CHARACTERISTICS OF YOUR SCALE
• Automatic start /stop
• Memorizes the weight
• Compares the current weight with the previous one

• Precision of the measurement = 0.1 kg/0.2 lbs

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
This appliance works with 2 batteries (1. V, type AAA/LR03, not included).
Open the lid of the battery housing, on the rear part of the scale. Place the
batteries, respecting the polarity indicated, and then close the lid. You can
now use your scale.
WEIGHT UNIT
Your scale allows you to use the metric measurement system (kilograms) OR
the imperial system (pounds). Choose the measurement system by putting
the switch (kg……lb) on the measurement system you wish to use. This
switch is situated on the rear side of the appliance.

Weighing for the first time
Scale turned off
1) Step on the scale and stay as still as possible.
2) The stabilized weight is displayed (flashes 3 times).
3) Step off the scale.
4) Memorization of the weight (the letter “M” appears on the left of the
LCD display).
) The scale turns off automatically.
If the displayed weight seems wrong, you can check if the scale is well
calibrated. To do so,
1) Check that your scale is on a hard and even surface and that the 4
feet touch the ground.
2) When the scale is turned off, gently push with your foot on the right
or left superior corner.
3) The scale will turn on correctly and the LCD display will show “0.0”.
4) Step on the scale (turned on) and remain as still as possible.
) The stabilized weight is displayed (flashes three times).
6) Step off the scale.
7) The scale turns off automatically.
For next weighing
Put the scale on an even and hard surface. Avoid carpets or soft surfaces.
Always weigh on the same scale and if possible in the same place.
Scale turned off
1) Step on the scale and stay as still as possible.
2) The stabilized weight is displayed (flashes 3 times).
3) Step off the scale.
4) The weight difference in comparison to the previous weighing is
displayed (the new weight is compared with the most similar weight).



) Displays alternatively (3 times) the new weight and the weight
difference with the previous weight.
6) Memorization of the new weight (the letter “M” appears on the left
of the LCD display).
7) The scale turns off automatically.
COMPARISON OF THE WEIGHT
The scale automatically searches for the most similar weight saved in the
memory and compare it to the current weight. But if you don’t step off the
scale, or if the difference between the current weight and the previous
weight is superior to five kilos, the scale won’t make any comparison.
After a few seconds, the difference between your current weight and your
last memorized weight is displayed on the LCD display.
ERROR INDICATION
If the symbol appears on the LCD screen, it means your scale has a
problem (wrong initialization or weighing error).
Step off the scale and wait for it to turn off.
You can start again.
OVERLOADING INDICATOR
If the symbol appears on the LCD screen, it means that the
maximum weight accepted by your scale is exceeded, please step off in
order not to damage your scale.
LOW BATTERY INDICATOR
If the symbol is displayed on the LCD screen, it means that the
batteries of your scale should be replaced (see paragraph “Before the first
use”).
BATTERY
If your appliance does not work properly, it is probably because the
batteries are discharged. In that case, replace them by new ones of the
same type (see paragraph “Before the first use”).
Please dispose of the old batteries in an environmentally friendly way.



TIPS FOR USE AND MAINTENANCE
• The surface of the scale is slippery when wet. Keep it dry!
• Be careful when manipulating the scale because it is a precision
device.
• Clean the outside parts only with a lightly damp cloth.
• Never use abrasive products to clean your scale.
• NEVER USE THIS APPLIANCE NEAR WATER; NEVER IMMERSE IT IN
WATER OR ANY LIQUID WHATSOEVER.
• Keep the scale in a cool and dry place.
• Always keep your scale in a horizontal position.
• No liability will be taken for damages caused by an inappropriate
use. The warranty becomes null and void if the appliance was open
or damaged.
PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT
In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste
electrical and electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance
with specific rules with the implication of both suppliers and users. For this

WARRANTY
We suggest that you complete and return the enclosed Product
Registration Card promptly to facilitate verification of the date of
original purchase. However, return of the Product Registration Card is
not a condition of these warranties. You can also fill this warranty
card online, at the following address: www.KALORIK.com
This KALORIK product is warranted in the U.S.A. for 1 year from the
date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship. This
warranty is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of
purchase is required to obtain warranty performance.
During this period, the KALORIK product that, upon inspection by
KALORIK, is proved defective, will be repaired or replaced, at
Kalorik’s option, without charge to the customer. If a replacement
product is sent, it will carry the remaining warranty of the original
product.
This warranty does not apply to any defect arising from a buyer's or
user's misuse of the product, negligence, failure to follow KALORIK
instructions noted in the user’s manual, use on current or voltage
other than that stamped on the product, wear and tear, alteration
or repair not authorized by KALORIK, or use for commercial purposes.
There is no warranty for glass parts, glass containers, filter basket,
blades and agitators, and accessories in general. There is also no
warranty for parts lost by the user.
ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS WITH RESPECT TO
THIS PRODUCT IS ALSO LIMITED TO THE ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
PERIOD.
Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty

