Lees dit instructieboekje a.u.b. aandachtig door voordat u de kachel
in gebruik neemt of er onderhoud aan pleegt. Bescherm uzelf en
anderen door de veiligheidsvoorschriften in acht te nemen. Het niet
correct volgen van de instructies en voorschriften kan resulteren in
persoonlijke verwondingen en beschadiging van uw eigendommen.
Bewaar dit instructieboekje om het ook later te kunnen raadplegen.
VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
1. Lees alle instructies voordat u de kachel in gebruik neemt.
2. Gebruik de kachel uitsluitend zoals beschreven in deze handlei-
ding. Elk ander, niet door de fabrikant aanbevolen gebruik kan leiden
tot brand, elektrische schok of letsel.
3. Controleer of de stroomvoorziening overeenkomt met de elektri-
sche eisen van de kachel: voor de KEL-SQ 5000 en KEL-SQ 9000 is dat
AC400V-50Hz.
4. Laat de kachel niet bedienen door kinderen of door personen met
beperkingen; wanneer de kachel in hun nabijheid wordt gebruikt, of
wanneer de kachel zonder toezicht werkt, dient u uiterste veilig-
heidsmaatregelen in acht te nemen.
5.Teneinde een elektrische schok te voorkomen dient de stekker van
de kachel op een geschikt stopcontact te worden aangesloten. Als de
stekker niet precies past dient u een erkend elektricien te raadplegen.
Probeer nooit de veiligheidsvoorzieningen te omzeilen!
6.Voorkom het gebruik van verlengsnoeren: die leiden tot vermo-
genverlies en er kan zich warmte in het snoer ontwikkelen wat
brandgevaar kan opleveren. Als een verlengsnoer absoluut nodig is,
gebruik dan voor de KEL-SQ 5000 en de KEL-SQ 9000 minimaal een
vier-aderig snoer met een minimumdoorsnee van 2,5 mm² en ge-
schikt voor minimaal 2500Watt (KEL-SQ 5000) of 3500 Watt (KEL-SQ
9000). Gebruik nooit één verlengsnoer voor meerdere kachels of een
kachel en andere apparatuur!
7. Gebruik de kachel niet met een beschadigde kabel of stekker, of
nadat hij slecht heeft gefunctioneerd, is gevallen of op enige manier
is beschadigd. Breng de kachel naar een erkende reparateur voor
onderzoek en/of reparatie.
8. Schakel de kachel uit en neem de stekker uit het stopcontact voor-
dat u de kachel verplaatst of er onderhoud aan uitvoert. Neem altijd
de stekker uit het stopcontact als de kachel niet wordt gebruikt.
9. Als de stroomkabel beschadigd is dient deze door de fabrikant
of een erkend reparateur te worden vervangen, teneinde gevaar te
voorkomen.
10. Steek geen vingers of andere voorwerpen door de openingen de
kachel in. Dit kan brand, een elektrische schok, letsel of beschadiging
van de kachel veroorzaken. Blokkeer geen openingen en peuter of
knoei niet aan de kachel terwijl deze in werking is. Bedek de kachel
nooit!
11.Teneinde brand te voorkomen mogen de luchtinlaat- en uit-
laatroosters op geen enkele wijze geblokkeerd worden. Plaats de
kachel nooit op een zachte ondergrond als bijv. een matras, waardoor
dergelijke blokkades kunnen optreden.
12. Plaats de kachel altijd op een stabiele, platte, horizontale onder-
grond zodat hij niet om kan vallen. Laat noch de kachel, noch enig

