Rugged Pager Number Reprogramming

Rugged Smart Charger Re-Programming
With the Smart Charger, you can renumber pagers back into sequential order aswell asensure that all pagers have
the same configuration.
Program Pagers - Auto-program Pagers 1-12
The pagers will be set to the programming applied prior to
shipping as well as renumbering the pagers into sequential
order.
>First position, indicated by the location with the ,
will be renumbered to the number shown on the
charger’s display
>Pagers will renumber based on their position in the
charger, image at right.
>To activate the programming cycle.
oPRESS and HOLD the PROG button on the
charger for eight (8) seconds.
oCharger will beep twice indicating that the
cycle has begun.
oYou will see the pagers perform several
functions as it applies each of the pager
configurations. When the process is
complete, all pagers will be in sequential order.
>NOTE: Replacements for lost pages will arrive with the number 888
on the display.
Replacement of Lost Pagers
Replacements forlost pagers will arrive with the number 8 8 8 on the
display.
>Place new pagers into the charger in any location and use the PROG function listed above to have them work
with your existing system.

Program Pagers - With Specific Starting Number (example 13 - 24)
1. Press and hold both the PROG and UP arrow buttons for 8 seconds until the charger beeps, then release
2. “Stno” will show on the display
-Note: Stno is the abbreviation for starting number
3. Press the PROG button once
4. Use the UP or DOWN arrow buttons to adjust the starting number
5. When the number has been chosen- press and hold the PROG button until the charger beeps and the
display shows “SAVE”
6. Use the DOWN arrow to exit
7. To apply the changes, press and hold the PROG button for 8 seconds until the charger beeps- then release
-Pagers will go through a programming cycle and all will renumber when complete

JTECH charging bases with a digital display are programmable; meaning the settings can be altered and
applied to the pagers in the base. This includes the 12-slot Rugged charger and the newest version of the 30-
slot IQ charger. To change the starting number- which is indicated by the digital display- follow the
instructions below. Each step must be completed within 10 seconds. If more than 10 seconds has elapsed-
return to step one.