If the appliance should become defective within the warranty
period and more than 30 days after date of purchase, do not return
the appliance to the store: often, our Consumer Service
Representatives can help solve the problem without having the

PRIMERA PUESTA EN MARCHA
Ese aparato funciona con 2 pilas de 1, V de tipo AAA/LR03 (no incluidas).
Abre la tapa de emplazamiento de las pilas ubicados en la parte trasera
de la balanza.
Introduzca las pilas respetando las polaridades indicadas, luego cierre las
dos tapas.
Ahora se puede utilizar su balanza.
UNIDAD DE PESO
Su balanza le permite utilizar el sistema de medida métrica (kilogramos) o
imperial (libras). Elija el sistema de medida poniendo el interruptor (Kg.….lb.)
ubicado en la parte trasera del aparato en la unidad de medida deseada.

Si el peso mostrado le parece falso, puede verificar si la balanza esté
correctamente contrastada. Por eso:
1) Verificar que su balanza esté en una superficie dura, plana y que los
4 pies tocan el suelo.
2) Cuando la balanza esté apagada, pulse suavemente en la parte
superior (izquierda o derecha) de la balanza con su pie.
3) La balanza se encenderá correctamente y en la pantalla LCD
« 0.0 » aparecerá.
4) Suba en la balanza (encendida) y quédese lo más inmóvil posible.
) El peso estabilizado aparece (parpadea 3 veces).
6) Bajar de la balanza.
7) La balanza se apaga automáticamente.
Por los pesos siguientes
Coloque la balanza en una superficie dura y estable. Evite las alfombras o
superficies más blandas.
Balanza apagada
1) Suba en la balanza y quédense lo más inmóvil posible.
2) El peso se indica una vez estabilizada (parpadea 3 veces)
3) Baje de la balanza
4) En la pantalla aparece la diferencia de peso en comparación con
el peso anterior (el nuevo peso está comparada con el peso más
similar)
) En la pantalla aparecen alternativamente (3 veces) el nuevo peso y
la diferencia de peso en comparación con el peso anterior.
6) Memorización del nuevo peso (la letra « M » aparece en la parte
izquierda de la pantalla.
7) La balanza se apaga automáticamente.
COMPARACIÓN DEL PESO
La balanza busca automáticamente el peso más similar registrado en la
memoria y le compara con el peso actual. Pero si no baja de la balanza o
si la diferencia entre el peso actual y el peso antiguo es de más de kilos,
la balanza no hará ninguna comparación
Después de unos segundos, la diferencia entre su peso actual y el último
peso memorizado aparece en la pantalla.



INDICACIÓN DE ERROR
Si en la pantalla aparece el símbolo eso significa que su balanza
tiene un problema (inicialización incorrecta o error de peso).
Baje de la balanza y espere hasta que se apague.
Después puede probar de nuevo.
INDICACIÓN DE SOBRECARGA
Si el símbolo aparece en la pantalla LCD, significa que se excede el
peso máximo aceptado por su balanza. Baje para que no se dañe su
balanza.
INDICACIÓN DE BATERÍA ESCASA
Si el símbolo aparece en la pantalla LCD, significa que las pilas de
su balanza deben ser reemplazadas (Véase el párrafo Primera puesta en
marcha).
PILA
Si su aparato no funciona correctamente, eso significa probablemente que
las pilas estén descargadas. En este caso, reemplácelas por pilas de tipo
idéntico. (Véase el párrafo Primera puesta en marcha).
Les rogamos eliminen las pilas usadas de manera ecológica.
CONSEJOS DE USO Y DE MANTENIMIENTO
Se puede resbalar en la plataforma cuando esté mojada. Guárdela seca.
Trate la balanza con cautela porque es un instrumento de precisión.
Limpie el exterior únicamente con un pañuelo seco ligeramente húmedo.
Nunca limpie su aparato con productos abrasivos.
Nunca utilice ese aparato cerca del agua. No sumerja nunca el aparato