Read this manual carefully before you use the heater or carry out
maintenance. Protect yourself and others by observing the safety
regulations. Failure to follow the instructions correctly may result in
personal injury and damage to your property. Keep this instruction
booklet for future reference.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read all instructions before using the heater.
2. Only use the heater as described in this manual. Any other use not
recommended by the manufacturer may result in re, electric shock
or injury.
3. Check whether the power supply corresponds to the electrical
requirements of the heater: for the KEL-SQ 5000 and KEL-SQ 9000 this
is AC400V-50Hz.
4. Do not allow the heater to be operated by children or by persons
with disabilities; when the heater is used in their vicinity, or
if the heater operates unsupervised, you should observe the utmost
safety measures.
5. In order to prevent electric shock, the heater plug must be con-
nected to a suitable socket. If the plug does not t exactly, consult a
qualied electrician. Never attempt to circumvent the safety features!
6. Prevent the use of extension cords: these lead to loss of power and
heat can develop in the cord, which could cause a re hazard. If an
extension cord is absolutely necessary, use a four-core cable with a
minimum cross-section of 2.5 mm² for the KEL-SQ 5000 and the KEL-
SQ 9000 and a minimum of 2500Watt (KEL-SQ 5000) or 3500 Watt.
(KEL-SQ 9000). Never use one extension cord for multiple heaters or a
heater and other equipment!
7. Do not use the heater with a damaged cable or plug, or if it has
malfunctioned, has fallen or is damaged in any way. Take the heater
to an authorized repairer for examination and / or repair.
8. Switch o the heater and remove the plug from the socket before
moving the heater or carrying out maintenance. Always remove the
plug from the socket when the heater is not used.
9. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manu-
facturer or an authorized repairer in order to avoid a hazard.
10. Do not insert ngers or other objects through the openings into
the heater.This can cause re, electric shock, injury or damage to the
tove. Do not block openings and toddler or mess to the heater while
it is operating. Never cover the heater!
11. In order to prevent re, the air inlet and outlet grids must not be
blocked in any way. Never place the heater on a soft surface such as a
mattress, which could cause such blockages.
12. Always place the heater on a stable, at, horizontal surface so
that it can not fall over. Do not let the heater or any other object rest
on the cable. Do not lead the cable under carpet or mats, do not cover
it and do not lead it through the walking route or along places where
it can be stepped on.
13.This heater gets hot during use.To prevent burns, the hot surfaces
should not be touched with bare skin. Always use the handle / brac-
ket to move the heater. Keep ammable materials such as furniture,
cardboard, paper, clothing and curtains at least one meter from the

worden aangeraakt. Gebruik altijd de handgreep/beugel om de ka-
chel te verplaatsen. Houd brandbare materialen als meubels, karton,
papier, kleding en gordijnen minstens een meter van de voorzijde, en
30 cm. van de zijkanten en de achterzijde van de kachel verwijderd.
14. Een kachel heeft inwendig gloeiende delen. Hij dient niet te wor-
den gebruikt in ruimtes waar dat eventueel gevaar op kan leveren,
zoals opslagplaatsen van lichtontvlambare-, explosieve- of chemi-
sche stoen of in een vochtige omgeving.
15. Deze kachel is uitsluitend bedoeld voor algemeen gebruik.
16. Deze kachel is in principe geschikt voor gebruik in vochtige
ruimtes (IPX4). Plaats hem nooit zodanig dat hij in een badkuip of
wat voor waterbak dan ook kan vallen en zorg ervoor dat hij niet met
waterstralen, spatwater enz. in aanraking kan komen.
17. Gebruik de kachel niet buitenshuis.
WAARSCHUWING:

NEEM ALTIJD DE STEKKER UIT HET STOPCONTACT!
INSTALLATIE
Wanneer u de kachel in gebruik neemt, overtuig u er dan van dat hij
geen zichtbare beschadigingen of defecten vertoond. Plaats de ka-
chel op een stevige, vlakke, horizontale ondergrond van niet-brand-
gevoelig materiaal. Zorg dat de kachel ruimte heeft om aan de
achterzijde lucht aan te zuigen en aan de voorzijde warme lucht uit te
blazen (1 meter). Plaats de kachel niet direct onder het stopcontact.
Zorg voor voldoende vrije ruimte rondom de kachel en plaats de
kachel zodanig dat er niet tegenaan gelopen of gestoten wordt.

wordt er geen warmte afgegeven.
Laag vermogen De ventilator werkt en er wordt ca. 50% warmte
afgegeven.

