•Sorgt für gesunde und vitale Reptilien durch eektive Versorgung
mit lebenswichtigem UV-A und UV-B Licht.
•UV-Licht ist für die Entstehung von Vitamin D3aus Vorstufen
erforderlich, die mit der Nahrung aufgenommen wurden. Dadurch
wird eine gezielte natürliche Versorgung der Reptilien mit Vitamin
D3 sichergestellt.
•Erzeugt gleichzeitig Wärme und Licht. Reptilien assoziieren Licht
mit Wärme und suchen deshalb zum Sonnenbaden gezielt diese
Lichtquelle auf. Dabei erhalten sie auf natürliche Weise die für die
Gesundheit erforderliche UV-A und UV-B Strahlung.
•Passt in jede E27 Lampenfassung. Die Verwendung von Hitze-
resistenten Spezial-Fassungen wie z.B. JBL TempSet ist aufgrund
der Wärmeentwicklung erforderlich.

Gesetzlicher Hinweis:
JBL UV-Spot plus 80 W, 100 W, 160 W
sind Speziallampen für die Anwendung in der Reptilienhaltung. Sie sind
für die Allgemeinbeleuchtung im Haushalt ungeeignet aus folgenden
Gründen:
Reptilien benötigen in Ihrem Lebensraum ausreichend UV-B-Licht, um
ihren Vitamin D-Stowechsel zu regulieren. Dies ist für ihre Gesundheit
zwingend erforderlich. Reptilien können UV-A-Strahlung „sehen“ und
suchen deshalb gezielt Lichtquellen auf, die neben sichtbarem Licht auch
UV-A- und damit gekoppelt UV-B-Strahlung und Wärme abgeben. Lam-
pen, die neben Licht auch Energie in Form von UV-A-, UV-B- und Infra-

rotstrahlung abgeben, erfüllen bauartbedingt nicht die Anforderungen
nach der 3. Stufe der Energieeinsparungsverordnung und sind daher für
die Allgemeinbeleuchtung nicht verwendbar.
Anwendung:
JBL UV Spot plus sollte immer so angebracht werden, dass die Tiere
jederzeit die Möglichkeit haben, sich an kühlere Stellen im Terrarium
zurückzuziehen. Ein Mindestabstand von ca. 30 - 40 cm zum Tier sollte
eingehalten werden. Bei Erstanwendung dieses Spots ist eine Gewöh-
nung der Tiere an die Strahlung erforderlich. Wir empfehlen zunächst
mit 30 Minuten Bestrahlungszeit täglich zu beginnen und diese dann im
Laufe von 2 – 3 Wochen je nach Tierart auf bis zu 3 Stunden täglich zu
erhöhen. Falls gewünscht, kann der Spot auch als Ganztagsbeleuchtung
eingesetzt werden (max. 10 Stunden pro Tag). Dabei ist jedoch unbe-
dingt zu beachten, dass den Tieren geeignete Rückzugsmöglichkeiten
zur Verfügung stehen und eine Überhitzung des kompletten Terrariums
vermieden wird. Der Spot benötigt ca. 5 Minuten Aufwärmzeit, bis die
volle Strahlungsleistung erreicht wird.
Wichtiger Hinweis zu Betriebseigenschaften der Lampe:
Dies ist eine sog. Mischlichtlampe, die selbst startet und kein Vorschalt-
gerät benötigt. Sie benötigt beim Einschalten oder nach einer Stromun-
terbrechung einige Zeit für einen Neustart und bis zur vollen Helligkeit.
Ein eingebauter Thermoschalter schaltet die Lampe bei Überhitzung ab.
Nach Abkühlung schaltet die sich die Lampe normalerweise wieder auto-
matisch ein. In seltenen Fällen kann die Lampe erlöschen und sich nicht
wieder selbst einschalten oder ackert nur beim Versuch, sich wieder ein
zu schalten. Schalten Sie in einem solchen Fall die Stromversorgung aus
und lassen die Lampe für 10 - 15 Minuten abkühlen. Die Lampe schaltet
sich dann wieder ein, wenn die Stromversorgung wieder hergestellt wird.
Tritt ein automatisches Abschalten de Lampe auf (Sie treen die Lampe
im ausgeschalteten Zustand an, obwohl die Stromzufuhr eingeschaltet
ist), müssen unbedingt die Einsatzbedingungen überprüft und die Lüf-
tung der Lampe verbessert werden. Dies kann geschehen durch Verset-
zen der Lampe an einen besser gelüfteten Ort im Terrarium oder/und
Reduktion der Einschaltzeit. Eventuell ist auch das Terrarium, in dem die
Lampe installiert ist zu klein. In diesem Fall sollte über alternative Quellen
zur UV-Bestrahlung nachgedacht werden.
Der Spot darf nur in senkrechter Lage installiert werden.
Der Spot darf niemals mit Wasser besprüht werden!
Grundsätzlich sinkt die Abgabe von UV Licht bei UV Strahlern mit zu-
nehmender Betriebszeit. Bei einer Betriebsdauer von 10 Stunden täglich
sollte der UV Spot spätestens nach 6 Monaten ersetzt werden.

