1. INTRODUCTION
OVERVIEW
This manual is an integral and fundamental part of the pedelec (electrically power assisted cycle
(EPAC).
Before using the bike for the first time, it is essential that users read, understand and strictly
observe the requirements outlined below.
The Company shall not be liable for any damages caused and is in no way responsible for damages
caused to property or persons when:
• the product is used incorrectly or in a manner that does not comply with the instruction
manual;
• after purchase, the product is modified or tampered with in all or some of its components.
In the interest of technological development, the manufacturer reserves the right to modify the
product in question without prior notice and without automatically updating this manual.

2. WARNING FOR USE AND SAFETY
GENERAL SAFETY RULES
Even if you are already familiar with the use of an electrically power assisted cycle, the
instructions given below must be followed and the general guidelines for operating a motorised
vehicle must also be observed.
It is important to dedicate the time required to learn the basics of using the product in order to
avoid any serious accident that may occur in the early stages of use, taking care to consult, learn
and examine in depth the relevant information regarding description, instructions for mounting
and usage, safety warnings, maintenance and service of the main installed components also by
referring to the sites of the specific manufacturers indicated in this manual and/or by contacting
your dealer to receive adequate support about the correct methods of using the product or to be
referred to an appropriate training organisation.
The Company assumes no direct or indirect responsibility arising from misuse of the bike, failure
to comply with both the highway code and the instructions in the manual, accidents or disputes
caused by failure to comply with regulations or illegal actions.
This product must be used for recreational purposes. It cannot be used by more than one person
at a time and must not be used to transport passengers.
Do not modify the intended use of the vehicle in any way. The item is not suitable for stunts,
competitions, transporting objects, towing other vehicles or trailers.
The A-weighted emission sound pressure level at the rider’s ear is less than 70 dB(A).
If, during assembly and commissioning, you should encounter factory defects, unclear steps or find
it difficult to assemble some parts, do not ride the electrically power assisted cycle and contact
your authorised dealer’s Service Centre or visit the website

Information regarding frequencies
The operating frequency band of the Bluetooth®device is between 2.4000 GHz and 2.4835 GHz.
The maximum radio frequency power transmitted in the frequency bands is 100mW.

LIABILITY AND GENERAL INFORMATION ON RIDING
The rider is required to use the electrically power assisted cycle with utmost diligence and in full
compliance with the road regulations and all cycling rules in force in the country of use.
This electrically power assisted cycle (EPAC) has been designed and built to be used in off-road
contexts. Its use on public roads and cycle paths is subject to the relative endowment and fitting of
all the devices envisaged by the traffic code and local traffic regulations in force regarding cycling.
It is important to bear in mind that when using the electrically power assisted cycle, even
following this manual to the letter, you are not unencumbered from injury caused by violations
or inappropriate actions taken towards other vehicles, obstacles or people. Misuse of the item or
non-compliance with the instructions provided in this manual may cause severe injury.
The rider must keep the product clean and in a perfect state of efficiency and maintenance,
diligently perform the safety checks he/she is responsible for, as well as keep all the documents
regarding the maintenance of the product.
Riders must carefully assess any weather conditions which could make it potentially dangerous to
use the electrically power assisted cycle.
This product is a vehicle, therefore, the faster is it goes, the longer the braking distance required.
In this regard, it is recommended to moderate the speed and to maintain an adequate braking
distance in the event of adverse weather conditions, in the event of intense traffic or when
traveling on uneven and bumpy road surfaces (irregular road surfaces with potholes, depressions
and obstacles).
The braking distance increases on wet, slippery, muddy or icy roads and the tyre grip decreases
significantly with the risk of the wheels skidding and loss of balance compared to dry roads.
It is, therefore, essential to ride the bike with greater care, maintain a suitable speed and safety
distance from other vehicles or pedestrians.
Take extra care when riding on unfamiliar roads.
For your own safety, it is recommended to wear suitable protective equipment (helmet, knee pads,
elbow pads, suitable shoes) to protect yourself from falls and injuries while riding the product.
When you lend the product, make the rider wear safety devices and explain how to use the vehicle;
do not lend the product to people who do not know how to use it.
The product has been designed to allow the load of a maximum total weight (rider and any load
transported) not exceeding 120 kg.
Avoid using the product, under all circumstances, if the total load transported exceeds the
recommended weight to avoid the risk of damaging the integrity of the structural and electronic
components of the bike.
The electrically power assisted cycle (EPAC), as specified in the provisions of the current reference
standard EN 15194, is a means of transport intended to transport one person only.
The transport of a passenger is only permitted within the framework of the regulations in force
in the country where it is ridden regarding: the minimum age of the rider, maximum age of the
passenger transported, provision of legally approved and authorised passenger transport devices.
It is the user’s responsibility to ascertain the suitability of the equipment devices of the product
used for transporting passenger in terms of construction features, safety systems, anchoring
systems and their installation and assembly on the electrically power assisted cycle in accordance
with the provisions of the structure of the same and within the foreseen load limits.
The user is also responsible for the supply and installation of equipment devices of the product
used for objects and animals transportation in compliance with what is legally approved and
authorized in the country of circulation and with what is foreseen by the structure of the same and
within the load expected limits.