Traploos instelbare thermostaat.

14. A heater has internally glowing parts. It should not be used in
areas where there is a risk, such as storage facilities for highly am-
mable, explosive or chemical substances or in a humid environment.
15.This heater is intended for general use only.

Never place it in such a way that it can fall into a bathtub or any wa-
ter container and make sure it can not come into contact with water
jets, splash water, etc.
17. Do not use the heater outdoors.
WARNING:
SWITCHING ALL POWER OFF IS INSUFFICIENT FOR PERFOR
MING MAINTENANCE OR MOVING THE HEATER.
ALWAYS REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE SOCKET!
INSTALLATION
When you use the heater, make sure that it does not show visible
damage or defects. Place the heater on a rm, at, horizontal surface
of non-ammable material. Make sure that the heater has room to
draw in air at the rear and blow out warm air at the front (1 meter).
Do not place the heater directly under the socket.
Make sure there is sucient free space around the heater and place
the heater in such a way that people can’t it does not hit or bump
into it.

GEBRUIK
Controleer, voor u de kachel in gebruik neemt, of de bedieningsscha-
kelaar op 0 (uit) staat.Wanneer de kachel voor het eerst in gebruik
wordt genomen, of wanneer u de gewenste temperatuur opnieuw in
wilt stellen, draait u de thermostaatknop op de maximale stand (zo-
ver mogelijk met de klok mee). Overtuig u ervan dat het stopcontact
de juiste stroom afgeeft (zie het typeplaatje op de kachel). Steek nu
de stekker in het stopcontact. U kunt nu middels de bedieningsknop
de kachel in werking stellen.
THERMOSTAAT
De thermostaat houdt de temperatuur vast op het door u gewenste
niveau. Het gewenste niveau wordt ingesteld door de thermostaat-
knop, links op het bedieningspaneel, op de maximale stand te zetten
(de knop zover mogelijk met de klok mee draaien) en vervolgens de
kachel in werking te stellen. Wanneer de temperatuur in de ruimte de
door u gewenste hoogte heeft bereikt, draait u de thermostaatknop
langzaam tegen de klok in tot u een zachte klik hoort; op dit punt
laat u de knop staan. De kachel zal nu automatisch de temperatuur
op dit niveau handhaven. Hij doet dit door de verwarmingselemen-
ten uit- en weer in te schakelen wanneer de temperatuur teveel stijgt
dan wel daalt.
VEILIGHEIDSVOORZIENINGEN
De kachel is uitgevoerd met een oververhittingbeveiliging.Wanneer
de kachel inwendig te heet wordt, zal hij automatisch afslaan. Als dit
gebeurt dient u onmiddellijk de kachel uit te schakelen en de stekker
uit het stopcontact te nemen. Geef de kachel ongeveer tien minuten
de tijd om voldoende af te koelen. Steek nu de stekker weer in het
stopcontact en start de kachel op de normale wijze.
Oververhitting heeft doorgaans een reden. Controleer of de kachel
zijn warmte voldoende kwijt kan: is de kachel niet afgedekt, staat hij
niet te dicht bij een muur of ander obstakel, zijn de roosters aan voor-
en achterzijde vrij en wordt de ventilator niet geblokkeerd?Verhelp
zo mogelijk het probleem of ga er mee naar uw leverancier. Ook wan-
neer u geen oorzaak kunt vinden maar de oververhitting een tweede
keer optreedt dient u het apparaat ter controle en/of reparatie aan te
bieden. Oververhitting kan serieus (brand)gevaar opleveren!
ONDERHOUD
De kachel vraagt slechts een minimum aan onderhoud. Het bin-
nenwerk kan stog worden; zuig het daarom regelmatig uit met
een krachtige stofzuiger, of blaas het binnenwerk schoon met een
compressor.Verwijder daartoe geen roosters maar zuig/blaas er door
heen!
De buitenzijde van de kachel kunt u met een vochtige doek afnemen.
Gebruik geen bijtende reinigingsmiddelen en nooit alcohol of andere
oplosmiddelen bij het reinigen!
Wanneer u de kachel voor langere tijd wilt opruimen pakt u hem
weer in de originele verpakking en zet hem op een droge, stofvrije
plaats.
TECHNISCHE GEGEVENS
USE
Before using the heater, check that the control switch is set to 0 (o).

