Close the cargo carrier. Pull up on the lid at the front
of the carrier to be sure the hinge tabs are engaged.
Set cross rails at 22” on center. (See Note)
Engage the bale latch at the front of the carrier. This
latch stays in the closed position going forward. Once
latched, secure with a clip hook.
Note: Cross rails on some vehicles are not adjustable
and may require additional holes drilled into the
bottom of the cargo carrier to match the fixed position
width. If this is the case, attach the cargo carrier to the
rear cross rails first, using the pre-drilled holes. Then drill
holes in the front of the cargo carrier using the mounting
back plate (#4) as a template for the hole positions
Carefully place the assembled cargo carrier on the
top of roof rack cross rails and center on vehicle.
Check for clearance of rear hatch and antennas.
Be sure to align the mounting holes in the box bottom
on each side of the cross rails.
