The company will not take any responsibility for accidents or damage resulting from careless handling by

1.1 Remote Control Unit
1. Functions and Installation
1. STAND BY To switch between operation and stand
by mode.
2. External Input
Press to check the TV’s external
connection status and select an external
device.
3. TV Volume Press to increase or decrease the TV volume.
4. TV/RADIO To switch between TV and Radio.
5. MENU To display the Main Menu on the screen or
return to the previous menu.
6. Up/Down/Left/Right
To move up or down on the menu.
To move left or right on the menu.
7. V.FORMAT To change resolution of HD picture.
(1080i (default), 720p, 576p).
8. VOLUME UP/DOWN
To increase or decrease the volume.
9. SORT (Green)
To sort channel list.
To select button in the On Screen
Display(OSD).
10. SUB-T (Red)
To enable or disable subtitle.
To select button in the On Screen
Display(OSD).
11. NUMERIC BUTTONS
To select the channel and enter the channel
edit and PIN code.
12. TV/STB To switch between TV and STB receive mode.
13. TV Standby
Press to turn on and off your TV.
14. MUTE To enable or disable audio.
15. TV Channel Press to change the current channel.
16. TEXT To see the teletext by OSD. (Option)
17. GUIDE To display the TV/RADIO program guide.
18. EXIT To return the normal viewing mode from a
menu.
19. OK To confirm your choice.
20. A.L/R To select the sound mode. (Mono, Left,
Right, Stereo).
21. CHANNEL UP/DOWN
To change channel up and down.
22. RECALL To return to the previous channel.
23. INFO (Blue)
To display the information box on the
screen.
To select button in the On Screen
Display(OSD).
24. TIMER (Yellow)
To display the reserved list.
To select button in the On Screen
Display(OSD).
25. AUDIO LANGUAGE
To select the audio language.

• When inserting batteries, make sure that the polarity (+/-) is
correct.
• The design of the Remote Control Unit may be changed
without any notice in advance.

1.2.1 Using the THREE DIGIT CODE
1. Turn the TV on before setting the remote control.
2. Press MENU with EXIT button on the remote control for 2 seconds to convert to Setting Mode.
 • ItwillconverttotheSettingModeafterthelampison.
Note : Setting mode will be exited if no input is made for more than 20 seconds.
3. Point the remote control toward the TV.
4. Find the 3-digit code for your manufacturer on the list below, and enter the code by using the number
buttons.
 • Thelampwillblinkonceeachtimeyouenterthenumber.
 • Ifavalid3-digitcodeisentered,lampwillblinkandbecomes“on”status.
5. CheckiftheTVisturnedoffafterenteringthe3-digitcode.
 • IftheTVisoff,checkiftheTVisswitchedonbypressingtheTV button.(ProceedtoStep5).
 • IftheTVisnotoff,enteranother3-digitcode.
Note : If an invalid 3-digit code is entered, lamp will be off for about 1.5 seconds and becomes “on” status,
and you can re-enter the 3-digit code.
6. Press MENU to finish.
 • Thelampwillblink2timesandbecomes"off"status.

1.2.2 Using the AUTO SEARCH (CH▲, CH▼)
1. Turn the TV on before setting the remote control.
2. Press MENU with EXIT button on the remote control for 2 seconds to convert to Setting Mode.
 • ItwillconverttotheSettingModeafterthelampison.
Note : Setting mode will be exited if no input is made for more than 20 seconds.
3. Point the remote control toward the TV.
4. Press CH▲or CH▼button once in turn to check if the TV is turned off.
 • IftheTVisoff,checkiftheTVisswitchedonbypressingtheTVbutton.(ProceedtoStep5).

Caution
Please do not plug in the main power supply cord until you have finished all of the connections!
AlthoughsomeTVandradiochannelsarefreetoview,youmustsubscribetomostTVandradio/music
channelsandaConditionalAccesscomponentisrequired.
If you want to enjoy watching scrambled broadcasting channels, you need to purchase a smart
cardfromaserviceprovider’ssalesdepartment.
However,broadcastingchannelsfrommultipleserviceproviderscallformultipleSmartcards.
Receivers which have only one smartcard provided by one service provider can show several
broadcasting channels of the provider.
Please refer to manuals provided by service providers for details because the smartcards are featured
with unique menus, apart from menus given by the receiver.
Watching"Free-To-Air"channelisavailableregardlessofthesmartcards.
Asserviceprovidersdownloadnewinformationtosmartcardsifnecessary,thosewhosmart
cards should always put the smart cards in proper slots.
Inserting a Smart card
ASmartcardlookssimilartoacreditcardandentitlesyoutoview
and listen to all the channels you choose to subscribe to.
The Smart card slot on the receiver can be used for Smart cards only.
1. Open the right-hand cover on the front panel of the receiver.
2. HoldtheSmartcardhorizontallywiththeelectronicchip 

Before you watch the television or radio program, you must perform the installation procedure first.
Thereforeyouwillseeonly“Installation”menuatfirstwhenyouplugintoyoursystem.
The Installation gives you the convenience of selecting various languages, adjusting the time and channel
search.

• System Connection

•Power On
Turn on the power of the receiver and other devices.
The power cord of the receiver should be connected to a wall outlet.
Press the STANDBY button on the front of the receiver or on the remote control.
•Power Off
 WhenyoupresstheSTANDBYbuttonagain.Thereceiverwilldisplay“OFF”.

