Jamo Introduces A 400 Speakers
Entry-level flat-panel series a new standard for audio-visual elegance
With similar depth and styling to popular flat-panel televisions, the new Jamo A 400 speakers are elegant, high-performance
audio solutions that beautifully complement this growing consumer electronics segment.
Styled by award-winning designers Smedegaard and Weis, the A 400 series is part of the company’s Aesthetic range of designer
speakers. While maintaining the same smart design ethic as the company’s well-established A 70 series, the entry-level A 400
models come in at lower price points by utilizing an inert extruded polymer cabinet material rather than aluminum alloy.
Consisting of five mix-and-match models, the A 400 lineup includes:
A 407
Ideal for main front-channel use in a multi-channel home theater
system, this floorstanding model employs a 1-inch (25mm)
woven textile dome tweeter and four mid/bass drivers.
A 405
Perfect for front and/or rear-channel surround use in a multi-
channel home theater system, this satellite speaker is designed
for shelf or wall mounting. Essentially a smaller version of the
A 407, it employs a 1-inch (25mm) woven textile dome tweeter
and two mid/bass drivers.
A 402
Although it’s the smallest speaker in the series, this wall-
mountable satellite still produces high-performance sound from
a single coaxial 3-inch driver and a ¾-inch tweeter mounted on a
separate plastic “bridge.”
A 400 CEN
This dialogue speaker features the same driver configuration as
the A 405, but is designed to allow for horizontal shelf or wall
mounting (mounting accessories included).
A 400 SUB
A reflex-ported design, this sophisticated subwoofer provides
impressive low-frequency response by employing an 8-inch driver
and 200 watts of power.
As with every Jamo product, the A 400 series meticulously
combines innovative technology with quality craftsmanship and
exquisite Danish design.

Jamo Adds New Series to Applauded Concert Family
Entry-level C 400 speakers put affordable spin on company’s serious listening approach
Made for serious listening, the Jamo Concert series has always been the very embodiment of Danish sound design—cutting-
edge technology enclosed in beautifully crafted cabinets. So, now that the company is adding six entry-level models to this
high-acclaimed family, even more consumers can afford to enjoy their splendor.
Following in the footsteps of the C 80 and C 60 series, the new C 400 lineup brings ultra-rigid front baffles, technologically-
advanced drive units, and top-quality finishes to very reasonable price points. Plus, these latest models continue to utilize
the following proprietary Jamo technologies:
Decoupled Tweeter Technology (DTT) – This patent-pending mounting system prevents unwanted cabinet vibrations that can
cloud and color sound.
WaveGuide Technology – This exclusive technology helps control the sound pattern for a more open and dynamic experience
as well as makes it easier to position the speakers in a room.
Hard Conical Cones (HCC) – This technology allows for extremely low distortion throughout the range as well as creates a
very open and detailed mid-range for optimum voice reproduction.
Available in black ash or dark apple finishes, the C 400 series consists of the following:
C 407
Standing just over a meter tall, this elegant floorstanding speaker is a three-way,
bass-reflex configuration. While its maximum power handling is 220 watts, its
low-frequency response extends to a generous 35Hz.
C 405
A smaller floorstanding design, this model is a two-way, bass-reflex design that
employs two 6.5-inch (165mm) bass drivers alongside a 1-inch (25mm) DTT
tweeter, creating a high sensitivity of 89dB.
C 403
A two-way, bass-reflex design, this speaker is intended for stand or bookshelf
mounting. It utilizes a single 5.5-inch (140mm) driver alongside a 1-inch
(25mm) DTT tweeter.
C 401
As the smallest of the bunch, this compact satellite speaker is great for use
in 2.1-, 5.1-, and 7.1-channel systems or alongside a micro hi-fi receiver.
It employs a single 4-inch (102mm) mid/bass driver and a 1-inch (25mm)
tweeter in a bass-reflex cabinet.
