This uni employs a laser. The use of con rols or adjus men or performance of procedures

PROTECT YOUR FURNITURE!!

POWER SOURCE (AC ADAPTOR ONLY)
The uni is powered by an ex ernal 120V AC adap or wi h an ou pu of AC 5V / 3A.
The uni is also equipped wi h a ba ery back-up sys em for he clock ha is powered by
2 x ‘AA’ (UM-3) ba eries (No included).
POWER CONNECTION
1. Plug he cord of he power adap or in o he DC IN JACK (#28) loca ed on he back of he
uni .
2. Plug he power adap or in o a household wall socke . The uni is powered up and in
s andby mode when you see he display urn on and begin flashing.
B ttery B ck-up system
• The uni is equipped wi h a ba ery back-up sys em. I requires 2 x ‘AA’ (UM-3)
ba eries (No included).
• Open he BATTERY DOOR (#27) on he bo om of he uni . Inser he ba eries in o
he backup ba eries compar men and make sure he posi ive and nega ive (+ or -)
sides of he ba eries are in con ac wi h he corresponding erminals in he ba eries
compar men . Replace he BATTERY DOOR (#27).
• If a power ou age occurs; he uni au oma ically swi ches o he ba ery power supply
and keeps he clock se ings.
• When replacing he ba ery, do no disconnec he power adap or. O herwise, all clock
and alarm se ings will be los .
Note:
The uni will s ill opera e wi hou he ba eries ins alled, bu he ime and alarm se ings
will be los and have o be rese in he even of a power in errup ion or failure.
BATTERY NOTE AND CARE
- Ba eries shall no exposed o excessive hea such as sunshine, fire or he like.
- Be sure ha all ba eries are ins alled correc ly. Wrong polari y may damage he uni .
- Do no mix old and new ba eries.
- Do no mix alkaline, s andard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) ba eries.
- Only ba eries of he same or equivalen ype as recommend are o be used.
- If he uni is no be used for an ex ended period of ime, remove all ba eries. Old or
leaking ba ery can cause damage o he uni and may void he warran y.
- Do no dispose ba eries in fire. Ba eries may leak or explode.
- Danger of explosion if ba ery is incorrec ly replaced.
STANDBY MODE
S andby Mode is when he uni is firs plugged in o an AC power source (display flashing), or
af er all he se ings have been made and he ime is showing on he display. The radio, CD
player and Aux-in modes are all off, no bu ons are pressed and no alarms are sounding.

SETTING THE CLOCK
The LED DISPLAY (#1) will flash when he uni is plugged in for he firs ime. The uni is now
in s andby mode.
Setting the Time:
1. In s andby mode, press and hold he TIME SET BUTTON (#25)
un il he hour digi s of he clock display begin o flash.
2. Repea edly ap he SKIP
BUTTON (#22) or SKIP
BUTTON (#23) o se he hour. Press and hold he bu ons for
fas reverse/advance se ing. Make sure he correc AM or PM
ime is selec ed when se ing he hour.
Note: The PM INDICATOR (#9) is loca ed in he righ par of he LED DISPLAY (#1).
The PM INDICATOR (#9) will ligh when he hour digi s selec ed are for PM ime. The PM
INDICATOR (#9) will be off when he hour digi s selec ed are for AM ime.
3. Press he TIME SET BUTTON (#25) o confirm he ime and he
minu e digi s will flash.
4. Repea edly ap he SKIP
BUTTON (#22) or SKIP
BUTTON (#23) o se he minu e. Press and hold he bu ons for
fas reverse/advance se ing.
5. Tap he TIME SET BUTTON (#25) o confirm and comple e he se ing. The display will
s op flashing.
Checking the time:
Press and hold he TIME SET BUTTON (#25) 2 seconds when he uni is in CD, FM or AM
modes and he curren ime will show on he LED DISPLAY (#1) for 5 seconds. The previous
display will au oma ically re urn once he 5 seconds expires.
ALARM OPERATION
The uni fea ures a dual alarm clock.
Setting the l rms:
1. In s andby mode, press and hold he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17), The ALARM 1
INDICATOR (#12) and he hour of he alarm ime will flash.
2. Tap he SKIP BUTTON (#23) or SKIP BUTTON (#22) o se he hour. Press and
hold he bu ons for fas advance/reverse se ing.
No e: Make sure he correc AM or PM ime is selec ed when se ing he hour.
3. Tap he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17) o confirm he hour se ing, he minu e digi s will flash o
promp for inpu .
4. Tap he SKIP BUTTON (#23) or SKIP BUTTON (#22) o se he minu e. Press and
hold he bu on for fas reverse/advance se ing.
5. Tap he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17) o confirm he minu e se ing. The wake up op ion will
now show on he LED DISPLAY (#1) o promp for inpu .
6. Tap he SKIP BUTTON (#23) or SKIP BUTTON (#22) o selec he wake up op ion
(Cd-CD, bU-ALARM, rAd-FM or rAd-AM).
7. Tap he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17) o confirm and comple e he ALARM 1 se ing.

