POWER CONNECTION
1. Plug he cord of he power adap or in o he DC IN JACK (#25) loca ed on he back of he
uni .
2. Plug he power adap or in o a household wall socke . The uni is powered up and in
s andby mode when you see he display urn on and begin flashing.
Battery Back-up y tem
•
The uni is equipped wi h a ba ery back-up sys em ha will save your clock se ings
in case of a power ou age. I requires 2 x ‘AAA’ (UM-4) ba eries (No included).

Open he ba ery door on he bo om of he uni . Inser he ba eries in o he
BACK UP BATTERY COMPARTMENT (#28) and make sure he posi ive and
nega ive (+ or -) sides of he ba eries are in con ac wi h he corresponding erminals
in he BACK UP BATTERY COMPARTMENT (#28). Replace he ba ery door.
•
The clock display will no opera e during a power ou age.
•
If a power ou age occurs; he display will urn off and he uni will swi ch o he ba ery
back-up ha will save your clock se ings.
•
Once power is res ored, he display will ligh up flash o aler you ha a power ou age
occurred. The flashing display happens whe her ba eries are ins alled or no .
•
When replacing he ba ery, do no disconnec he power adap or. If you unplug he
power adap or and hen ake ou he ba ery, all clock and alarm se ings will be los .
Note:

BATTERY NOTE AND CARE
- Ba eries shall no exposed o excessive hea such as sunshine, fire or he like.
- Be sure ha all ba eries are ins alled correc ly. Wrong polari y may damage he uni .
- Do no mix old and new ba eries.
- Do no mix alkaline, s andard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) ba eries.
- Only ba eries of he same or equivalen ype as recommend are o be used.
- If he uni is no be used for an ex ended period of ime, remove all ba eries. Old or
leaking ba ery can cause damage o he uni and may void he warran y.
- Do no dispose ba eries in fire. Ba eries may leak or explode.
- Danger of explosion if ba ery is incorrec ly replaced.
STANDBY MODE
S andby Mode is when he uni is firs plugged in o an AC power source (display flashing), or
af er all he se ings have been made and he ime is showing on he display. The radio, CD
player and Aux-in modes are all off, no bu ons are pressed and no alarms are sounding.
SETTING THE CLOCK
The LED DISPLAY (#18) will flash when he uni is plugged in for he firs ime. The uni is
now in s andby mode.
Setting the Time:
1. In s andby mode, ap he TIME BUTTON (#3), he hour digi s of
he clock display begin o flash.
2. Repea edly ap he

reverse/advance se ing. Make sure he correc AM or PM ime

Note:
The PM INDICATOR (#9) is loca ed in he righ par of he LED DISPLAY (#18).
The PM INDICATOR (#19) will ligh when he hour digi s selec ed are for PM ime. The
PM INDICATOR (#19) will be off when he hour digi s selec ed are for AM ime.
3. Tap he TIME BUTTON (#3) o confirm he ime and he minu e
digi s will flash.

ALARM OPERATION
The uni fea ures a dual alarm clock.
Setting the alarm :
1. In s andby mode, press and hold he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#1), The ALARM 1 INDICATOR
(#s15) and he wake up op ion will flash on he LED DISPLAY (#18) o promp for inpu .
2. Tap he
BUTTON (#13) or BUTTON (#12) o selec he wake up op ion (Cd-CD,
bb-ALARM, une-FM RADIO).
3. Tap he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#1) o confirm he selec ed wake up op ion. The hour digi s
of he clock display begin o flash.
No e: The frequency show on he LED DISPLAY (#18) when wake o une-FM RADIO is
selec ed. Tap he
BUTTON (#13) or BUTTON (#12) o selec he prese frequency.
4. Tap he
BUTTON (#13) or BUTTON (#12) o se he hour.
Press and hold he bu ons for fas advance/reverse se ing.

5. Tap he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#1) o confirm he hour se ing.

(#2) in place of he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#1)

Wake to mu ic from CD – Turning the wake to CD on:
The CD will au oma ically urn on when he alarm ime is reached. The corresponding
ALARM 1 INDICATOR (#15) or ALARM 2 INDICATOR (#16) will flash.
The uni will s ar playing he CD when he wake ime is reached, so make sure he CD is
inser ed and can be properly played, o herwise he uni will defaul o he alarm sound
au oma ically.
Press he SNOOZE BUTTON (#7) o emporarily urn off he CD player, or POWER
BUTTON (#6) o urn he alarm off.
If no bu ons are pressed when he radio is playing, i will con inue playing for 60 minu es and
hen urn off au oma ically.
Waking to Alarm - Turning wake to ALARM on:
•
A beeping Alarm will au oma ically urn on when he alarm ime is reached. The
corresponding ALARM 1 INDICATOR (#15) or ALARM 2 INDICATOR (#16) will flash.
•
Press he SNOOZE BUTTON (#7) o emporarily urn off he alarm, or POWER
BUTTON (#6) o urn he alarm off.