want to reset the desired temperature, turn the thermostat knob to

the socket supplies the correct current (see rating plate on the hea-
ter). Insert the plug into the socket. You can now operate the heater
using the control knob.
THERMOSTAT
The thermostat keeps the temperature at the desired level.The
desired level is set by setting the thermostat knob on the left side
of the control panel to the maximum position (turning the knob as
far as possible clockwise) and then operating the heater. When the
temperature in the room has reached the desired height, slowly turn
the thermostat knob counterclockwise until you hear a soft click; at
this point you leave the button.The heater will now automatically
maintain the temperature at this level. He does this by switching the
heating elements o and on again when the temperature rises or
falls too much.
SAFETY FEATURES
The heater is equipped with an overheating protection. When the
heater becomes too hot internally, it will automatically switch o.
If this happens, immediately switch o the heater and remove the
plug from the socket. Give the heater about ten minutes to cool
suciently. Now plug in the power cord again and start the heater in
the normal way.
Overheating usually has a reason. Check whether the heater can dis-
sipate its heat suciently: is the heater not covered, is it not too close
to a wall or other obstacle, are the front and rear grids free and the
fan is not blocked? If possible, correct the problem or take it to your
supplier. Even if you can not nd a cause but the overheating occurs a
second time, you must oer the device for inspection and / or repair.
Overheating can cause serious (re) danger!
MAINTENANCE
The heater requires only a minimum of maintenance.The interior can
become dusty; so clean it regularly with a powerful vacuum cleaner,
or clean the interior with a compressor. Do not remove any grids for
this, but suck / blow through!
You can wipe the outside of the heater with a damp cloth. Do not use
caustic cleaning agents and never use alcohol or other solvents when
cleaning!
If you want to store the heater for a longer period of time, take it
again in its original packaging and place it in a dry, dust-free place.

WAARSCHUWINGEN
De KEL-SQ kachels zijn ontworpen voor het verwarmen van ruimtes
als opslagloodsen, werkplaatsen, garageboxen, schuren enz. Ze zijn
niet geschikt voor gebruik buitenshuis.
De kachel staat buitengewoon stabiel. Toch zou een zachte onder-
grond (als een matras), een oneen of niet-horizontale ondergrond
(als onregelmatig straatwerk of een beschadigde vloer) of geweld
van buitenaf tot omvallen van de kachel kunnen leiden. Dit is ge-
vaarlijk! De kachel wordt aan de buitenzijde heet en verspreidt via de
voorzijde warmte; wanneer hij niet rechtop staat of niet voldoende
vrije ruimte om zich heen heeft treedt er brandgevaar op. Zorg dus
altijd voor een stabiele, een en horizontale ondergrond en voldoen-
de vrije ruimte rondom de kachel.
PROBEER NOOIT ZELF HET APPARAAT TE REPAREREN OF TE
ONTMANTELEN!

WARNINGS
The KEL-SQ heaters are designed for heating areas such as storage
sheds, workshops, garage boxes, barns, etc.They are not suitable for
outdoor use.
The heater is extremely stable. Nevertheless, a soft surface (like a

street work or a damaged oor) or violence from outside could lead
to the heater falling over.This is dangerous! The heater is hot on the