8. Se ing he ALARM 2 ime uses he same s eps above, bu using he ALARM 2 BUTTON
(#18) in place of he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17).

ap any bu on wi hin 10 seconds.
W ke to music from CD – Turning the w ke to CD on:
The CD will au oma ically urn on when he alarm ime is reached. The corresponding
ALARM 1 INDICATOR (#12) or ALARM 2 INDICATOR (#11) will flash.
The uni will s ar playing he CD when he wake ime is reached, so make sure he CD is
inser ed and can be properly played, o herwise he uni will defaul o he alarm sound
au oma ically.
The volume level will gradually increase from low o high.
Press he SNOOZE BUTTON (#20) o emporarily urn off he CD player, or press and
hold he ALARM OFF BUTTON (#24) or POWER BUTTON (#21) wo seconds o urn he
alarm off.
If no bu ons are pressed when he radio is playing, i will con inue playing for 60 minu es and
hen urn off au oma ically.
W king to Al rm - Turning w ke to ALARM on:
• A beeping Alarm will au oma ically urn on when he alarm ime is reached. The
corresponding ALARM 1 INDICATOR (#12) or ALARM 2 INDICATOR (#11) will flash.
• The volume level of he alarm sound will gradually increase from low o high.
• Press he SNOOZE BUTTON (#20) o emporarily urn off he alarm, or press and hold he
ALARM OFF BUTTON (#24) or POWER BUTTON (#21) wo seconds o urn he alarm off.
If no bu ons are pressed when he alarm is sounding, i will con inue sounding for 60 minu es
and hen urn off au oma ically.
W ke to R dio (AM or FM) - Turning the w ke to FM or AM on:
The Radio will au oma ically urn on when he alarm ime is reached. The corresponding
ALARM 1 INDICATOR (#12) or ALARM 2 INDICATOR (#11) will flash.
The uni will urn on o he las FM or AM radio s a ion you lis ened o when he wake ime
is reached, so make sure he s a ion is se o he one you wan o wake up o.
The volume level will gradually increase from low o high.
Press he SNOOZE BUTTON (#20) o emporarily urn off he radio, or press and hold he
ALARM OFF BUTTON (#24) or POWER BUTTON (#21) wo seconds o urn he alarm off.
If no bu ons are pressed when he radio is playing, i will con inue playing for 60 minu es and
hen urn off au oma ically.
Review the Al rm time setting:
1. In s andby mode, press and hold he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17), The ALARM 1
INDICATOR (#12) and he hour of he alarm ime will flash.
2. Tap he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17) o check he minu e of he alarm ime.
3. Tap he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17) again o check he wake up op ion.
4. Tap he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17) again re urn o s andby mode.
5. Review he ALARM 2 se ing uses he same s eps above, bu using he ALARM 2
BUTTON (#18) in place of he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17).

Setting the l rms ON/OFF:
1. In S andby mode, ap he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17) o urn on Alarm 1. The ALARM 1
INDICATOR (#12) on he LED DISPLAY (#1) will urn on.
2. Tap he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17) again o urn off he Alarm 1. The ALARM 1
INDICATOR (#12) will be urned off.
3. Turning Alarm 2 on/off will uses he same s eps above, bu using he ALARM 2 BUTTON
(#18) in place of he ALARM 1 BUTTON (#17).
SNOOZE FUNCTION
When he alarm sounds, ap he SNOOZE BUTTON (#20) o emporarily urn off he alarm
and ac iva e he snooze func ion. The alarm will s op and urn on again 9 minu es la er. This
can be repea ed when he alarm sounds again.
No es:
• The corresponding AL1 or AL2 alarm indica or will flash during he snooze period.
• To cancel he snooze period and he alarm, press he POWER BUTTON (21).
RADIO OPERATION
Listening to the r dio:
1. Tap he POWER BUTTON (#21) o urn he uni on.
2. If you repea edly ap he FUNCTION BUTTON (#19), you will s ep hrough he differen
modes available: CD -> FM Radio -> AM Radio -> AUX
3. Tap he FUNCTION BUTTON (#19) repea edly o selec ei her FM or AM radio mode.
4. The FM or AM frequency will show on he LED display (#1).
5. M nu l Tuning: Repea edly ap he SKIP
BUTTON (#22) or SKIP
BUTTON (#23)
o manually adjus he frequency.
6. Autom tic Tuning: Press and hold he SKIP
BUTTON (#22) or SKIP
BUTTON
(#23) o au oma ically une o he previous or nex available s a ion.
7. Tap he VOL + / - BUTTONS (#15 / #16) o ob ain he desired volume level.
8. Press and hold he POWER BUTTON (#21) o urn he radio off.
Notes:
• Use M nu l Tuning o selec weaker s a ions ha migh be skipped during Au oma ic
Tuning.
• If he Au oma ic Tuning does no s op on he exac frequency of he s a ion, for example, i
s ops on 88.9 MHz ins ead of 88.8 MHz, use he manual uning me hod o “fine une” o
he exac frequency of he desired s a ion.
TIPS FOR BEST RADIO RECEPTION
AM - The AM an enna is buil inside he radio. If AM recep ion is weak, change he posi ion of
he uni un il he in ernal an enna picks up he s ronges signal.
FM - If FM recep ion is weak, fully ex end he FM ANTENNA (#29) and vary he posi ion and
loca ion of he an enna un il you find he s ronges signal.