C 400 CEN
This center channel speaker plays an important role in delivering a multi-channel
system’s dialogue. It is a two-way, bass-reflex design that utilizes the same 1-
inch (25mm) DTT tweeter as the other C 400 models as well as dual 4-inch
(102mm) mid/bass drive units.
C 400 SUR
This compact, well-engineered dipolar speaker is great for rear-channel home
theater surround sound use.

For increased low-frequency response, Jamo recommends pairing the C 400 series up
with its existing SUB 650 or SUB 550 subwoofers. Both models are available in black
ash or dark apple finishes.
SUB 650
A sealed-box design, this subwoofer is the heaviest-hitting option with a front-firing 12-
inch (305mm) low-throw woofer. With 650 watts of peak power, the SUB 650 thunders
out the most dynamic special effects with ease, down to a knee-trembling 24Hz.
SUB 550
The smaller SUB 550 sports a 10-inch (254mm) woofer in a slotted port cabinet and
is driven by a 550-watt amplifier. Its front-mounted volume control makes for easy
adjustments and you can expect a smooth, low-frequency response down to 26Hz.
Jamo DMR 70 is Haute Couture
New all-in-one DVD receiver adopts consumer electronics industry’s finish of choice
With high-gloss black currently being the “it” finish within the consumer electronics industry, Jamo is introducing the DMR 70, a
powerful 5.1-channel DVD receiver that’s as noir as they come.
However, there’s more to this all-in-one receiver than just sleek styling. Unlike competitive models, the DMR 70 is equally
impressive with music and movie sound. In fact, by employing 5 x 65 watts of power as well as a 200-watt SUB 200 active
subwoofer, it easily makes the most out of today’s demanding soundtracks. Additionally, the DMR 70 utilizes Dolby Digital, DTS
5.1, and Dolby Pro-Logic II to ensure a dynamic, wraparound sonic experience.
Measuring just 55mm-high, the DMR 70’s slim stature allows it to be installed within the most confined locations with minimal
fuss. It utilizes a modern Class D amplifier, which allows component sizes to be reduced dramatically compared to traditional
methods of amplification.
Designed for the flat-screen revolution, this HDMI compliant device delivers pristine upscaled 720p/1080i video to your display
(component video and RGB Scart outputs are also provided). A wide range of video encoding formats are supported, including
DivX, WMA, SVCD, MP3, and JPEG.
Portable digital audio devices connect via the USB socket and auxiliary input jacks that are mounted on the DMR 70’s front
panel, where they are most convenient. For more personal listening, there’s also a headphone jack.
The dedicated subwoofer that comes with the DMR 70 has been plucked from Jamo’s regular product lineup. A bass-reflex
design, the SUB 200 is equipped with an 8-inch woofer and features auto on/off and carries controls for level, cut-off
frequency and phase, alongside both low and high-level inputs for extra versatility.

Jamo Adds Radio Tuner to i200 iPod® Speaker
Company ups the ante on popular digital music system
With the introduction of its compact i200
docking station in late 2006, Jamo set a new
standard within the iPod accessory space.
Today, the company plans to build on the
success of this highly applauded system by
introducing a new version that features an FM
stereo tuner.
Highly sensitive and easy to operate, the i200’s
FM tuner lets users search for FM stations and
assign up to five presets using the supplied
wand-type remote control.
Just like the original version, the latest i200 is a sleek, minimalist design that offers big sound and a wide variety of
functional uses. Measuring just 380mm wide by 95mm deep and standing just 125mm tall, this elegant and compact
system can easily be mounted to a wall or placed on a shelf.
A spring-loaded docking bay accepts and charges iPods with 30-pin connectors. Well inserts are included to securely
dock the assorted models. Non-dockable first and second generation iPods as well as other digital devices connect via a
3.5mm auxiliary audio input.
Carefully selected drive-units and sophisticated electronics allow this system to sound exceedingly musical and deliver a
frequency response of 120Hz – 20kHz.
For increased low-frequency response, users can connect an active subwoofer—preferably the Jamo SUB 200—to the
i200’s full-bandwidth, sub-out connection. Additionally, the same connection can be used to output audio to the JamoLink
multi-room system, which distributes the iPod’s music all over the house.