garantie von 6 Monaten (bei einer täglichen Betriebsdauer von max.
10 Stunden) ab Kaufdatum.
Die Garantie erstreckt sich auf Materialfehler. Glasbruch und Schäden
durch äußere Einüsse sowie unsachgemäße Behandlung sind von der
Garantie ausgeschlossen.

Legal Notice:
JBL UV-Spot plus 80 W, 100 W, 160 W
are special purpose lamps intended for reptile keeping. They are un-
suitable for household room illumination for the following reasons:
Reptiles require sucient UVB light in their habitat to regulate their
vitamin D metabolism. This is absolutely vital for their health. Reptiles
can“sense”UVA radiation and are attracted to light sources which emit
visible light, UVA, and consequently UVB and warmth. Lamps which,
apart from light, also emit energy in the form of UVA, UVB and infrared
radiation do not meet the construction type requirements of the 3rd
stage of the Energy Saving Regulations, and are therefore not suitable
for the general lighting.

Application:
JBL UV Spot plus should always be positioned in such a way that the
reptiles have the opportunity to retreat to cooler sections of the ter-
rarium at any time. There should be a minimum distance of approx. 30
- 40 cm from the reptiles. When this lamp is used for the rst time, the
reptiles will need to get accustomed to the radiation. We recommend
beginning with 30 minutes of radiation a day and gradually increas-
ing the radiation over a period of 2 – 3 weeks to up to 3 hours a day,
depending on the animal species. If required, the spotlight can also be
used as all-day lighting (max. 10 hours per day). However, it is impe-
rative that the reptiles have suitable areas which they can withdraw
to and that overheating of the entire terrarium be avoided. The lamps
need approx. 5 minutes warm-up time until the full radiation capacity
is reached.
Important note on the operating characteristics of the lamp:
This is a so-called mixed-light lamp that starts on its own and requires
no control gear. When it is switched on or after a power interruption,
it takes some time to start and reach its full brightness. An internal
thermal switch turns the lamp o in the event of overheating. After it
has cooled o, the lamp normally switches on again automatically. In
rare cases, the lamp may switch o and not switch on again on its own
or just immer when you try to switch it on. In that case, switch o the
power supply and let the lamp cool o for 10 - 15 minutes. The lamp
will then switch on when the power supply is restored.
If the lamp switches o automatically (you notice that the lamp is
switched o even though the power supply is switched on), it is im-
perative to check the conditions of use and make sure the lamp has
better ventilation. This may be achieved by moving the lamp to a spot
with better ventilation in the terrarium and/or decreasing the time it is
switched on. The terrarium that the lamp is installed in may also be too
small. In that case, you may wish to consider using a dierent source of
UV radiation.
The spotlight should only be installed in a vertical position.
The spotlight should never be sprayed with water!
The amount of UV light emitted by UV lamps generally decreases as
the service life increases. If the UV Spot is operated for 10 hours a day, it
should be replaced after 6 months at the latest.

Favorise la santé et la vitalité des reptiles en leur assurant de manière e-

Information légale
JBL UV-Spot plus 80 W, 100 W, 160 W
sont des lampes spéciales utilisées dans la maintenance des reptiles. Elles ne
conviennent pas à l’éclairage domestique pour les raisons suivantes :
les reptiles ont besoin de susamment de lumière UV-B dans leur milieu
de vie pour réguler leur métabolisme en vitamine D. Ceci est absolument
indispensable à leur santé. Les reptiles peuvent « voir » les rayons UV-A et
cherchent donc systématiquement des sources de lumière qui émettent, en
plus de la lumière visible, également des UV-A, et qui donc associent cha-
leur et rayonnement UV-B. Les lampes qui en plus de la lumière émettent
également de l’énergie sous forme de rayons UV-A, UV-B et infrarouges