Wake to Radio - Turning the wake to RADIO on:
The Radio will au oma ically urn on when he alarm ime is reached. The corresponding
ALARM 1 INDICATOR (#15) or ALARM 2 INDICATOR (#16) will flash.
The uni will urn on o he FM radio s a ion you selec ed o when he wake ime is reached,
so make sure he s a ion is se o he one you wan o wake up o.
Press he SNOOZE BUTTON (#7) o emporarily urn off he radio, or press POWER
BUTTON (#6) o urn he alarm off.
If no bu ons are pressed when he radio is playing, i will con inue playing for 60 minu es and
hen urn off au oma ically.
Review the Alarm etting :
1. In s andby mode, press and hold he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#1), The ALARM 1 INDICATOR
(#15) and he wake up op ion will flash.

selec ed.

5. Tap he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#1) again re urn o s andby mode.
6. Review he ALARM 2 se ing uses he same s eps above, bu using he ALARM 2
BUTTON (#2) in place of he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#1).
Turning the alarm ON and OFF:
1. In S andby mode, ap he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#1) o urn on Alarm 1. The ALARM 1
INDICATOR (#15) on he LED DISPLAY (#18) will urn on. The alarm ime and hen he
wake up op ion will show on he display.
2. Tap he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#1) again o urn off he Alarm 1. The ALARM 1 INDICATOR
(#15) will be urned off.
3. Turning Alarm 2 on/off will uses he same s eps above, bu using he ALARM 2 BUTTON
(#2) in place of he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#1).
SNOOZE FUNCTION
When he alarm sounds, ap he SNOOZE BUTTON (#7) o emporarily urn off he alarm and
ac iva e he snooze func ion. The alarm will s op and urn on again 9 minu es la er. This can
be repea ed when he alarm sounds again wi hin 60 minu es.

The corresponding ALARM 1 INDICATOR (#15) or ALARM 2 INDICATOR (#16) will flash
during he snooze period.
•
To cancel he snooze period and he alarm, press he POWER BUTTON (6).

RADIO OPERATION
Li tening to the radio:
1. Tap he POWER BUTTON (#6) o urn he uni on.
2. If you repea edly ap he FUNCTION BUTTON (#6), you will s ep hrough he differen
modes available: CD -> Radio -> AUX
3. Tap he FUNCTION BUTTON (#6) repea edly o selec radio mode.
4. The radio frequency will show on he LED display (#18).

s ops on 88.9 MHz ins ead of 88.8 MHz, use he manual uning me hod o “fine une” o
he exac frequency of he desired s a ion.
TIPS FOR BEST RADIO RECEPTION
If radio recep ion is weak, fully ex end he FM ANTENNA (#27) and vary he posi ion and
loca ion of he an enna un il you find he s ronges signal.
To et / recall the radio pre et :
The uni allows you o s ore up o 20 radio s a ions for easy recall a any ime.
1. Tap he POWER BUTTON (#6) o urn he uni on
2. Tap he FUNCTION BUTTON (#6) repea edly o selec radio mode.
3. Tune o he desired radio s a ion by “MANUAL” or “AUTO” uning me hod.
4. Tap he PROGRAM BUTTON (#11) o enable program mode, “P01” appears in display
and flashing.
5. Press
BUTTON (#13) or BUTTON (#12) repea edly o selec he desired s a ion
memory for s orage.
6. Press he PROGRAM BUTTON (#11) again o confirm he se ing.
7. Repea s ep 2 o 5 o s ore o her s a ions if necessary.
No e: You can overwri e a presen s a ion by s oring ano her frequency in i s place.
Recalling the Pre et Station
In radio mode, ap he PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (#8), he prese s a ion number Pxx will
show on he LED DISPLAY (#18), ap he SKIP
BUTTON (#12) or SKIP

