BEFORE THE FIRST USE
This appliance works with 2 atteries (1.5V, type AAA,
not included). To install, remove the lid of the attery
housing on the ottom part of the scale. Place the
atteries, making sure to respect the polarity indicated
in the attery compartment, and then put the lid ack
in place. You can now use your scale.

After inserting the atteries, the unit will enter the year setting automatically.
Else press the “T-mode” utton for 3 seconds to enter the setting mode.
• Press the “up” or “down” arrow uttons to adjust the Year value, and “T-
set” utton to confirm.
• The unit then enters the Month setting mode. Press the “up” or “down”
arrow uttons to adjust the value, and “T-set” utton to confirm …
• The setting mode switches then to the day / hour / minute setting mode.
Adjust values as needed and validate with “T-Set” utton each time.
• To fast-scroll through the values, leave your finger for more than 2
seconds on the “Up” or “Down” arrow uttons.
• The scale then switches in the “Real Time Display” mode.
START WEIGHING
• Put the scale on an even and hard surface, for instance a ta le or
countertop. Avoid soft surfaces.
• When the scale is in the real time display, press “Mode” to enter the
weighing or volume mode. The value in the middle shall indicate “0”.
• If the display indicates the weighing mode, you can start weighing
directly. If the display shows the milk or water volume mode, press the
“Unit” utton shortly until in the weighing mode. The LCD display will
show “0 g” or “0:0.0 l :oz.”.
• Put the o ject you want to weigh on the scale. The sta ilized weight is
displayed. In the imperial weighting mode, the weight is indicated in US
pounds (l .), US ounces (oz.) and tenth of ounces. (for example the
weight display 2:3.2 means 2 l ., 3Oz. and 2/10 oz.).
• If using a owl or container for example, press on “Z/T” utton to reset to
zero and then add the o ject to weigh in the owl or container (see
TARE FUNCTION elow for more details)
• Remove the o ject from the platform.
• The scale will revert to “Real time mode” automatically 2 minutes after
the scale remains idle.
WEIGHT AND VOLUME UNITS
Your scale allows you to use the metric measurement system (grams,
milliliters) or the imperial system (pounds; ounces, fluid ounces). Choose the
measurement system at any time y pressing the “UNIT” utton for more
than 2 seconds, depending on the measurement system you wish to use.

Note: if you press the “Unit“ utton shortly, you will switch to water/milk
volume measuring mode (see elow). A continuous press on the “Unit”
utton is requested to switch etween measurement systems. The system y
default is imperial.
THE TARE FUNCTION
The tare function is extremely useful to calculate the weight of ingredients
that cannot e put directly on the platform. For example flour, or liquids,
which require a container efore weighing, or for weighting ingredients that
are added after the first weighting, without having to remove the initial
product.
In order to use this function, proceed with the first weighting, let the weight
sta ilize, and then press shortly on the “Z/T” utton. The scale will reset,
display a “T” or “0” sym ol at the left of the weight measurement, and
indicate now 0g or 0:00.0 l :oz. Add the new ingredient to weigh. The
weight indicated on the display is the weight of the ingredient added after
the reset to zero!
Note: when you remove the container from the platform, the LCD display
will show the weight as negative (“-” will appear on the left-hand side). To
reset, press “Z/T” again.

VOLUME MODE
This scale can convert the weight of milk
and water automatically into volumes
measurements (ml or Fl. Oz).
For this, please proceed as follows:
• Press “Mode” utton to turn on the
scale into weighting mode.
• Wait until “0” is displayed.
• Set the weighting system to metric
or imperial pressing the UNIT utton
for more than 2 seconds (if
needed)
• Add a container on the scale.
• Press “Z/T” to reset to “0” (Zero or
tare)
• Add the ingredient to measure.
• Press the UNIT utton shortly once
to select Water Volume Mode, and
twice to select Milk Volume Mode.
Different sym ols shall appear on
the LCD display.
• The display shows now the volume
of the ingredient selected, in Fl.Oz.
(or ml).
• By pressing UNIT again quickly, you
can switch ack to the Weighing
mode, or press MODE to switch
ack to “Time Display” mode.

SET THE COUNTDOWN TIMER
•
In real time display mode, press “T-SET” shortly. “0 _ : _ _” appears,
inviting you to enter a num er for the tens of minutes”. Select a num er
etween 0 and 9, using the “Up Arrow” or “Down Arrow” uttons. Press
“T-SET” to validate and enter then successively the num er of minutes,
tens of seconds, and seconds, each time validating with “T-set” utton.
•
Press “T-set” a last time and the timer will automatically start counting
down to zero.
•
Once “00:00” is reached, an alarm sound will eep for 60 seconds, and
after 60 seconds the scale will automatically return to the real time
display.
•
You can stop the alarm sound at any time y pressing on any utton.
•
The maximum time span for the timer is 99 minutes and 59 seconds.
Note: you can cancel or reset the countdown at any time y pressing “T-
SET” again.

