Fettfilter:Besondersist auf die Fettfilterzuachten. Sie sind regelmäßigzureinigen,wenn der AlarmFettfiltererscheint.
Für die Hinweise über den Filteralarm wird auf den Abschnitt Bedienung verwiesen. Bauen Sie die Filter wie unter Punkt
1 beschrieben aus und waschen Sie sie mit Neutralreiniger.
Kohlefilter:BeiGebrauchdesGeräts in Umluftversion, sind die Fettfilter regelmäßig auszuwechseln,wennderAlarm
Kohlefilter erscheint. Für die Hinweise über den Filteralarm wird auf den Abschnitt Bedienung verwiesen. Demontage des
Kohlefilters: Das Metallgitter (Abb.3a) und den Fettfilter (Abb.3b) entfernen.
Den Kohlefilter herausnehmen, indem die Haltevorrichtung nach oben gedrückt wird, den Filter drehen, bis die beiden
Blättchen aus ihrem Sitz entfernt werden. (Abb.16).
Beleuchtung: um zu den Lampen zu gelangen, muss die Metallhalterung entfernt werden, indem die beiden
Schrauben (Abb.18) gelockert und die Halterung nach rechts verschoben werden; um die Halogenlampen auszuwechseln,
die Mutter gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen und den Glaskolben herausnehmen (Abb.19) und mit einer Lampe des selben
Typs austauschen.

WARNING
The distance between the supporting surface for the cooking vessels on the hob and the lower part of the hood must
be at least 35 cm. If the instructions for installation for the hob specify a greater distance, this has to be taken into
account.
The air collected must not be conveyed into a duct used to blow off smokes from appliances fed with an energy other
than electricity (central heating systems, thermosiphons, water-heaters, etc.).
Comply with the official instructions provided by the competent authorities in merit when installing the disposal duct.
In addition, exhaust air should not be discharged into a wall cavity, unless the cavity is designed for that purpose.
Theroommustbewellaerated in case a hood and some other heat equipment fed with an energy other than electricity
(gas, oil, coal heaters, etc) operate at the same time.
In fact the intake hood, disposing of air, could create a vacuum in the room. The vacuum should not exceed 0,04mbar.
This prevents the gas exhausted by the heat source from being intaken again. It is therefore advisable to ensure
the room contains air taps able to ensure a steady flow of fresh air.
Check the data label inside the appliance; if the symbol ( ) is printed, read the following: this appliance has
such technical particulars that it belongs to class II insulation, therefore it must not be earthed.
The following warning is valid in the United Kingdom only: in case your cable is not furnished with a plug, read the
following instructions; as the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: – the wire which is coloured blue must
be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black; – the wire which is coloured brown
must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red. – terminal of a three-pin plug.

When making the electrical connections, check that the voltage values correspond to those indicated on the data

no plug, or has not got any other device ensuring omnipolar disconnection from the electricity main, with a contact
opening distance of at least 3 mm, such separating device ensuring disconnection from the main must be included