Warnings for users
• The electrically power assisted cycle can only be used by adults and skilled teenagers.
• Do not take alcohol or drugs before riding the electrically power assisted cycle.
• Do not solicit higher performance characteristics of the electrically power assisted cycle with
respect to those for which it has been designed.
• Never ride the electrically power assisted cycle with any of its parts disassembled.
• Ride with both hands on the handlebars.
• Before use, replace any worn and/or damaged parts and check that the safety devices are
working properly.
• Keep children away from plastic items (including packaging materials) and small parts that
may result in suffocation.
• Supervise children to make sure they do not play with the product.
• Remove any sharp edges caused by misuse, breakage or damage to the item.
• Pay particular attention when riding the bike near pedestrians and make sure you slow down
and signal your presence to avoid frightening them when arriving from behind.
• Assemble the item correctly.
HOW TO USE
Jeep®JAT is an electrically power assisted cycle designed and built for use in off-road contexts,
suitable for riding on technical nature trails and in the presence of slopes.
The electrically power assisted cycle is a bicycle fitted with an auxiliary electric motor that is
activated only when the pedals are turned.
Therefore, the motor does not replace the work performed by the rider’s leg muscles, but assists
them to prevent excessive strain by activating according to the operating modes of the electrical
and electronic components supplied with the product, i.e. the battery, handlebars controls,
sensors and control electronics.
In detail, the electronic engine is battery-powered and controlled by a control unit which manages
the power output and the additional thrust to be provided to the muscular contribution originating
from the pedalling of the rider based on the reading of values provided in real time by a series of
sensors and according to the management parameters entered by the user through the controls
on the handlebars.
The electric motor supplied with the electrically power assisted cycle, in compliance with the
provisions of the European Directive 2002/24/CE, as well as being activated exclusively with
support purpose of the muscular pedalling function provided by the user and in a directly
proportional manner to the force applied by the same, it will deactivate when a speed of 25 km/h is
reached.
The installation of accessories and equipment on the bike, not only affect the performance of the
bike and how it is used, but can also cause damage if they are unsuitable, thus compromising
correct operation and safety conditions during use.
For information on the supply and installation of equipment deemed suitable for the bike, please
contact your authorised dealer or specialised operators.

Any changes to its construction may compromise the behaviour, safety and stability of the
electrically power assisted cycle and may cause an accident.
Any other types of use, or any extensions of use beyond the one intended, do not correspond to the
intended use attributed by the manufacturer and the latter, therefore, disclaims all liability for any
resulting damage.
The autonomy of the battery supplied with the electrically power assisted cycle and, therefore, the
relevant distance data estimated in km, may vary significantly depending on the specific mode of
use (total load transported, how hard the rider pedals the bike, level of electric pedal assistance
detected, how often the rider departs and restarts), the mechanical and electrical conditions of the
product (tyre pressure and wear, battery efficiency level) and external influences (slopes and road
surface, atmospheric conditions).
Before each use, carefully check that the brakes are working correctly and are not worn; check the
tyre pressure, the wear of the wheels and battery charge status.
Regularly check that the tightness of the various elements secured by bolts. The nuts and all
the other self-tightening parts can become loose so, these components need to be periodically
checked and tightened.
Like all mechanical components, the item is subject to wear and tear. Different materials
and components may react to wear or stress fatigue in a variety of ways. If the useful life of a
component is exceeded, it could break unexpectedly and injure the user. Any cracks, scratches or
changes in colour in areas subject to high levels of stress indicate that the life of the component
has been reached and must be replaced.
Place of use
• The electrically power assisted cycle can be used outdoors providing there are no adverse
weather conditions (rain, hail, snow, strong wind, etc.).
• Maximum permissible temperature: +40°C
• Minimum permissible temperature: +0°C
• Maximum permissible humidity: 80%