RETURN TO REAL TIME MODE
In weighing mode, simply press the “Mode” utton to return to the real time
display mode. The scale will also return automatically to the real time
display if left idle for 120s.
Important Notice: the scale’s display does not shut off at any time. The idle
state is the real time display mode.
WARNING INDICATORS
1. If the “Lo” sym ol is displayed on the LCD screen, it means that the
atteries of your scale are low and should e replaced soon. Please
dispose of the old atteries in an environmentally
friendly way.
2. If the ”Err” sym ol appears on the LCD screen, it
means that the maximum weight accepted y your
scale is exceeded, please remove the o ject from the
scale in order not to damage your scale.
BATTERY
If your appliance does not work properly, it is pro a ly ecause the
atteries are discharged. In that case, replace them y new ones of the
same type (see paragraph “Before the first use”).
Please dispose of the old atteries in an environmentally friendly way.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Be careful when manipulating the scale ecause it is a precision
device.
• Clean the outside parts only with a lightly damp cloth.
• Never use a rasive products to clean your scale.
• NEVER USE THIS APPLIANCE NEAR WATER; NEVER IMMERSE IT IN WATER
OR ANY LIQUID WHATSOEVER.
• Keep the scale in a cool and dry place.
• Clean all plastic parts immediately after contact with fat, acid, spices,
vinegar or strong flavored or colored food.
• No lia ility will e taken for damages caused y an inappropriate use.

or damaged.

HANG ON THE WALL OR PLACE ON A DESK / COUNTERTOP
•
This scale is equipped with a kickstand at the ack of the unit. Unfold
the kickstand to display the scale vertically.
•
A hanging loop is also included at the top of the scale. Simply pull it out
if you want to hang the scale on the wall using a hook for example, and
fold ack when not needed.
PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT
In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste
electrical and electronic equipment should e disposed of in accordance
with specific rules with the implication of oth suppliers and users. For this

We suggest that you complete and return the enclosed Product
Registration Card promptly to facilitate verification of the date of

This KALORIK product is warranted in the U.S.A. for 1 year from the
date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship. This
warranty is not transfera le. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of

KALORIK, is proven defective, it will e repaired or replaced, at
Kalorik’s option, without charge to the customer. If a replacement
product is sent, it will carry the remaining warranty of the original

This warranty does not apply to any defect arising from a uyer's or
user's misuse of the product, negligence, failure to follow KALORIK
instructions noted in the user’s manual, use on current or voltage
other than that stamped on the product, wear and tear, alteration
or repair not authorized y KALORIK, or use for commercial purposes.
There is no warranty for glass parts, glass containers, filter asket,
lades and agitators, and accessories in general. There is also no
warranty for parts lost y the user.

Luego de colocar las aterías, la unidad ingresará el ajuste del año
automáticamente. Si esto no ocurriera, presione el otón “Modo T” durante
3 segundos para ingresar el modo ajustes.
• Presione los otones flecha “arri a” o “a ajo” para ajustar el Año, y el
otón T-ajuste para confirmar.
• Luego la unidad ingresa el Modo de ajuste de Mes. Presione los otones
flecha “arri a” o “a ajo” para ajustar la Hora, y el otón T-ajuste para
confirmar.
• El modo ajustes cam iará al modo ajuste de día / hora/ minuto. Ajuste
los valores según sea necesario y valide con el otón T-Ajuste cada vez.
• Para recorrer rápidamente los valores,
deje su dedo por m 5s de 2

COMENZAR A PESAR
• Coloque la alanza en una superficie dura y esta le, por ejemplo una
mesa. Evite las superficies más landas.
• Cuando la alanza esté en el indicador de tiempo real. presione
"Modo" para ingresar el modo peso o volumen. El valor en el centro
de erá indicar "0".
Si el indicador muestra el modo Pesar, usted puede empezar a pesar
directamente. Si el indicador muestra el modo volumen de leche o

