IMPORTANT POINTS

In order for this produ t to meet all your requirements, we ask you BEFORE EACH USE, to follow the instru tions in this manual.

Disregarding the instru tions des ribed in this manual ould give rise to some serious reper ussions. We advi e that you re-read these instru tions from time to time. In

addition JMP International de lines all responsibility for any use, storage methods or maintenan e arried out in any other manner than that des ribed in this manual.

If the buyer is not the end user, it is important that these instru tions are given to the latter.

Che k that the PPE you have a quired is ompatible with the re ommendations of all other omponents of the fall arrest system. It is ne essary to be ompletely sure

before use that the re ommendations spe ifi to ea h element asso iated with this produ t, su h as defined in their instru tions, are respe ted. Whenever possible, it is

strongly advised to personally attribute the PPE to an individual user.

PUTTING ON THE FULL BODY HARNESS

Follow the instru tions of the manufa turer showed on the pi ture 5. So that the harness is ompletely reliable, it must be orre tly adjusted (neither too tight, nor too

loose). Corre tly putted seat belt must be positioned on the hips and adjusted to the user's needs.

After adjusting your harness, he k that no webbing is twisted or rossed over that all the bu kles are orre tly atta hed and that the ba k „D” is situated at the level of

the shoulder blades. For your safety do not hesitate to seek help to ensure that your harness is orre tly fitted.

Fall arrest harness EN 361: 00

Full body harness for fall arrest are omponent of a fall arrest system in a ordan e with the EN 363 standard (personal fall arrest systems). It must be used in

onjun tion with EN 795 an hors, EN 362 lo king arabiners, EN 355 energy absorber, et .. Only dorsal and sternal points may be used to atta h a fall arrest system, for

example a mobile fall arrester, an energy absorber, or other system des ribed in the EN 363 standard. For ease of identifi ation, these points are marked with the letter

‘A’ or ‘A/2’ (half of atta hment point – you have to onne t two of them for proper use).

EN 358: 1999 harness for work positioning (if in ulded)

These atta hment points are designed to either hold the user in position at the work station, or to prevent the worker from entering a zone where a fall is possible. These

atta hment points must only be used to atta h to a restraint or work positioning system, maximum fall height: 0.5 m. These atta hment points are not designed for fall

arrest usage. It may be ne essary to supplement work positioning or travel restraint systems with olle tive or personal fall arrest systems. Always use the two side

atta hment points together by linking them with a positioning lanyard in order to be omfortably supported by the waistbelt. Regularly he k the effe tiveness of the

system during use (adjustment and atta hment elements)

ATTENTION

Verify that this produ t is ompatible with the other elements of the system in your appli ation ( ompatible = good fun tional intera tion). Equipment used with your

harness must meet urrent standards in your ountry (e.g. EN 362 arabiners).

A tivities at height are dangerous and an bring about serious a idents and injuries. We remind that you are personally responsible in the ase of an a ident, injury or

fatality to either yourself or a third party during or following the use of one of our produ ts. It is re ommended that training in the use of our produ ts is done under the

supervision and instru tion of a ompetent and experien ed person. Ensure that you have been adequately trained in the use of this PPE and make sure that you have

fully understood how it works. If there is any doubt , do not take any risks but seek advi e. A good physi al ondition is obligatory in order to arry out work from a height.

IMPORTANT:

Before ea h use user have to arry out an visual examination in order to assure the integrity of the PPE. Che k all webbings, espe ially at the atta hment points, at the

adjustment bu kles, and at the safety stit hing. Any PPE that has been subje ted to a fall must not be used. Never try to modify or repair a pie e of PPE yourself; only

the manufa turer or a repair entre are able to arry out these repairs. These instru tions must be kept with the produ t.

This PPE must be examined at least on e a year by the manufa turer/distributor or by a ompetent person. The he k must be re orded on the table whi h an be found

on the be k of this instru tion. Confirmation of this review must be found in the Charter of the User of this produ t

Anchorage point:

It is preferable to use an an horage point situated above the user. If possible use stru tural an horage points that onform to the standard EN 795 intended for this

purpose (minimum strength of 12 kN). The learan e below the user must be suffi ient to prevent the user from striking any obsta le in ase of a fall. Spe ifi details on

al ulating learan e are found in the te hni al noti es for the other omponents (energy absorbers, mobile fall arrester, et .).

ADITIONAL INFORMATIONS

You must have a res ue plan to rapidly implement it in ase of diffi ulties en ountered while using this equipment. In a fall arrest system, it is essential to he k the

required learan e below the user before ea h use, to avoid any impa t with the ground or an obsta le in ase of a fall. Make sure that the an hor point is orre tly

positioned in order to limit the risk and the height of a fall. A fall arrest harness is the only devi e enable to prote t user against fall down in a fall arrest system.

WARNING: ensure that your produ ts do not rub against abrasive or sharp surfa es. Inert suspension in a harness an result in serious injury or death. The instru tions

for use for ea h item of equipment used in onjun tion with this produ t must be respe ted. The instru tions for use must be provided to users of this equipment in the

language of the ountry in whi h the produ t is to be used. Make sure the markings on the produ t are legible.

While using the textile elements must be prote ted before onta t with oils, solvents, a ids and alkalis, open flame, splashes of hot metal and sharp obje ts. It is

forbidden to make any repairs or modifi ations to the equipment itself. Making any repairs or hanges or additions should be entrusted with the equipment manufa turer

or a ompetent person, authorized by the manufa turer

MAITENANCE AND STORAGE

Good maintenan e and storage of your PPE will prolong the working- life of your produ t, while ensuring your safety:

- The harness should be leaned with water and mild soap. Never use a id, solvents or anything based on this.

- The lifetime is depending on frequen y and onditions of using. For determination of life time user have to heque produ t and to evaluate eventual damage a ording

to the previous hapters.

The using lifetime of the produ ts is dependent on the frequen y and onditions under whi h it is used (salt, moisture, hemi als, et .) and the method of storage and

transportation (if it is dry and transported in appropriate boxes or bags). The using lifetime of metal produ ts spe ified by the manufa turer is unlimited. Produ ts with

elements of textile or plasti parts after 10 years from the date of using start (this date must be entered in the ard user) and not later than 13 years from the produ tion

date, must be submitted to the ontrol of the manufa turer or the person / ompany authorized by the manufa turer to determine the suitability of the produ t for further

use. A produ t must be retired when: It is over 10 years old and it is made of plasti or textiles - after this time has to he ked by manufa turer or by the person

authorized by the manufa turer for further use. When It has been subje ted to a major fall (or load). It fails to pass inspe tion. You have any doubt as to its reliability.

When it be omes obsolete due to hanges in legislation, standards, te hnique, or in ompatibility with other equipment. Destroy retired equipment to prevent further use.