Available in a high-gloss black or white finish, the new i200 fits comfortable into any office or living environment.
Close at hand, the DMR 70 remote control directly reflects the importance Jamo places on products being easy and logical
to operate in daily use.
For rooms where space isn’t an issue, the company recommends pairing the DMR 70 with a pair of A 405 floorstanding
speakers to serve as mains, a pair of A 402 speakers for rear-channel sound, and an A 400 CEN center channel for crisp
dialogue. When dealing with smaller spaces, the DMR 70 works great with four of the company’s A 102 satellites along with
an A 10 CEN center channel speaker.

Klipsch Palladium™Floorstander a Symbol of Supreme Luxury
Company considers globally-inspired flagship speaker the quintessence of audio
Klipsch developed its new flagship Palladium™P-39F
floorstanding speaker to be a universal masterpiece of sound
and design. The company plans to use this ultra-luxury product
with unprecedented proprietary technologies to fulfill the most
exacting demands of select customers around the world.
“Offering the highest level of perfection in every respect, this
speaker is the pinnacle of modern-day horn-loaded technology
and craftsmanship,” said Jim Garrett, Klipsch director of product
planning. “Steady global growth of the Klipsch brand has proven
to more and more people that horn-loaded speakers just sound
better. Now that the Klipsch name is highly recognized and
trusted on a much broader scale, we believe the market is ready
to experience our more esoteric side.”
According to Garrett, a large percentage of high-end speakers
utilize “off-the-shelf” drivers whereas, the P-39F drivers were
carefully designed and tested in the company’s advanced
engineering and technology center in Indianapolis, Ind.
A 3.5-way Tapered Array™ design, the P-39F employs a new,
proprietary horn-loaded tweeter assembly made of unique
acoustically-damped materials, a sophisticated inverted dome
midrange, and three high-output woofers to create a stunningly
precise audio experience with high sensitivity and extremely low
distortion.
Developed from the ground up, the speaker’s ¾-inch titanium
diaphragm tweeter utilizes two powerful neodymium magnets
and a resistively damped back chamber. A uniquely chambered
phase plug and exclusive Tractrix® Horn combination delivers an
extended high-frequency response that is inherently flat from
3kHz to 30kHz. Additionally, this arrangement reduces heat levels
so that the driver will maintain its full dynamic capability at any
volume level.
Housed in its own acoustically-tuned, sealed enclosure, the P-39F midrange employs a 4.5-inch inverted aluminum
diaphragm driver powered by three high-temperature neodymium magnets, allowing it to operate effortlessly from 500Hz to
3kHz. A copper-capped pole piece reduces inductance modulation, giving a low-distortion, clean sound. The 1-inch voice
coil not only delivers high sensitivity, but also generates a very responsive and accurate moving system.
The midrange’s lightweight foamed rubber surround allows the P-39F to achieve improved linear excursion, especially in the
high-frequency range. The midrange driver is coupled to a 90-degree by 60-degree acoustically-damped Tractrix Horn via a
four-to-one compression phase plug, which is specifically designed to operate over the midrange frequencies.
The P-39F three low-frequency drivers employ 9-inch aluminum cone woofers powered by a unique three-part neodymium
magnet structure with dual stabilizing rings that reduce nonlinear flux. Triple ports further enhance low-distortion bass
11

response. Each woofer’s 1.5-inch voice coil responds accurately
to the smallest signal modulation, yet can also handle the high
power of the most demanding soundtracks.
For signal purity and perfect driver integration, the P-39F’s
crossover network features the finest components. When
combined with the smooth, natural roll off of the drivers, the
network creates a fourth-order electro-acoustic filter. Found in
a damped region of the speaker’s base plate, the network also
allows the tri-wire input connectors to be hidden from view.
Featuring a “boat-tail” enclosure, the P-39F’s cabinet walls are
up to 30mm thick and feature multiple laminations of medium
density fiberboard that have been molded through a proprietary
process. Extensive internal bracing gives the speaker a more rigid
and structurally sound enclosure.