CD / MP3 CD OPERATION
PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
CD mechanisms used in devices like his are designed o fully read all commercial CDs. They
will also read self-compiled CD-R/CD-RW discs bu i may ake up o 10 seconds for playback
o s ar . If playback does no s ar , i is likely due o he quali y of he CD-R/RW disc and/or
he compa ibili y of he CD compila ion sof ware. Manufac urer is no responsible for he
playback quali y of CD-R/RW discs.
Do no a ach a label or seal o ei her side of he CD-R/RW disc. I may cause a malfunc ion.
FOR WINDOWS USERS:
When using he “Burn a CD” fea ure o crea e an MP3 CD in Windows, you mus selec he
“Wi h a CD/DVD player” op ion when i asks “How do you wan o use he disc?” The MP3 CD
will no play on his uni if you selec he “Like a USB flash drive” op ion or if he MP3 CD is
no finalized.
PLAY MODE
1. Tap he POWER BUTTON (#6) o urn he uni on.
2. Repea edly ap he FUNCTION BUTTON (#6) o selec CD mode.
3. Open he CD DOOR, load a CD wi h he label side facing upward and hen close he CD
door.
4. Disc informa ion ( o al number of racks) will appear on he LED DISPLAY (#18).
5. Press PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (#8) o s ar playing he CD. The rack ime will show on
he LED DISPLAY (#18).
6. While playing, press he PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (#8) o pause, he rack ime will flash
on he LED DISPLAY (#18). Press PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (#8) again o resume
playing.
7. Tap VOLUME + (#1) or VOLUME - (#2) o he desired volume level.
8. Press CD STOP
BUTTON (#9) o s op playing.
9. Press and hold he POWER BUTTON (#6) o urn off he uni .
NOTES: -
If skipping occurs during CD playback, ry urning he volume down.
- Do no open he CD DOOR when a CD is playing.
REPEAT MODE (playing a CD)
Repeat 1:
Tap he MODE BUTTON (#10), he REPEAT INDICATOR (#22) will ligh up and flash. The
curren rack will be repea ed un il i is in errup ed.
Repeat All:

PROGRAM PLAY MODE
This func ion allows music racks o be played in a programmed sequence.
NOTE
: Program can only be se in STOP mode.
1. Tap he PROGRAM BUTTON (#11). The PROGRAM INDICATOR (#21) and he program
number P01 will ligh up and flash.
2. Press he SKIP BUTTON (#13) SKIP BUTTON (#12) o selec he rack o be
programmed.
3. Press he PROGRAM BUTTON (#11) again o s ore he selec ion. The program number
will advance o P02 and flash o promp for he nex inpu .
4. You may repea s eps 2 o 3 o program up o 20 racks (CD) and 99 racks (MP3/CD). As
soon as you have en ered he maximum number of racks, he display will show “FUL” and
flash.
5. Press he PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (#8) o s ar playback in order.
6. Press he CD STOP
BUTTON (#9) o s op playback and press i wice o clear all
programmed racks. The PROGRAM INDICATOR (#21) will go off

Normally all he programmed racks will be played hrough once and hen s op. However, you
may use he REPEAT func ion o repea edly play a cer ain rack (Repea 1) or all racks
(Repea All) in he program. You may also ap he SKIP BUTTON (#13) o go direc ly o
o her racks ahead or he SKIP BUTTON (#12) o go back o previous rack(s) during
program play.

AUXILIARY INPUT
This uni provides an AUX IN JACK (#24) for connec ing ex ernal audio devices like MP3
players, CD players, smar phones and iPods (excep iPod shuffle 3rd genera ion) o lis en o
your ex ernal source hrough he speakers of his sys em.
1. Use an audio cable (no included) wi h one 3.5 mm s ereo plug on each end of he cable.
2. Plug one end in o he AUX IN JACK (#24) on he main uni and he o her end of he cable
in o he Line-ou Jack or Headphone Jack of your ex ernal audio device.
3. Turn on he ex ernal audio device.
4. To selec auxiliary audio inpu , ap he FUNCTION BUTTON (#6) o selec AUX mode.
5. The volume level can now be con rolled hrough he main uni . Opera e all o her func ions
on he auxiliary device as usual.
Note :
(1) If he Line-ou Jack of your ex ernal device is connec ed, hen you only need o adjus he
volume con rol of his sys em. If he Headphone Jack of your ex ernal device is connec ed,
hen you may need o adjus bo h he volume con rol of your ex ernal device and he
volume con rol of his sys em o find he mos desirable volume se ing.
(2) Press and hold he POWER BUTTON (#6) o urn off he uni when you finish lis ening.

SLEEP OPERATION
The SLEEP TIMER fea ure allows you o urn off he uni au oma ically af er a designa ed
ime has elapsed.
1. Selec CD, FM or AUX Mode and begin playing music from he selec ed source.
2. Tap he SLEEP BUTTON (#4) o en er sleep mode.
3. Repea edly ap he SLEEP BUTTON (#4) o selec he sleep imer 90 – 80 – 70 – 60 –
50 – 40 – 30 - 20 – 10 – OFF (in minu es). The uni will play for he selec ed leng h of
ime hen urn off au oma ically.
4. To cancel he sleep imer, repea edly ap he SLEEP BUTTON (#4) un il he imer shows
OFF.
