the torch overheating
3. For hands-free usage, flip the torch stand down so the torch can rest on the workbench
or work table.
Reminder (Important!)
• Once the catalyst located in the solder head (as shown in the image)
turns red, the unit is ready to use for solder or blowtorch functionality.
• Always keep the torch hole in the solder head facing upward as
shown in order to avoid overheating.
• If a blue flame is still visible in the hole, remember to re-trigger again
to stop the blue flame from appearing. If the soldering torch doesn’t
switch to the solder function, and the flame continues to burn, this will lead to the unit
being damaged (as shown in the images below), and the plastic parts will melt. Please
be aware of this danger and pay careful attention when using this device.