Manual Mode (GMT : Greenwich Mean Time)

2.2.3 Channel Search
You can search the channels according to the automatic, automatic (open channel), or manual mode.

informationboxeachtimeyouchangethechannels.
• Everytimeyouchangechannelsyouwillreceiveprogram 

• YoumaychangechannelwiththeUP/DOWN button.
You can get Channel Banner at the bottom of the screen.
• WhenyoupresstheCOLOR button, you can use the banner as a
simple channel operation.
Note
If you press the button below, the banner will be displayed like the following.
1. Blue button → Now information banner.
2. Yellow button → Next information banner.
3. Green button → Channel information banner.
3.1.2 Volume Control/Mute
• Tocontrolaudiovolume,presstheVolumeUP/DOWN buttons.
• VolumecontrolbarwillbeappearedinbottomoftheTVscreen.
• Aftertime-outin1second,volumecontrolbarwilldisappear. 
To temporarily stop the volume, press the MUTE button.
To cancel mute, press the MUTE button again or press the Volume

• Tocancelorexit,presstheAUDIO LANGUAGE button again.
• Youcanchangeadefaultaudiolanguageinthesystemsetting 

output.

4.1 Channel List
This menu helps you to easily select the channel that you want to
watch. You can see the channel list you installed earlier.
To use this menu, you should set channel group you want in the Edit
ChannelListmenu.
• Select“Channel List”inthemainmenuwiththeUP/DOWN
buttons and press the OK button.
• UsingUP/DOWN buttons, you can choose your channel with
small-sized video view on right side.
To get the full-sized video view, press EXIT button.
• Toseetheavailablechannellist,usetheRED button on the remote
control unit repeatedly.
• PresstheTV/RADIO button to toggle between TV channel list
and Radio channel list.
• Togetthechannelsortlist,presstheGREEN button.
Select the sort list you want with UP/DOWN buttons and then
press OK button to get it.
4. Main Menu Guide
4.2 Edit Channel List
From these menus, you can create favorite lists, lock, or skip channel.
• Select“Edit Channel List”inthemainmenuwiththeUP/DOWN
buttons and press the OK button.
• Attherequestwindow,InputPINcode.Ifyouhavenotenteredyour
 ownPINcode,thenthePINcode0000applies,whichwassetatthe
factory.
• PresstheUP/DOWNbuttoninMODEtoselectthedesiredmodeand
then press the OK button.
• Amongtheallchannellist,theselectedchannelcanbemovedto
the right folder of Favorite 1~8, Lock, or Skip.
Press the OK button to add from edit list at right folder.
• Toremovethechannellistfromeditlistatrightfolder,presstheOK
button. The edited list will be removed.
• PresstheBLUE button to change the favorite name.
• Toconfirmthechannellist,presstheMENU button or the EXIT
button. The request window will be displayed on the screen,
press the OK button to save or the EXITbuttontoexitthismenu.
Note
• Press the GREEN button to arrange the channels.
When the Sort pop-up window appears, select the desired arrangement and
then press the OK button.
• Press the RED button if you want to include all the channels in the channel
list.

Select“Program Guide”inthemainmenuwiththeUP/DOWN buttons
and press the OK button. In the viewing program, when you press the
GUIDE button, you can get this view.

• The Program Guide information might not be supported by the service
providers.
4.3.1 Grid EPG Program Guide
• PressUP/DOWN buttons to change channels.
• PressOK button, you can charge channel as well.
• PressLEFT/RIGHTbuttonstochecktheexistingEPGinfoasper 
its time.
• Incasedetailedinfocontentistoolongtocheck,youcancheck 
its information as a long lists form, and resize its lists by pressing
BLUE button.
• PressGREEN button in oder to sort channel lists.
4.3.2 Reservation from EPG
• SelectthedesiredprogramtobereservedfromtheEPGscreen.
• PressingtheYELLOW button will reserve select program.
4.4 System Setting
You will be asked to enter your PIN code before you can enter this
menu.ThePINcodepresetto0000fromthefactory.
If you want to customize the system to suit you better, you can specify
somesettingsfromthesubmenusinthe“System Setting”menu.
• Select“System Setting”inthemainmenuwiththeUP/DOWN
buttons and press the OK button.
• Ifyoumovethefocusonthemainmenu,thecontentsoftheselected
menu will be shown.

You can change default language for menus, audio, and subtitle when
changing services.
4.4.2 Network
In this menu, you can set network.
UsetheUP/DOWN buttons to move to network you want and then
press the OK button.
4.4.3 SCART Ouput
IfyourSCARTsupportsRGBcontrol,select“RGB”.Otherwiseselect
“CVBS”.
4.4.4 Screen Type
Press the UP/DOWN buttons to select the TV setting type.
• PresstheUP/DOWN buttons to select either Letter box(4:3),4:3 Full
Screen, or 16:9 Fill Screen.
4.4.5 Banner Time
Whenyouswitchchannels,aninformationbannerwillbeshownfora
few seconds.
You can select for how long the banner will be shown.
• SelectthebannertimeyouwantandthenpresstheOK button.
•Thetimeranges1,3,6,912,and15seconds,andreferstohowlong
a channel banner will be shown after changing channel.
4.4.6 RF Mode
You can select the RF Mode. If you get picture but no sound, the RF
Mode selecting might be wrong.
4.4.7 RF Channel
Select this alternative if you have to change the RF channel.
SelectanUHForVHFChannelyouwantwithUP/DOWN buttons.