in the fixed installation. If your unit features a power lead and plug, position this so the plug is accessible.
Always switch off the electricity supply before carrying out any cleaning or servicing operations on the appliance.
USE
Avoid using materials which could cause spurts of flame (flambées) near the appliance.
When frying, take particular care to prevent oil and grease from catching fire. Already used oil is especially dangerous
in this respect. Do not use uncovered electric grates.
To avoid possible risks of fire always comply with the indicated instructions when cleaning anti-grease filters and
when removing grease deposits from the appliance.
MAINTENANCE
Thorough servicing guarantees correct and long-lasting operation.
Any fat deposits should be removed from the appliance periodically depending on amount of use (at least every 2
months). Avoid using abrasive or corrosive products. To clean painted appliances on the outside, use a cloth dipped
in lukewarm water and neutral detergent. To clean steel, copper or brass appliances on the outside, it is always best
to use specific products, following the instructions on the products themselves. To clean the inside of the appliance,
use a cloth (or brush) dipped in denatured ethyl alcohol.
DESCRIPTION
The hood may be in the filtering or the ducting version.
Filtering version (Fig. 1): The hood aspirates the kitchen air saturated with fumes and odours, purifies it through
the grease filters and charcoal filters and returns clean air into the room. For constant efficiency, the charcoal filters must
be replaced periodically. The charcoal filters are not supplied.
Ducting version (Fig. 2): The hood aspirates the kitchen air saturated with fumes and odours, passes it through the
grease filters and expels it to the outside through an outlet pipe. With this version the charcoal filters are not required.
Decide from the outset on the type of installation (filtering or ducting). For greater efficiency, we recommend you install
the hood in the ducting version (if possible).
INSTALLATION
ATTENTION:Twopersonsarerequiredforproperinstallation;theunit should be installed by a qualified operator.
Remove the grease filters before proceeding with the assembly instructions. This will make the appliance easier to handle.
1. Removalofgrease filters: Pullthelock and moveupthe metallic grille.(Fig.3a)takeawaythe greasefilterpushing
down and rotating outside (Fig. 3b).
INSTALLATIONIN DUCTINGVERSION:Beforefixing, theoutletpipe forairevacuation totheoutside mustbeinstalled.
Usean outletpipewith: –minimumindispensable length;–minimum possiblebends(maximum angleofbend:90°);–certified
material (according to the State); – an as smooth as possible inside. It is also advisable to avoid any drastic changes
in pipe cross-section (recommended diameter: 150 mm). For air evacuation to the outside, follow all the other instructions
givenonthe“Warnings”sheet.Prepare the power supply within the telescopic chimney (for the electrical connection, follow
all the other instructions on the “Warnings” sheet).
2. Mount the plate of the electrical system fixing it with 2 screws and 2 metal washers (Fig. 3C).
3. Fixing to the wall: Draw a line on the wall in vertical line with your hob. Mark the first 2 holes to be drilled in the
wall, respecting the distances indicated in Fig. 4. Drill the 2 holes and fit the screw anchors provided. Bear in mind that
the distance between the lower edge of the hood and the hob must be 350 mm. Fix the metal bracket (A) to the wall using
the 2 holes just drilled (Fig. 5); the screws for fixing the bracket are provided. Use the 2 cut-out triangles on the bracket
to position it exactly along the vertical axis of the hood. Hang the hood on the bracket (Fig. 6). Adjust the horizontal position
moving the hood to the right or left so that it is aligned with the wall units. If you also need to adjust the hood in height,
operate on the adjusting screws (B) provided. When adjustment has been completed, without removing the hood, mark
the other 6 holes to be drilled (C) in the wall. Remove the hood and drill the holes marked (8 mm diameter). Then use the
6 screw anchors and the 6 screws provided for final fixing.
4. Install the flange in the device air outlet and press slightly (Fig.7)
5. Fixing the telescopic flues:
5a-Assemblethetubesupport using a 4 screws kit (Fig.8); then,bymeansofthescrew anchors and screws (F) provided,
fix the bracket to the ceiling in such a way that it is positioned along the axis with your hood (Fig.9).
5b - Connect the air outlet pipe to the air vent of the hood. - Use a flexible pipe and lock it to the air vent of the hood
with a metal hose clamp - Fig.10 (pipe and clamp are not provided). - For exhaust hoods, turn the upper flue over so that
the air exhaust grid is in the lower section (Fig.11).
5c - Plug in the hood. Insert the extension flues setting them on the hood; extend the upper flue to the ceiling and secure
with the 2 screws (H) - Fig.12.
INSTALLATION IN FILTERING VERSION: Prepare the power supply within the telescopic flues (for the electrical
connection, follow all the other instructions on the “Warnings” sheet).
Fixingtothe wall: for fixing to the wall refer to the instructions for the ducting version (see points 2, 3, 4), then continue