To set / rec ll the r dio presets:
The uni allows you o s ore up o 10 FM s a ions and 10 AM s a ions for easy recall a any
ime.
1. Se o FM or AM mode
2. Turn o he desired radio s a ion by “MANUAL” or “AUTO” uning me hod.
3. Press he PROGRAM BUTTON (#17) o enable program mode, “P01” appears in display
and flashing.
4. Press BUTTON (#23) or BUTTON (#22) repea edly o selec he desired s a ion
memory for s orage.
5. Press he PROGRAM BUTTON (#17) again o confirm he se ing.
6. Repea s ep 2 o 5 o s ore o her s a ions if necessary.
No e: You can overwri e a presen s a ion by s oring ano her frequency in i s place.
Rec lling the Preset St tions
In FM or AM radio mode, ap he PROGRAM BUTTON (#17), he prese s a ion number Pxx
will show on he LED DISPLAY (#1), ap he SKIP
BUTTON (#22) or SKIP
BUTTON
(#23) o selec he prese s a ions.
CD OPERATION
PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
CD mechanisms used in devices like his are designed o fully read all commercial CDs. They
will also read self-compiled CD-R/CD-RW discs bu i may ake up o 10 seconds for playback
o s ar . If playback does no s ar , i is likely due o he quali y of he CD-R/RW disc and/or
he compa ibili y of he CD compila ion sof ware. Manufac urer is no responsible for he
playback quali y of CD-R/RW discs.
Do no a ach a label or seal o ei her side of he CD-R/RW disc. I may cause a malfunc ion.
PLAY MODE
1. Tap he POWER BUTTON (#21) o urn he uni on.
2. Repea edly ap he FUNCTION BUTTON (#19) o selec CD mode. The CD indica or (#3)
will ligh on he lef par of he LED DISPLAY (#1).
3. Open he CD DOOR (#14), load a CD wi h he label side facing upward and hen close he
CD door.
4. Disc informa ion ( o al number of racks) will appear on he LED DISPLAY (#1).
5. Press PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (#24) o s ar playing he CD. The rack ime will show on
he LED DISPLAY(#1).
6. While playing, press he PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (#24) o pause, he rack ime will
flash on he LED DISPLAY (#1). Press PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (#24) again o resume
playing.
7. Tap VOLUME + (#15) or VOLUME - (#16) o he desired volume level.
8. Press CD STOP BUTTON (#25) o s op playing.
9. Press and hold he POWER BUTTON o urn off he uni .
NOTES: - If skipping occurs during CD play, ry urning he volume down.
- Do no open he CD DOOR when a CD is playing.

REPEAT MODE
Repe t 1:
Tap he REPEAT BUTTON (#18), he REPEAT INDICATOR (#8) will ligh up and flash. The
curren rack will be repea ed un il i is in errup ed.
Repe t All:
Tap he REPEAT BUTTON (#18) again; he REPEAT INDICATOR (#8) will s ay li . The whole
disc will be played repea edly.
To C ncel Repe t Function:
Tap he REPEAT BUTTON (#18) again. The REPEAT INDICATOR (#8) will urn off.
SKIP AND SEARCH MODE
1. During Play or Pause mode, ap he SKIP BUTTON (#23) or SKIP BUTTON (#22)
o go o he nex rack or go back o he beginning of he curren rack.
2. During play mode or Pause mode, press and hold he SKIP BUTTON (#23) or SKIP
BUTTON (#22) o search wi hin he curren rack wi h audible high speed playback.
PROGRAM PLAY MODE
This func ion allows music racks o be played in a programmed sequence.
NOTE: Program can only be se in STOP mode.
1. Press and hold he PROGRAM BUTTON (#17). The PROGRAM INDICATOR (#7) ligh on
he LED DISPLAY and he program number P01 will flash.
2. Press he SKIP BUTTON (#23) SKIP BUTTON (#22) o selec he rack o be
programmed.
3. Press he PROGRAM BUTTON (#17) again o s ore he selec ion. The program number

This uni provides an AUX IN JACK (#30) for connec ing ex ernal audio devices like MP3
players, CD players, smar phones and iPods (excep iPod shuffle 3rd genera ion) o lis en o

1. Use an audio cable (no included) wi h one 3.5 mm s ereo plug on each end of he cable.
2. Plug one end in o he AUX IN JACK (#30) on he main uni and he o her end of he cable
in o he Line-ou Jack or Headphone Jack of your ex ernal audio device.
3. Turn on he ex ernal audio device.