ne répondent pas aux exigences de la 3e période du règlement européen
relatif aux économies d’énergie en raison de leur mode de construction et
ne sont donc pas utilisables pour l’éclairage général.
Utilisation :
Le JBL UV-Spot plus doit toujours être installé de telle sorte que les ani-
maux aient à tout moment la possibilité de se retirer dans des zones plus
fraîches du terrarium. Il convient de respecter une distance minimale de
30 à 40 cm environ entre le spot et les animaux. Le temps d’exposition sera
limité au début à 30 minutes. Après une phase d’accoutumance progres-
sive de 2 à 3 semaines cette durée pourra être augmentée, en fonction des
espèces, jusqu’à 3 heures quotidiennes. Ce spot peut également être utilisé
comme source permanente de lumière du jour. Dans ce cas, il faut impéra-
tivement veiller à ce que les animaux disposent de cachettes appropriées
et éviter une surchaue de l’ensemble du terrarium. La lampe a besoin
d’environ 5 minutes de préchauage avant d’atteindre sa pleine puissance.
Remarque importante concernant le fonctionnement de la lampe :
Il s’agit de que l’on appelle une lampe à lumière mixte ou lampe composée.
Elle s’allume toute seule sans avoir besoin d’un ballast. Au moment de sa mise
sous tension, ou après une coupure de courant, il faut attendre quelques
instants pour qu’elle s’allume à nouveau et atteigne sa pleine puissance. Un
thermorupteur intégré éteint la lampe en cas de surchaue. Lorsque la lampe
a refroidi, elle se rallume normalement automatiquement. Dans certains cas,
après s’être éteinte, la lampe ne se rallume pas ou elle papillonne sans parvenir
à s’allumer correctement. Dans ce cas, débranchez l’alimentation électrique
et laissez refroidir la lampe pendant 10 à 15 minutes. La lampe se rallumera
ensuite lorsque vous aurez rebranché l’alimentation électrique.
Si la lampe s’est éteinte d’elle-même (vous trouvez la lampe éteinte alors
que l’alimentation électrique est branchée), il faut impérativement revoir les
conditions d’utilisation de la lampe et améliorer sa ventilation. Vous pouvez
par exemple la déplacer dans un endroit plus aéré du terrarium et /ou réduire
la durée d’utilisation. Peut-être le terrarium dans lequel la lampe est installée
est-il trop petit. Il convient alors de rééchir à d’autres solutions d’éclairage UV.
Placer impérativement le spot en position verticale.
Ne jamais vaporiser d’eau sur le spot.
L’émission de rayonnement UV diminue au fur et à mesure de l’utilisation du
spot. Lorsque le spot est en fonctionnement 10 heures par jour, il est néces-
saire de le remplacer au plus tard au bout de six mois

Produceert ultraviolette straling + warmte + daglicht voor
alle terraria

•Zorgt voor gezonde en levenskrachtige reptielen dankzij de eec-
tieve verzorging met essentieel UV-A en UV-B licht.

Ultraviolet licht is onmisbaar voor het ontstaan van vitamine D
3
uit
voorstadia die via het voedsel worden opgenomen. Hierdoor is gewaar-
borgd dat de reptielen doelgericht van vitamine D

Wettelijke aanwijzing:
JBL UV-Spot plus 80 W, 100 W, 160 W
zijn speciale lampen voor gebruik bij het houden van reptielen. Om volgende
redenen zijn de lampen niet geschikt voor algemene verlichtingsdoeleinden
in huis:
In hun leefruimte hebben reptielen voldoende UV-B- licht nodig voor het
aanpassen van de vitamine D stofwisseling. Dit is van levensbelang voor hun
gezondheid. Reptielen kunnen UV-A-straling„zien“ en komen daarom doelge-
richt op lichtbronnen af die behalve zichtbaar licht ook UV-A en daaraan ge-
koppeld UV-B-straling en warmte afgeven. Lampen die naast licht ook energie
in de vorm van UV-A, UV-B en infrarode straling afgeven voldoen op grond van
hun ontwerp niet aan de eisen van de 3e fase van de energiespaarverordening
en zijn daarom niet geschikt voor gebruik als algemene verlichting.

