Important safety instructions
Disconnect the power supply whenever you proceed to the installation or repair
of the equipment.
In compliance with the European Low Voltage Directive, we inform you of the following requirements:
•When the devices remain permanently connected, an easily accessible connecting device must be incorporated into the wiring.
•This system must only be installed by qualified professionals that have with automated garage doors and knowledge of the rel-
evant European standards.
•The user instructions for this device must always be in the user’s possession.
•The operating frequency of the receiver does not interfere in any way with the 868 MHz remote control systems.
Use of the equipment
This device is designed for applications with an automated garage door. It is not guaranteed for the direct activation of devices
other than those specified. The manufacturer reserves the right to change the device specifications without warning.

Introduction
General description
LINK is a connectivity module which allows a BASE500 receiver already installed to be updated in real time.
It is a plug-in electronic card which, via the WIFI network of a router with internet access, connects to CloudAssistant and
provides remote access to the receiver’s memory.
If it has been acquired as part of an M2M kit, the LINK module comes from the factory pre-linked with the Router delivered,
thus simplifying the internet connection settings.

Settings/start-up
If you have acquired the LINK module as part of an M2M kit, the module
comes from the factory prelinked to the Router. DO NOT ALTER THE WIFI
PARAMETERS.
WIFI
To communicate with Cloud Assistant, the LINK module has to be connected
to a WIFI Router with internet access by WPS (only compatible routers) or
manually.
WIFI: WPS
To set up your device via WIFI with WPS follow these steps:
1. Put your router into WPS mode (consult the manual of your router)
2. Press the WPS button of the
LINK device (for less than 2
seconds).
The LINK module indicates that it
is in WPS mode through the state
of the LED indicators
(indicators: ST fix green, NW blink-
ing green & IN off)
3. The linking process starts auto-
matically and ends when all 3
LEDS show steady green.

WIFI: manual setting
By default, the LINK device starts up inWIFI SETTINGS mode after power is connected. (indicators: ST blinking green, NW
blinking red & IN off) .
If WIFI SETTINGS mode does not start after power is switched on, it needs to be reset ("Settings/start-up->WIFI: reset").
From the computer, tablet, smartphone or similar:
1. Connect to the "LINK_XXXXXXXXXX" WIFI network generated by the module.
2. After starting a session in WIFI, a web browser will appear. If not, type 192.168.4.1 into your
Chrome browser bar to open the settings page manually.
3. From the list of WIFI networks available, select the
WIFI network you want to use to connect to Cloud Assistant.
(A Good or Poor signal quality is required
for the right function of the device).

4. Put in the password for the WIFI net-
work and select SAVE
5. The LINK device exits WIFI SETTINGS
mode (see LED indicators)
WIFI: reset
To reset the LINK device follow these steps:
1. Press the WPS/reset button for
more than 10 seconds.
2. The LINK device indicates that it
goes into WIFI SETTINGS mode
through the LED indicators (see
table in section "Verification") to indic-
ate that the WIFI reset has finished.

Activation in Cloud Assistant
The first time you want to manage your installation through Cloud Assistant you will need to activate the LINK device through
the "Activation Key". This key is found on the label on the back of your equipment.
This activation will not be needed for subsequent use.

Updating firmware
To update the firmware of your LINK device follow these steps:
1. Find the updating jumper (see page 4) and make a
bridge on its terminals.
2. The ST, NW and IN LEDS begin to blink in green
(10 s, approx.).
3. Stop bridging the jumper and wait until the three
LEDS show a steady green light. The updating pro-
cess has been successfully completed.
A good internet connection is needed to update the firmware of the equip-
ment.

Solving problems
Frequent questions
Q: I have plugged the LINK module in and, when I switch on, the receiver gives an uninterrupted whistle. What’s wrong?
A: Check that you have correctly connected both the MEM500 memory to the LINK module and the LINK to the BASE500
receiver, and that the LINK has power.
Q: How do you know if the LINK module has power?
A: When the luminous ST indicator is on.
Q: If I have a BASE500 receiver installed, simply by plugging it in, will a LINK work to a remote?
A: No, it also has to be connected to CloudAssistant (NW and IN indicators on). If not, check with the table of recommended
actions in the Verification section.
Q: How do I register the module in CloudAssistant?
A: You need to put the ACTIVATION KEY from the label on the receiver properties into CloudAssistant. The QR code which
appears beside it will help you to read it.
Q: Can it be managed with SoftAssistant? How do you record the codes?
A: No, the LINK module is only available in CloudAssistant. The codes are recorded with the module plugged in to the
BASE500 receiver and provided that it has connectivity (NW and IN indicators on).
Q: How do you register the codes manually?
A: The LINK module blocks access to the manual programming button, so that managing the codes has to be done from
CloudAssistant.
Q: Can the equipment be blocked so that no one can delete and/or programme more controls?
A: Yes, recording the memory from CloudAssistant, first marking the options of “Prohibit programming by radio” and “Prohibit
manual programming” on the Application / Settings menu.
Q: Can the settings of my equipment be read from any CloudAssistant?
A: To prevent that, there are client code and password protections.
Q: How many codes can be memorised in the LINK module?
A: The LINK module supports 500 codes. If you are interested in enlarging for an extra 500 codes, get in touch with us.
