Step 1. IMPORTANT CHECK FIRST!
1. Ensure that you are running the latest software version for your Apple device.
2. The Kenwood systems handbrake cable must be connected and the handbrake must be applied.
3. Before setting up & connecting the MHL lead to the Kenwood system please ensure that your software is up-to-date.

Step 2.
Bluetooth - How to pair your Apple device to the Kenwood system
NB: If you have already paired the device please go to Step 2.
1. Select the [TEL] icon
2. On the Apple device select:
• [SETTINGS]
• [BLUETOOTH]
(Ensure Bluetooth is switched on and stay on this screen)

3. Select the [SETUP] icon 4. Select [ENTER] by “Paired Device List”
5. Select [SEARCH]
NB: If the Kenwood system does not find the Apple
device straight away search again
6. Select your device when the system has completed
searching
7. Select [PAIR] on the Kenwood system and [OK] on
the Apple device. They will now pair please wait while
they sync
8. Select [TEL hardkey] on the Kenwood system to
check to see if the phonebook is paired
NB: Please wait as this may take sometime for your
phonebook to download. The name of your phone will
appear on the top of the screen also

Step 3.
Setting Up the Multimedia System
1. Select [MENU] then [ALL SRC] icon 2. Select the [ARROW DOWN] icon
5. Select the [SETUP] icon 6. Select [SYSTEM] and “APP SETUP” [ENTER]
3. Select the [STANDBY] icon 4. Select [MENU]

7. Select “APP CONNECTION SETUP” [ENTER] 8. Press [CHANGE]
9. Select [Android/Other]
10. Then press [NEXT]
11. Select [HDMI + BT]
12. Then press [NEXT]
13. Select the name of your Apple device.
14. Then press [NEXT]
15. Check all settings are correct and press [DONE]

16. Connect your Apple device with the Kenwood system
(Ensure that your Apple device is unlocked and displaying a home screen).

Rear of System Connection:
• A. Connect the HDMI lead into the HDMI rear socket
• B. Connect up the USB lead
• 2. Connect leads to Apple HDMI to Lightning adaptor

17. Press [MENU] and the [APPS] 18. Press [Agree]
Now you should see the Apple device home screen mirrored on the navigation screen
(If not, unplug the Apple lightning lead to the Apple device and plug in again)