It is also important to note that every P-39F comes as a
“matching” left and right speaker pair. Meaning, not only are all
of the driver components within each particular set acoustically
matched, their cabinets also coordinate with one another by
positioning their triple ports on opposite sides and sharing the
same wood grain finish.
Having worked in conjunction with DesignworksUSA—a highly-
respected design studio that has done projects for BMW, MINI,
and Rolls Royce—Klipsch was able to make the P-39F a truly
unique and elite statement piece. A pair easily transforms your
living space into a “stylish gallery” with the richness of their real
wood veneer cabinets—available in three high-class finishes—and
overall clean appearance with no visible fasteners.
“True luxury is about the best of everything and the P-39F
certainly embodies that notion,” said Garrett. “A real object of
desire, this speaker could easily be considered the Dom Pérignon
of floorstanders.”
The P-39F floorstanders are slated to begin shipping to the
domestic and international specialty retail and contracting
markets this fall. For a complete home theater experience, six
other globally-inspired high-end models, which use the same
technology and design principles as the P-39F, will be introduced
at CES 2008 in Las Vegas.

style of flat-panel televisions, but also bring stunning audio to a stunning image.
In total, there are six models within the new Icon Series: the XF-48 fully-active
floorstander, XL-23 left/center/right speaker, XB-10 bookshelf/satellite speaker, XC-
10 center channel speaker, as well as the XW-500d and XW-300d subwoofers.
All of these speakers, except for the subwoofers, utilize a new wide dispersion
Tractrix® Horn-loaded tweeter with XT™ technology. This proprietary design diffuses
sound in a smooth, enveloping 80-degree by 80-degree pattern from extremely thin
cabinets. As with all Klipsch horn-loaded technology, this version also produces more
output using less energy and delivers the company’s signature dynamic sound.
According to Jim Garrett, Klipsch director of product planning, studies show that
consumers will identify one TV as having a better-looking picture than another,
even when the only difference between the two TVs is a higher quality speaker
system. “High-quality audio triggers passionate, emotional responses that make the
entire entertainment experience better and that’s exactly what our lcon Series is
engineered to do,” he said.
As the top model in the series, the XF-48 floorstander employs two high-output 5.25-inch black fiberglass cone woofers
utilizing powerful neodymium motor structures, two passive radiators that are 8.5-inches high by 5.25-inches wide to
augment the speaker’s bass output, and a 0.75-inch titanium diaphragm compression driver for precision, clarity and
effortless power.
While the XL-23 left/center/right features dual high-output 4-inch black fiberglass cone woofers, the XB-10 bookshelf/
satellite and XC-10 center channel use one. All of these models utilize single 0.75-inch titanium diaphragm compression
drivers. For increased placement flexibility, these models can be paired with the company’s optional XFS floor stands.
The sealed XW-500d subwoofer achieves its hard-hitting intensity and clean output via a 10-inch driver and a 500-watt
Bash® amplifier. For the quick and easy adjustment of all functions, the subwoofer features Klipsch’s unique Digitally
Controlled Subwoofer (DCS™) technology that includes three equalization modes (flat, depth, and punch) and three user-
adjustable presets (music, movie, and night) to create specific listening preferences. The XW-300d subwoofer offers the same
features as the XW-500d, but employs an 8-inch driver and a 300-watt Bash amplifier.
Each of these models conceal over 60 years of class-leading research and development within stylish black grain anodized
aluminum extrusion enclosures with piano black gloss trim accents.
“Our Icon Series proves that you don’t have to sacrifice great sound for great style,” said Garrett.
To achieve the ultimate Icon home theater experience, Klipsch recommends the following setup: a pair of XL-48 floorstanders
to serve as main channels, an XL-23 left/center/right for a center channel, a pair of XB-10 bookshelf/satellites for surrounds
and an XW-500d subwoofer. However, because all of the speakers within the Icon line are cosmetically and sonically
matched, any combination will yield high-performance results.