with the instructions below.
Fixing the telescopic flues: - Assemble the tube support using a 4 screws kit (Fig.8); - Then, by means of the
screw anchors and screws (F) provided, fix the bracket to the ceiling in such a way that it is positioned along the axis
with your hood (Fig.9). - Mount the flange on the hood in correspondence to the air outlet point (Fig.13). – Take the air
baffle and fit a flexible pipe to it (125 mm diameter) locking it with a metal hose clamp (pipe and clamps are not provided).
Fit the air baffle to the upper flue (Fig.14) with 4 screws.
- Connect the flexible pipe to the flange on the air vent (Fig.15). - Plug in the hood. Insert the extension flues setting them
on the hood; extend the upper flue to the ceiling and secure with the 2 screws H (Fig.12). - Install the charcoal filter fitting
the two filter clips in their housings (Fig.16) and turning the filter upward.
OPERATION
CONTROLS(Fig.17):
A) Turns the lights off.
B) Turns the lights on.
C) Reduces the motor speed until reaching minimum. If pressed for 2", the motor is switched off.
If pressed for 2" when the Filter Alarm is active, the HOUR counter is reset.
D) Starts the motor and increases the speed until reaching maximum
E) Activates/deactivates the sensor (AUTOMATIC or MANUAL mode). In automatic mode the sensor is active and the
LED L2 is on. The LEDs L1 indicate the running speed.
L1) The 4 GREEN LEDs signal the running speed.
L2) When the LED is GREEN it indicates AUTOMATIC mode. When it is off, it indicates MANUAL mode. When the LED
is RED, it indicates the Filter Alarm.
FILTER ALARM: Displayed for 30" when the motor is off:
After 30h of operation, the LED L2 turns RED. It indicates that the grease filters need to be cleaned.
After 120h of operation, the LED L2 turns RED and flashes; It indicates that the grease filters need to be cleaned and
the charcoal filters replaced.
After cleaning the grease filters (and/or replacing the charcoal filters), restart the hour counter (RESET) by pressing the
key C during display of the filter alarm.
GAS SENSOR SENSITIVITY: The sensitivity of the sensor can be modified to suit your requirements. To modify the
sensitivity, the appliance must be in manual mode (i.e. the LED L2 must be off); If not, press the key E.
Modify the sensitivity by simultaneously pressing the keys D and E. The set sensitivity is indicated by the 4 green LEDs.
By means of buttons C(-) and D(+) the desired sensitivity is set (Fig. 16/S). Store the “new” sensitivity by pressing the
key E.
ATTENTION: TOPREVENT DAMAGINGTHESENSOR, DONOTUSE SILICONEPRODUCTSNEAR THEHOOD!
Grease filters: special attention must be given to the grease filters which must be periodically cleaned, whenever
the grease filter alarm trips. For instructions of the filter Alarm, refer to the Controls paragraph. Remove the filters as
shown in para. 1 and wash with neutral detergent.
Charcoal filters: if the filtering version appliance is used, the charcoal filters will have to be periodically replaced
whenthe charcoalfilteralarmtrips. Forinstructionson thefilterAlarm,refer totheControls paragraph. Removingthecharcoal
filter/s: take away the metallic grille (Fig.3a) and the grease filter (Fig.3b). Remove the coal filter pushing the lock inside,
rotate the filter until taking away the two small tongues from their sides (Fig.16).
Lighting: to reach the lamps you remove the metallic support tightening the two screws (Fig. 18) and moving it oo
the right ; to replace the halogen lamps tighten the locknut in the anti-clockwise direction and pull out the bulb (Fig. 19).
Replace the lamps of the same type.

ATTENTION
La distance minimum entre la surface de support des casseroles sur le plan de cuisson et la partie inférieure de la
hotte doit être de 35 cm. Si les consignes, pour l’installation du plan de cuisson, indiquent une plus grande distance,
il faut en tenir compte.
L'airaspirénedoit pas être canalisé dans un conduit quiestutilisépourévacuerles fumées produites par des appareils
alimentés par des sources d'énergies autres que l'énergie électrique (installations de chauffage central, radiateurs,
chauffe-eau, etc.).
Pour évacuer l'air qui doit être éliminé respectez les prescriptions des autorités compétentes. De plus l'air qui doit
être évacué ne doit pas être déchargé dans une cavité du mur, à moins que cette cavité soit prévue pour ce but.
Prévoyez une aération de la pièce adéquate quand une hotte et des appareils alimentés par une énergie autre que
l'énergie électrique (poêle à gaz, à huile, à charbon etc.) sont utilisés en même temps. En effet, en évacuant l'air,
la hotte pourrait créer une dépression dans la pièce. La pression négative de la pièce ne doit pas dépasser 0,04mbar,
évitant ainsi que la source de chaleur provoque un appel des gaz qui doivent être évacués. Il est donc nécessaire