The actions described below, which obviously cannot cover the entire range of potential
possibilities of “poor use” of the electrically power assisted cycle, are to be considered strictly
prohibited.
• Use the electrically power assisted cycle for uses other than the ones for which it has been
manufactured.
• Ride the electrically power assisted cycle if the rider’s weight exceeds the permitted limit.
• Use the electrically power assisted cycle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Use the electrically power assisted cycle in areas at a risk of fire, explosions or in places with
a corrosive and/or chemically active atmosphere.
• Use the electrically power assisted cycle in adverse weather conditions (heavy rain, hail,
snow, strong wind, etc.).
• Use the electrically power assisted cycle in poorly lit areas.
• Modify the frame or the bike in any way and/or smooth, drill or remove parts of the bike.
• Install incompatible components and/or accessories to avoid compromising the integrity and
robustness of the product.
• Charge the battery in an environment that is either too hot or insufficiently ventilated.
• Cover the battery while its charging.
• Smoke or use open flames near the charging area.
• Perform any type of maintenance work with the battery connected.
• Insert limbs or fingers between the moving parts of the bike.
• Touch the brakes immediately after use due to high temperatures.
• Allow the electric and electronic components of the electrically power assisted cycle to come
into contact with water or other liquids.
• Modify or change the bike and its mechanical and electronic parts in any way to avoid the risk
of structural damage, compromising efficiency and causing damage.

4. INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY
UNBOXING
Carefully remove the bike from its packaging and remove the protective material taking care not
to damage the relevant aesthetic parts or force the cables and pre-assembled components. The
packaging removal and subsequent positioning of the bike on the ground must be performed by
two adults to guarantee the integrity of the product and avoid the risk of incurring injuries.
The internal packaging materials of the product are not suitable to support the bike after it has
been removed from its packaging; use only support equipment suitable to guarantee the stability
of the bike during the assembly and adjustment activity necessary for the relative commissioning
(e.g.: kickstands and/or bike supports).
It is recommended to store the external packaging and the internal packaging materials of the
product for any future transportation and/or shipping needs.
For information on the supply and installation of equipment deemed suitable for the bike, please
contact your authorised dealer or specialised operators.
Battery key set
The product is exclusively equipped with 2 keys uniquely associated with the lock on the bicycle
frame to lock and/or unlock it to remove the battery.
Keep the keys in a safe place, taking care not to lose them as it would then not be possible to
remove the battery from the frame.
Do not use the product while keeping the key inserted in the lock on the frame in order to avoid the
risk of theft or accidental damage caused by any shocks.

If, during assembly and commissioning, you should encounter factory defects, unclear steps or find
it difficult to assemble some parts, do not ride the electrically power assisted cycle and contact your

springs (those with the smallest diameter) in the
direction of the wheel.
FRONT WHEEL INSTALLATION
Rotate the fork until it is positioned in front of the frame and, after removing the front brake
caliper pad spacer, insert the front wheel into the dedicated fork housings (dropouts) and tighten
using the special quick-release device that can be found in the accessory box supplied with the
product.
Do not operate the front brake lever (located on the left side of the handlebars) with the front
wheel not installed and the front brake caliper pad spacer missing.
Insert the pin with its conical spring inside the hub, leaving the lever on the left side of the bike (on
the brake disc side); insert the second conical spring and locking nut into the pin coming out of the
hub on the opposite side, screwing it in until it stops against the dropout.
Close the lever towards the fork to complete the tightening operation by verifying that the lever
has adequate resistance during the closing phase (such as to leave a mark on the palm of
the hand used to tighten the lever, so-called "imprint on palm") and, after closing, requires a
considerable force to be exerted to allow relative opening.

HANDLEBAR INSTALLATION
Check that the handlebar stem is positioned frontally and aligned with the front wheel and the
horizontal tube of the bicycle frame (fig.A).
Using a wrench with a 4 mm hexagonal Allen insert, gradually and alternately loosen the four
fixing screws of the front panel on the end of the handlebars stem by turning them anticlockwise
until they can be removed (fig.B).
Place the handlebars centrally in the dedicated housing on the handlebars stem body (fig.C)
and position the previously removed handlebars stem front panel in its original seat, inserting
and tightening lightly (turning clockwise) and alternately the fastening screws to set the desired
handlebars positioning.
Complete the installation of the handlebars by tightening the screws in the sequence indicated
until they are fully tightened (fig.D).