The XF-48, XL-23 and XB-10 are slated to begin shipping to the specialty retail and contracting market in October, while the
XC-10, XW-500d, and XW-300d will become available in January.

Klipsch Introduces Quintet™ SL, Flat-Panel Version
of Best-Selling Home Theater Package
Step-up solution to further extend company’s surround sound popularity
With the Quintet™ Satellite
Microsystem being the all-time best-
selling home theater bundle for speaker
manufacturer Klipsch, the company
has launched a new step-up flat-panel
version called the Quintet SL.
“The Quintet Microsystem has been
wildly popular for us so it makes perfect
sense to turn it into a family affair,” said
Jim Garrett, Klipsch director of product
planning. “The Quintet SL once again
proves that compact dimensions and
sophisticated style can coexist with
dynamic sound.”
Comprised of three slender LCR (left, center, right) speakers and two satellites for surrounds, the five-channel Quintet SL
system incorporates over 60 years of class-leading research and development experience. For increased low-frequency power,
Klipsch recommends pairing the system up with its Synergy Series Sub-12 subwoofer that’s sold separately.
“Listening to movies through a flat-panel TV’s built-in speakers often yields a lackluster entertainment experience. A great
picture with mediocre sound won’t deliver the cinematic effect most folks crave,” said Garrett. “The Quintet SL and Sub-12
easily and affordably allow flat-panel owners to complete the movie theater experience at home. As the leader in professional
cinema sound, no other brand offers the same energy and intensity we do.”
Each magnetically shielded LCR speaker employs dual 3.5-inch high-output woofers and a 0.75-inch aluminum dome
tweeter mated to an exclusive Tractrix® Horn, a design that delivers genuine lifelike sound as well as produces more output
using less energy. Each also offers easy keyhole wall mounting and includes a pedestal foot for free-standing use as a left/
right main speaker or center channel.
The two satellites that serve as surrounds are the same speakers featured in the Quintet Microsystem. Each utilizes a 3.5-
inch long-throw woofer for remarkable detail and clarity and a 0.75-inch aluminum dome tweeter coupled to a MicroTractrix™
Horn for precise high frequencies. Additionally, these magnetically shielded satellites feature a swiveling pedestal foot for
convenient wall mounting or bookshelf placement.
The optional Sub-12 gets its hard-hitting intensity from a 12-inch, down-firing driver coupled to a highly efficient BASH
amplifier that creates 300 watts of continuous power and 650 watts of dynamic power. Its built-in, steep-slope (24dB/
octave) low-pass crossover is continuously adjustable from 40 to 120Hz. A phase control facilitates acoustical integration of
the subwoofer with the other speakers in the system. An “auto power” feature enables the subwoofer to turn itself on and off
(standby) automatically, based on the presence or absence of an audio signal.
In addition to using premium components throughout, the Quintet SL system has a modern, refined industrial design. While
the LCRs and satellites feature a dark gray finish with medium gray accents, the Sub-12 is available in a black ash vinyl finish
with titanium accents.

Klipsch Enters Earphone Market With Several Proprietary Technologies
New three-model Custom Series designed to offer complete immersion and complete comfort
As the number one speaker brand in the United States and the leader in professional cinema sound, Klipsch is applying
its 60-plus years of audio experience, along with state-of-the-art proprietary technologies, to deliver a new line of
premium earphones.
The company’s three Custom Series models—Custom 3, Custom 2, and Custom 1— are not only designed to offer great
comfort and sound, they also allow for a complete personalized fit.
“Klipsch has always been passionate about delivering the most accurate, dynamic, and powerful listening experiences.
And our Custom earphones continue that philosophy,” said Tom Gospel, Klipsch program management director. “They
offer better noise isolation, reduce ear fatigue, and deliver the highest audio performance so users can listen longer and
better.”