Toepassing:
Monteer de JBL UV Spot plus zodanig in het terrarium dat de dieren zich
op ieder moment op een koel plekje terug kunnen trekken, wanneer ze
daar behoefte aan hebben. Zorg dat de afstand tussen de spot en het dier
nooit minder dan 30 à 40 cm bedraagt. Wanneer het terrarium voor het
eerst met een warmtelamp wordt uitgerust, hebben de dieren tijd nodig
om aan de straling te wennen. Wij adviseren daarom om aanvankelijk een
bestralingstijd van 30 minuten per dag aan te houden en deze tijd in de
daarop volgende 2 à 3 weken en afhankelijk van de diersoort geleidelijk
tot maximaal 3 uur per dag te verhogen. Indien gewenst kunt u de lamp
ook de hele dag laten branden (maximaal 10 uur per dag), maar u moet
er dan in ieder geval voor zorgen dat de dieren over geschikte plekken
beschikken, waar ze zich in de koelte kunnen terugtrekken. Bovendien
mag het terrarium in zijn geheel nooit oververhit raken. Na het aanzet-
ten van de lamp duurt het ongeveer 5 minuten voordat het uiteindelijke
stralingsvermogen is bereikt.
Belangrijke informatie over de eigenschappen van de lamp:
Deze zogenoemde menglichtlamp is zelfontbrandend en heeft geen
voorschakelapparaat nodig. Na het aanzetten of na een stroomonderbre-
king heeft de lamp enige tijd nodig om op gang te komen en de volledige
lichtsterkte te bereiken. De ingebouwde thermische schakelaar schakelt
de spot bij oververhitting uit en normaal na afkoeling weer automatisch
in. Het kan echter voorkomen, dat de lamp uitgaat maar zich niet opnieuw
inschakelt of na opnieuw inschakelen akkert en niet normaal begint te
branden. Schakel in dit geval de voedingsspanning uit en laat de lamp
gedurende 10 à 15 minuten geheel afkoelen. Zodra de voedingsspanning
daarna weer wordt ingeschakeld, zal de lamp weer beginnen te branden.
Wanneer de lamp automatisch wordt uitgeschakeld (d.w.z. u constateert
dat de lamp uit is, hoewel de voedingsspanning aan is), moet u in ieder
geval de bedrijfsomstandigheden van de lamp controleren en de beluch-
ting van de lamp verbeteren. Hiertoe kunt u de lamp verplaatsen naar
een beter beluchte plek in het terrarium en/of de lamp korter ingescha-
keld laten. Het is mogelijk dat het terrarium, waarin de lamp is geïnstal-
leerd, te klein is. In dit gevoel zou eens over alternatieve bronnen van
ultraviolette straling nagedacht moeten worden.
De spot mag alleen verticaal worden gemonteerd. De spot mag onder
geen enkele omstandigheid met water worden besproeid!
Algemeen geldt dat de lichtopbrengst van UV spots met toenemende
gebruiksduur afneemt. Bij een gebruiksduur van 10 uur per dag moet de
UV spot maximaal na 6 maanden worden vervangen.

Garantie
De eindafnemer van deze JBL UV spot geven wij een werkingsgaran-
tie van 6 maanden (bij een dagelijkse gebruiksduur van maximaal 10
uur) vanaf de datum van aankoop.
De garantie wordt gegeven tegen gebreken als gevolg van materiaal-
of fabricagefouten. Glasbreuk en schade ten gevolge van invloeden
van buitenaf, onzorgvuldige behandeling of ondoelmatig gebruik zijn
van deze garantie uitgesloten.
Verdergaande garantieclaims bestaan niet; met name wordt, voor
zover wettelijk toegestaan, iedere aansprakelijkheid afgewezen
voor schade die als gevolg van deze UV spot zou zijn ontstaan.
Indien u aanspraak wilt maken op onze garantie, wend u dan met de
spot en het geldige bewijs van aankoop (kassabon) tot uw dieren-
speciaalzaak of stuur de spot met het geldige bewijs van aankoop
(kassabon) port- en vrachtvrij naar ons op.*