PREMIERE MISE EN MARCHE
Cet appareil fonctionne avec 2 piles de 1, V type AAA/LR03 (non fournies).
Ouvrez le couvercle du logement des piles situé à l'arrière de la balance.
Introduisez les piles en respectant les polarités indiquées, puis refermer le
couvercle,
Vous pouvez maintenant utiliser votre balance.
UNITE DE POIDS
Votre balance vous permet d’utiliser le système de mesure métrique
(kilogrammes) OU Imperial (livres). Choisissez le système de mesure, en
mettant le commutateur (kg…….lb) situé à l'arrière de la balance sur l'unité
de mesure que vous désirez utiliser (kg ou lb)
AFFICHAGE LCD
1 = Valeur
2 = Unité de mesure
3 = Mémoire
4 = Augmentation
= Diminution
FONCTIONNEMENT
Placez la balance sur une surface dure et plane. Évitez les tapis/Moquettes
ou surfaces molles.



Lors de votre première pesée :
Balance éteinte
1) Monter sur la balance et restez le plus immobile possible.
2) Affichage du poids stabilisé (clignote 3 fois)
3) Descendre de la balance
4) Mémorisation du poids (la lettre « M » apparait à gauche de l’écran
LCD)
La balance s’éteint automatiquement
Si le poids affiché vous parait erroné, vous pouvez vérifier que la balance
est correctement étalonnée, pour cela,
1) Vérifier que votre balance est sur une surface dure, plane et que les
4 pieds touchent le sol.
2) Lorsque la balance est éteinte, appuyer doucement sur le coin en
haut de la balance (droit ou gauche) avec votre pied.
3) La balance s’allumera correctement et l’écran LCD affichera “0.0”.
4) Monter sur la balance (allumée) et restez le plus immobile possible.
) Affichage du poids stabilisé (clignote 3 fois)
6) Descendre de la balance
7) La balance s’éteint automatiquement
Lors des pesées suivantes :
Placez la balance sur une surface dure et plane. Évitez les tapis/Moquettes
ou surfaces molles.
Pesez-vous toujours sur le même pèse-personne et si possible au même
endroit.
Balance éteinte
1) Monter sur la balance et restez le plus immobile possible.
2) Affichage du poids stabilisé (clignote 3 fois)
3) Descendre de la balance
4) Affichage de la différence de poids par rapport à la pesée
précédente (le nouveau poids est comparé au poids le plus
similaire)



poids par rapport au poids précédent

COMPARAISON DU POIDS
La balance recherche automatiquement le poids le plus similaire enregistré
dans la mémoire et le compare au poids actuel. Mais si vous ne descendez
pas de la balance, ou si la différence entre le poids actuel et l’ancien poids
est de plus de kg, la balance ne fera pas de comparaison.
Au bout de quelques secondes, la différence entre votre poids actuel et
votre dernier poids mémorisé apparaît sur l’afficheur.
INDICATION D’ERREUR
Si le symbole apparait sur l’écran LCD, cela signifie que votre
balance a eu un problème (Initialisation incorrecte ou erreur de pesée)
Veuillez descendre de votre balance et attendre qu’elle s’éteigne.
Ensuite vous pouvez recommencer
INDICATION DE SURCHARGE
Si le symbole apparait sur l’écran LCD, cela signifie que le poids
maximal accepté par votre balance est dépassé, veuillez descendre afin
d'éviter d’endommager votre balance.
AVERTISSEUR DE BATTERIE FAIBLE
Si le symbole apparait sur l’écran LCD, cela signifie que les piles de
votre balance doivent être remplacées (voir paragraphe Première mise en
marche).
PILE
Si votre appareil ne fonctionne plus correctement, cela signifie
probablement que les piles sont déchargées. Dans ce cas, remplacez-les
par des piles de type identique (voir paragraphe Première mise en marche).
Veuillez éliminer les piles usagées de manière écologique.



Traitez la balance avec précaution car il s'agit d'un instrument de
précision.
Nettoyez l’extérieur uniquement avec un chiffon légèrement
humide.
• Ne nettoyez jamais votre appareil à l’aide de produits abrasifs.
• NE JAMAIS UTILISER CET APPAREIL PRÈS DE L’EAU, NE JAMAIS
PLONGER L’APPAREIL DANS DE L’EAU OU TOUT AUTRE LIQUIDE.
• Gardez la balance dans un endroit frais et sec.
Gardez toujours votre balance dans la position horizontale.
• Aucune responsabilité ne peut être engagée pour des
détériorations dues à une utilisation inappropriée ou non conforme
au mode d’emploi. La garantie devient caduque si l’appareil a été
ouvert ou endommagé.