All three of these earphones utilize patent-pending Contour Ear Gels, which are anatomically designed to accurately
fit inside the human ear canal. These soft, oval silicon tips reduce ear fatigue as well as provide an amazing seal for
excellent noise isolation and bass response. Because ear canal measurements vary, each Custom model comes with five
different ear gel sizes: small, medium, and large single flange designs as well as small and large double flange designs. To
prevent the ear gels from getting lodged in a user’s ear, Klipsch has also designed a patent-pending earphone nozzle with
mechanical locking ring.
For a perfect exterior comfort, flexible ear wires bend over and around the ears so they can be formed to whatever
fit is best for each individual user. So not only do these adaptable wires provide optimal comfort, they also let users
experience full or partial noise isolation—a great safety feature for on-the-go users. It’s just a matter of pulling the ear gels
out of the ear canals and adjusting the wires to firmly position the earphone nozzles over the canals.
Furthermore, Klipsch has gone to great lengths to ensure the long-lasting durability of these Custom earphones, up to and
including their 50-inch-long cables. The company has added appropriate strain relief at every cable connection point to a
avoid wire damage.
The Klipsch Custom Series earphone line consists of:
Custom 3 flagship earphones employ exclusive KG723 tweeters, KG731 woofers, and a patent-
pending electro-acoustic crossover system to deliver a studio reference acoustic experience. This
model comes in a high-gloss black finish with copper accents and includes an imitation leather
carrying case that will also fit an 80G iPod®. Also includes a ¼-inch adaptor, an airline adaptor,
five sets of ear gels, and a cleaning tool.
Custom 2 earphones employ exclusive KG534 balanced dual armatures in each ear for an
enhanced full-range acoustic experience—crisp highs and deep lows. This model comes in a
charcoal gray finish with metallic silver accents and includes a full-size carrying case that will
also fit an 80G iPod. Also includes an airline adaptor, five sets of ear gels, and a cleaning tool.
Custom 1 earphones employ exclusive KG332 balanced armatures for deeper bass, a robust
midrange, and clearer highs. This model comes in a high-gloss black finish with off-white accents
and includes an earphone carrying pouch, five sets of ear gels, and a cleaning tool.
These Custom earphone models are slated to hit the specialty and mass retail markets in
November.

Klipsch RoomGroove Creates Wireless Multi-Room Audio Experience
New high-performance wireless iPod® speaker doubles as transceiver
Alone, the Klipsch RoomGroove makes a great iPod speaker, but combine it with other RoomGroove units and you get an af-
fordable, high-performance wireless home audio system.
“With intelligent wireless technology and dynamic sound performance, our RoomGroove fills the market gap for a high-quality
multi-room music platform that’s simple to install and operate,” said Tony Ostrom, Klipsch director of product planning. “It’s a
product that allows users to easily expand their Klipsch sound from room-to-room without being tripped up or tied down.”
The RoomGroove is a true two-way, stereo sound system that utilizes premium woofers, crossovers, and horn-loaded tweeters
to deliver accurate, efficient, and compromise-free acoustics. It features a retractable dock that charges all iPods with 30-pin
connectors and includes Apple universal well inserts to accommodate multiple iPod sizes. Other digital players as well as
devices with a line level audio output easily connect via an auxiliary input.
Requiring no wiring beyond a power cord, each RoomGroove also acts as a transmitter or receiver, meaning it can wirelessly
send CD-quality music to other RoomGroove units or receive CD-quality music from a transmitting RoomGroove.
The robust 2.4GHz wireless technology found in the RoomGroove offers unlimited add-on opportunities. Plus, the technology
“sniffs out” the entire 2.4GHz band to detect other wireless technologies in use, such as wireless routers, and then transmits
around the spectrum used by those sources. The home code dial on each of these wireless speakers allows users to select a
code specific to all of the units in their homes to avoid interference with neighboring systems.
And, a RoomGroove gives you a choice. If a home has three RoomGrooves and “Song A” is playing in the bedroom and “Song
B” is playing in the office, then the RoomGroove in the kitchen can listen to either song or play what’s on its own iPod.
Available in a sleek black finish, the RoomGroove comes with an IR remote control and is ready to perform as soon as you
plug it in and dock an iPod.