DROPPER SEATPOST ADJUSTMENT
Before adjusting the saddle height, completely extend the dropper seatpost proceed as follows:
• place your right thumb on the dropper seatpost control lever (fig.E) and your left hand on the
saddle (fig.F);
• press the dropper seatpost remote control lever while using your left hand to control the
upward motion of the saddle up to the complete extension of the seat post.
Loosen the quick-clamping seat post clamping mechanism (quick-release seat post collar),
which secures the seat post to the frame's seat tube, allowing the seat post to be pulled out and/
or inserted until the desired saddle height has been achieved, taking care to make sure that the
saddle is aligned with the centre line of the bike frame.
Complete the operation by tightening the seat post collar to ensure that the seat post is secured to
the frame's seat tube.
Minimum seat post insertion limit
It is strictly forbidden to pull the seat post out of the frame’s seat tube beyond the minimum
insertion level indicated on the seat post itself, to avoid the risk of causing structural damage to
the bike (frame and/or seat post) and serious injuries.
The seat post is deemed to be correctly and safely positioned inside the seat tube of the frame by
inserting it so that no markings and/or graphic indication of the minimum insertion limit can be
seen; see:

INSTALLING THE PEDALS
Locate the right pedal (marked with the letter R) and left pedal (marked with the letter L).
Install the right pedal (R) by inserting the threaded pin of the pedal into the corresponding crank
arm on the right side of the bike and screwing it clockwise (turn it towards the front wheel) until it
is tightened using a 15mm fixed wrench.
Install the left pedal (L) by inserting the threaded pin of the pedal into the corresponding crank
arm on the left side of the bike and screwing it anticlockwise (turn it towards the front wheel) until
it is tightened using a 15mm fixed wrench.
Regularly inspect and check the correct tightening of the various bolted parts, fixing screws,
quick-clamping mechanisms (quick-release) and through-axles, and also perform a general check
to make sure that all parts are as expected.
The nuts and all the other self-tightening parts can become loose so, these components need to
be periodically checked and tightened.
The values of the recommended tightening torques for fastening the specific components present
on the product can be identified in correspondence with the relative elements.
A correct tightening torque (screws, bolts, nuts) is essential for safety. If not enough force is
applied, the seal is not ensured. An excessive force can damage the threads or cause elongation,
deformation or breakage of the fixing device. In both cases, a wrong tightening torque can cause
losses of control and falls.
Where indicated, check that every screw is tightened to the specified torque.
After the first use, and then in a regular manner, recheck the tightening of each screw in order to
ensure a safe fixing of components.

The verification of the correct tightening of the components using lever systems (quick-clamping
mechanisms), adjusted by acting on the tightening nut and not on the locking lever of the
mechanism, in the absence of technically precise indications of the relative values, can be done
by testing that the relative component being clamped is not mobile and/or unstable if subjected
to a strong attempt to remove and/or pull it out, and by checking that the clamping lever provides
adequate resistance when it is being closed (such as to leave a mark on the palm of your hand, the
so-called “imprint on palm)” and, after closing, requires significant strength to open it.
The possibility of moving the locking lever of the mechanism by exerting minimal manual pressure
indicates an insufficient locking condition requiring further tightening of the adjustment nut.
5. LCD DISPLAY
The electrically power assisted cycle is equipped with a control device located on the handlebars,
an LCD display, powered by the battery supplied with the product, which allows the user to check
the data and manage all the product's electrical and electronic functions.

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS
On/Off
Press the On/Off key for at least 2 seconds to switch on the LCD display and enable system
activation.
Press the On/Off key for at least 2 seconds to switch off the LCD display and deactivate the system.
Pedal Assist Level Selection
Briefly press + or - to increase or decrease the level of pedal assist provided by the drive unit.
There are between 1 and 5 selectable levels of pedal assist.
Selecting level 1 sets the mode for minimum electrical pedal assist provided by the drive unit.
Selecting level 5 sets the mode for maximum electrical pedal assist provided by the drive unit.
Pressing the - key until 0 is selected disables the activation of the electrical pedal assist.
Walk Assist Activation
After disabling the electrical pedal assist provided by the drive unit by pressing the - key until 0 is
selected, briefly press the - key until the WALK symbol appears on the display.
Press and hold the - key to activate the walk assist function, indicated by the intermittent presence

Deactivate the function by releasing the - key.
The walk assist function must be used in compliance with the regulations in force in the country
where the product is used, and can only be used when walking alongside the electrically power
assisted cycle, keeping a proper distance from the rotating pedal and crank arm, and holding the
handlebar knobs firmly and with both hands.
CAUTION
It is strictly prohibited to enable the walk assist mode when you are sitting on the saddle of
the electrically power assisted cycle to avoid the danger of injury and the risk of damaging the
electrical components of the bike.