UNIDAD DE PESO
Su alanza le permite utilizar el sistema de medida métrica (gramos;
mililitros) en imperial (l ., onzas, Onzas Fluidas.). Elija el sistema de medida
en cualquier momento, presione el otón “UNIT” por más de 2 segundos en
función de la medida que desee utilizar (l :oz…g).
Nota: Si usted presiona revemente el otón "Unidad", entrará en el modo
medida de volumen agua/leche (mirar más a ajo). Es necesario presionar
continuamente el otón "Unidad" para ir de un sistema de medida a otro.
El sistema predeterminado es imperial.
LA FUNCION DE TARA
La función de tara es de gran utilidad para calcular el peso de los
ingredientes que no se pueden poner directamente en la plataforma. Por
ejemplo la harina, o líquidos, que requieren un recipiente antes de pesarlos,
o para el peso de ingredientes que se añaden tras el primer peso, sin tener
que quitar el producto inicial.
Para utilizar esta función, realice la primera pesada, deje esta ilizar el
peso, y presione el otón "Z/T". La escala se enciende e indica 0g o 0:0.0
l :oz., y una “T” o “0” aparece a la izquierda de la medida de peso. Añadir
el ingrediente que quiere pesar. El peso indicado en la pantalla es el peso
del ingrediente añadido después de ha er lo puesto a 0!
Nota: Cuando usted quite el recipiente de la plataforma, la pantalla LCD
mostrará el peso de los o jetos en negativo (“-” aparecerá en la parte
izquierda). Para recomponerlo, pulse “Z/T” de nuevo.

MODO DE VOLUMEN
Esta ascule puede convertir el peso de
leche y agua automáticamente en
volúmenes (ml; Fl. Oz).
Por ejemplo, para medir líquidos como agua,
leche, aceite o incluso harina en US tazas,

AJUSTAR EL MEDIDOR DE TIEMPO DE CUENTA REGRESIVA
•
En el modo Indicador de Tiempo real, presione revemente el otón
Ajuste-T. Aparece “0 _ : _ _” pidiéndole que ingrese un número para la
lente de los minutos". Seleccione un número entre el 0 y el 9, utilizando
los otones flecha “Arri a” o "A ajo". Presione “AJUSTE-T” para validar,
e ingrese sucesivamente el número de minutos, décimas de segundos,
y segundos, siempre validando don el otón Ajuste-T cada vez.
•
Presione “Ajuste-T” una última vez, y el medidor de tiempo comenzará
automáticamente a contar regresivamente hasta cero.
•
Una vez alcanzado el “00:00” sonará una alarma durante 60 segundos,
y luego de los 60 segundos la alanza regresará automáticamente al
indicador de tiempo real.
•
Puede detener el sonido de la alarma en cualquier momento
presionando cualquier otón.
•
El máximo período de tiempo para el medidor es 99 minutos y 59
segundos.
Nota: puede cancelar o reajustar la cuenta regresiva en cualquier
momento presionando AJUSTE -T nuevamente.

VOLVER AL MODO TIEMPO REAL
En el Modo Pesar, simplemente presione el otón "Modo" para regresar al
modo indicador de tiempo real. La alanza volverá automáticamente al
indicador de tiempo real si queda inactiva por 120 segundos.
Aviso Importante: El indicador de la alanza nunca se apaga. El estado de
inactividad es el modo indicador de tiempo real.
INDICADORES DE ADVERTENCIA
1. Si el sím olo “LO” aparece en la pantalla de LCD, significa que la
atería de su alanza está aja y de ería ser remplazada pronto.
Por favor para deshacerse de las aterías usadas deposítelas en un
contenedor propio para este propósito.
2. Si el sím olo “EEEE”
aparece en la pantalla LCD,
significa que se excede el peso máximo aceptado
por su alanza. Por favor, retire el o jeto de la
áscula con el fin de no dañarla.
PILA
Si su aparato no funciona correctamente, eso significa pro a lemente que
las pilas estas descargadas. En este caso, remplácelas por pilas de tipo
idéntico. (Véase el párrafo “Primera puesta en marcha”).
Les rogamos eliminen las pilas usadas de manera ecológica.
CONSEJOS DE USO Y DE MANTENIMIENTO
• Trate la alanza con cautela porque es un instrumento de precisión.
• Limpie el exterior únicamente con un pañuelo seco ligeramente
húmedo.
• Nunca limpie su aparato con productos a rasivos.
• NUNCA UTILICE ESE APÂRATO CERCA DEL AGUA. NO SUMERJA
NUNCA EL APARATO EN EL AGUA O EN CUALQUIER OTRO LÍQUIDO.
• Conserve la alanza en un lugar fresco y seco.
• Limpie todas las partes de plástico inmediatamente después de
contacto con grasa, ácido, especias, vinagre o comida con mucho
sa or o coloreada.
• No se puede comprometer ninguna responsa ilidad por
deterioraciones de idas a un uso inapropiado o no conforme con
el modo de empleo. La garantía vuelve caduca si el aparato ha
sido a ierto o dañado.