Fornisce raggi UV + calore + luce diurna per tutti i terrari

•
Provvede alla salute e alla vitalità dei rettili, fornendo un eettivo
apporto di luce UV-A e UV-B, di vitale importanza per questi animali.
• La luce UV è necessaria per la formazione della vitamina D3dalle
provitamine, assunte con l’alimentazione. In questo modo è assicu-
rata ai rettili una naturale e diretta disponibilità di vitamina D3.
•Fornisce contemporaneamente calore e luce. I rettili associano
la luce con il calore e di conseguenza cercheranno di proposito
questa sorgente luminosa per un bagno di sole. In questo modo
riceveranno, in via del tutto naturale, le radiazioni UV-A e UV-B,
necessarie per la loro buona salute.
•Collegabile ad ogni portalampada E27. A causa della produzione
di calore si rende necessario l’utilizzo di un portalampada speciale
resistente al calore come per es. JBL TempSet.
•Non produce radiazioni UV-C, nocive alla salute.
•Autoaccensione senza ballast.
•Con termoprotezione incorporata contro il surriscaldamento.
• Non utilizzare la lampada con un varialuce!
Avviso legale:
I JBL UV-Spot plus 80 W, 100 W, 160 W sono lampade speciali da utiliz-
zare nella cura dei rettili. Non sono adatte per l’illuminazione residenziale
per i seguenti motivi:
I rettili abbisognano di suciente luce UV-B nel loro habitat per poter
regolare il loro metabolismo di vitamina D. Questo è assolutamente ne-
cessario per la loro salute. I rettili sono in grado di ‘vedere’ i raggi UV-A e
si recano quindi miratamente verso fonti luminose che irradiano, oltre alla
luce visibile, anche l’UV-A, la radiazione UV-B ed il calore. Queste lampade
sono appositamente costruite per emettere oltre alla luce tutta una serie di
raggi infrarossi ed ultravioletti e non rispettano quindi i requisiti del rego-
lamento sul risparmio energetico richiesti per l’illuminazione residenziale.

Modo di utilizzazione:
Lo JBL UV Spot plus si dovrebbe sempre installare in modo che gli
animali abbiano in qualsiasi momento la possibilità di ritirarsi nelle parti
più fresche del terrario. La distanza minima da tenere tra l’animale e la
lampada è di circa 30 - 40 cm. Nel caso di primo utilizzo della lampada è
necessario lasciare agli animali il tempo di abituarsi ai raggi. Noi racco-
mandiamo pertanto di iniziare con 30 minuti di radiazione al giorno, da
aumentare poi nel corso di 2 - 3 settimane no a 3 ore giornaliere, a se-
conda del tipo di animale. Se desiderato, la lampada può essere utilizzata
anche come sistema sso di illuminazione giornaliera (con un massimo di
10 ore al giorno). In questo caso però è assolutamente necessario assi-
curarsi che gli animali abbiano a disposizione adeguati spazi in cui ripa-
rarsi, e che venga evitato un surriscaldamento del completo terrario. La
lampada necessita di circa 5 minuti di riscaldamento prima di raggiungere
la massima ecienza.
Indicazioni sulle caratteristiche funzionali della lampada:
La lampada è ad autoaccensione e non necessita di un ballast. Appena la si
accende o dopo un’interruzione di corrente ha bisogno di un po’ di tempo
per raggiungere la piena luminosità o per riaccendersi.
Un interruttore termico interno spegne lo spot in caso di surriscaldamento
e lo riaccende automaticamente dopo il tempo necessario al rareddamen-
to. In casi rari la lampada si può spegnere senza riaccendersi o sfarfalla nel
tentativo di riaccendersi. In questo caso togliete l’alimentazione e lasciate
rareddare la lampada per 10 - 15 minuti. La lampada si accenderà automa-
ticamente quando l’alimentazione verrà riattivata.
Se si verica uno spegnimento automatico della lampada (la lampada si
presenta spenta, benché collegata all’alimentazione), vanno assolutamente
controllate le condizioni di applicazione e l’aerazione della lampada va mi-
gliorata. Ciò si ottiene mettendo la lampada in un punto del ternario dove
vi è una migliore aerazione e/o tramite riduzione del tempo di attività. Può
anche essere che il terrario sia troppo piccolo per questo tipo di lampada.
In questo caso si deve riettere su alternative fonti di illuminazione UV.
Lo spot va installato solamente in posizione verticale.
Lo spot non deve mai essere spruzzato con acqua!
In genere, l’erogazione di luce UV nelle lampade UV diminuisce nel corso
del periodo di funzione. Se la lampada rimane accesa per 10 ore al giorno
la si deve sostituire al più tardi dopo 6 mesi.
