Congratulations on your new JACOB
JENSENTM Telephone HT20D.
The telephone is designed in Denmark by Jacob Jensen, whose products have
gained international recognition for their original, simple and classic design.
Jacob Jensen has received about 100 prizes from around the world and has
19 products included in The Design Study Collection and The Design Collection
of The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The HT20D is specially designed for leading hotels. It features digital signal
processing technology and other patented technologies, which ensures clear
sound, stable quality, powerful function and elegant outlook design.
A. INSTALLATION
A.1. Install power and telephone cord
First please connect the T-Cable’s power jack (Marked 1 in the below figure)
with the power adaptor. Then please connect the T-Cable’s RJ11 (4 pin. Marked
2 in the below figure) with the telephone line jack in the room. Finally please
connect the T-Cable’s RJ11 port (6 pin. Marked 3 in the below figure) to the
jack port ( Marked 4 in the below figure), which is on the back of the phone.
A.2. Wall mounting
The distance between the two wall mounting holes is 55 mm. The holes are
suitable for a 6 mm drill.

Note:
1. Please install the phone in a clean dry environment and avoid dampness.
2. The telephone should be kept away from fire, water spray and shock.
Clean the surface with a soft cloth; chemical solvent is prohibited to use.
3. Put the supplied chargeable batteries into the handset, pay attention to the
polarity of socket and signal ribbon cable, and notice the direction of the
jack and the socket during installation of the batteries. It is strictly prohibited
to use the wrong polarity batteries.
B. OPERATION
Making a call
1. When the handset is in the charging station, picking up the handset will
enter off-hook status.
2. When the handset isn’t in the charging station, press (green) to enter
off-hook status; press (green) again to enter the speaker mode.
3. Replace the handset on the charging station or press (red) to enter
on-hook status.
Note: The handset doesn’t work without external power.
Answer a call
1. When the handset is in the charging station, picking up the handset will
automatically answer the phone call.
2. When the handset is not in the charging station, press (green).
Press (green) again to enter the speaker mode.
4. Press (red) to finish the call.
Redial
In Off-hook mode, press REDIAL to dial the last number dialled. After five minutes
the number will be deleted automatically.
Volume Adjustment
Off-hook, please press to adjust the voice volume.
On-hook, please press to adjust the ringer volume.
Hold
During a call, press HOLD to put the current party on hold. Press (green)
to release call hold.
The change of Speaker and Non-speaker status
Press (green) to toggle between speaker status.
PAGE
Pressing PAGE on the base station will call the cordless handset.
Mute Function
During a call, press MUTE to mute local voice. The mute LED will light up, indicating
that the other party cannot hear you. Press MUTE again to resume the conversation,
the mute LED will turn off.

Service Buttons
1. Off-hook, press the service button to dial the stored numbers.
2. Programme the service buttons
Off-hook, press *#8#on the registered handset. Then use
the cloner to programme the service buttons. The three service buttons’
programmed telephone numbers are the same as the M8, M9 and M10 of the
cloner. For detailed information, please refer to the cloner user manual.
Registration
1. Press PAGE on the base for 5 seconds, the charging indicator will flash.
2. Press HOLD + *+ HOLD + MUTE on the handset.
3. If the cordless handset rings, it’s successful.
During the registration process, the phone is disabled.
C. MAINTENANCE
• Do not expose this product to dust, strong sunlight, humidity, high
temperature, or mechanical shock.
• Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleansers on this product.
Keep the unit dust free by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
D. TROUBLESHOOTING
1. No dialing tone
• Check the telephone network
• Check the connection of T-cable and power adaptor
2. No ringing or no continuous ring
• Check the telephone line
• Check the quantity of parallel phone set
• Check flash settings
3. Noise during talk
• Check the telephone line
• Check the T-cable
4. Cordless handset cannot be switched on for more than 2 minutes
• If there is reminding sound after pressing (green), it means that
cordless handset wasn’t registered to the phone base, need register again.
• Cordless handset and phone base’s distance beyond range. You should get
closer to the base unit.
• Batteries do not have enough power, need recharge.
5. If there is any problem, please do not open the phone body. Please contact
Bittel or our local representative. Thanks.
E. BATTERY
1. The battery should be charged for over 8 hours for the first time or if the battery
hasn’t been used for over 5 months.
2. After 3 or 4 times, the new battery will reach the best status.
3. Please take out of the battery and keep them in dry surrounding if it won’t be
used for long time.
4. The battery should be replaced after 20 months. Only use manufacturer
approved batteries.

that contains, among other information, the FCC registration number and the
ringer equivalence number (REN) for this telephone. If requested, you must provide
this information to the Telephone Company.

is in compliance with the essential requirements and other relevant
provisions of Directive 2014/53/EU.
H. JACKS
Use RJ11C USOC standard modular jacks.
I. WARRANTY
This product is warranted for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase
against faulty materials or workmanship. If during this period a defect arises, we
may repair or replace the product, at Bittel’s discretion, provided that:
1. The product has not been used for any purpose other than normal use.
2. Unauthorized product repair or modifications have not been attempted.
3. The product has never been used in a harsh or corrosive environment.
4. No damage in transit.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES THE BUYER SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. THE
BUYER MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM JURISDICTION TO
JURISDICTION.
This warranty is only valid for merchandise purchased from the authorized dealers
authorized by Bittel or the licence owner.
