Hand Compression Tool
Step 1: Preparation
Open the top hatch by pulling
upward on the release strap. Install the bottom cable insert
into the front of the frame as
shown. Repeat this step with the
top cable insert inside the hatch.
Place the interface insert into the
rear of the frame. Press firmly
toward the back of the unit.
Step 2: Compressing a connector
Insert the cable and connector
into the frame and close the top
hatch. Follow the supplied
connector installation instructions.
Squeeze the lever arm. Repeat
until you hear an audible “pop.”
This means the connector is
fully compressed.
Squeeze the release lever as
shown. Open the hatch and
remove the compressed
connector.
Step 3: Removing the inserts
Squeeze the lever arm until
there is enough space to insert
the plastic removal tool.
Press the plastic removal tool
behind the adapter. Squeeze
the release lever and remove
the adapter.
Slide the bottom cable insert
backward until it can be
removed. Repeat this step with
the top cable insert inside the
hatch.
