Deze gebruiksaanwijzing beschrijft de BirdYell-Hand en bevat de instructies die noodzake-
lijk zijn voor gebruik, reinigen en onderhoud. Alleen op deze wijze kan een veilig gebruik,
goede werking en lange levensduur worden gegarandeerd

2 BIRDYELL-HAND
2.1 GEBRUIKSDOEL
Uw BirdYell Hand is ontworpen voor professioneel gebruik door een aangewezen en opge-
leide specialist bij de gebruiker (bij voorkeur intern gecertifi ceerd door de gebruiker).
De BirdYell hand is geschikt om vogels te verjagen met angst en / of alarmkreten van vo-
gels. Vogels in de omgeving van angst of alarm kreten van andere vogels zullen het gebied
willen verlaten*.
De BirdYell-Hand wordt gevoed door type AA batterijen of een12 volt accu.
De BirdYell-Hand heeft bewezen succesvol te zijn in verschillende situaties tegen veel
overlast veroorzakende vogels. Het toestel is effectief bij akker- en tuinbouwpercelen,
graanopslag, veestallen, landgoederen, stortplaatsen en industriële installaties.
Frequent gebruik van de BirdYell-Hand zal ervoor zorgen dat de vogels minder snel
terugkeren.
* Kraaiachtigen, zoals eksters, kauwen, kraaien, roeken zullen in eerste instantie op het
geluid afkomen om te zien waar het vandaan komt.

3 VEILIGHEID
Lees de veiligheidsvoorschriften goed, voordat u de BirdYell-Hand in gebruik neemt.
3.1 VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
De BirdYell-Hand dient u in de hand te nemen als een zaklamp met de geluidstraal
altijd van u afgericht. Richt de geluidsopening NOOIT op een hoofd om gehoor-
beschadiging te voorkomen. Dit geldt ook als u geluidbescherming draagt.
Ingebruikname, bediening en reinigen van de BirdYell-Hand is alleen toegestaan
door opgeleid personeel. “Interne certifi cering” bij de gebruiker is gewenst, om te
voorkomen dat de BirdYell-Hand een gevaar vormt voor de gebruiker en mogelijk
blootgestelde personen.
Zorg dat kinderen niet in aanraking kunnen komen met de BirdYell-Hand.
Berg deze op achter slot en grendel.
3.2 WETGEVING VEILIGHEID
De gebruiker dient altijd de voorschriften van de fabrikant en
de eisen uit het van het ARBO-besluit toe te passen.
3.3 RESTRISICO’S
Er kan ernstige gehoorbeschadiging optreden bij het gebruik van de BirdYell-
Hand, indien men geen adequate gehoorbescherming draagt. De geluidsdruk die
bereikt wordt op een meter afstand van de geluidsopening bij volumestand is ligt
tussen 95 en 107 dBA*
* De meting is uitgevoerd op 1 meter afstand gedurende 5 minuten met een geijk
te geluidsmeter.
Gemeten geluidsniveau’s bij een volumestand van 30, lagen tussen 95,1 en 106,8
dBA.
Opmerking: Er zijn verschillende vogelgeluiden mogelijk.
Indien u andere diergeluiden wenst te laten installeren, neem dan contact op met
uw leverancier.
De BirdYell-Hand dient u in de hand te nemen als een zaklamp met de geluidstraal
altijd van u afgericht. Richt de geluidsopening NOOIT op een hoofd om gehoor-
beschadiging te voorkomen. Dit geldt ook als u geluidbescherming draagt.

4.1 VOORAF
Draag de juiste gehoorbescherming voordat u start met de ingebruikname en
bediening.
4.2 INGEBRUIKNAME EN BEDIENING
Opmerkingen vooraf:
- Alle geluiden zijn voorgeprogrammeerd.
1. Open het batterijcompartiment en plaats 8 AA batterijen in de houder.
Let op de plus (+) in de houder en controleer de plaatsing.
Opmerking: Directe aansluiting op een 12V DC accu is ook mogelijk.
Er wordt dan geen gebruik gemaakt van de AA batterijen.
2. Sluit het batterijcompartiment. De BirdYell-Hand is klaar voor gebruik.
3. Schakel de BirdYell-Hand aan met de OFF/ON knop (1).
4. Op het display ziet u “Welcome” verschijnen.
5. Kies vervolgens met de knoppen “SOUND” (2) het geluid dat u wilt laten
horen. In het display verschijnt de bijbehorende tekst.
Draag de juiste gehoorbescherming voordat u start met de ingebruikname en
bediening.

6. Druk nu op “SELECT” (3) en het toestel zal dit geluid afspelen
7. Het volume kunt u wijzigen met de knoppen “VOL(UME)” Up en down.
Dit gebeurt telkens met 1 volumepunt. Volume 20 is meestal voldoende
voor een goed resultaat.
8. Druk op “SOUND” voor een ander geluid en dan weer op “SELECT”.
Opmerking: De BirdYell-Hand blijft het geselecteerde geluid
afspelen, totdat u deze uitschakelt of weer gaat bedienen.
9. De helderheid van het display is te wijzigen door de knoppen “DISPLAY”
ingedrukt te te houden.
10. Indien toestel niet wordt bediend, na ongeveer 30 seconden gaat de
verlichting van het display uit. Maar het toestel blijft gewoon doorspe-
len. De verlichting gaat weer aan als u de BirdYell-Hand weer gaat be-
dienen.
4.3 ONDERHOUD EN REPARATIE
Onderhoud en reparatie mag uitsluitend worden uitgevoerd door de fabrikant:

Het is niet toegestaan om de BirdYell-Hand te openen.
Reinigen van de BirdYell-Hand is uitsluitend toegestaan met een vochtige doek.
Maak daarbij de BirdYell-Hand spanningsvrij door de batterijen eruit
te nemen en/of de 12V DC verbinding te verbreken.
Onderhoud en reparatie mag uitsluitend worden uitgevoerd door de fabrikant:

Het is niet toegestaan om de BirdYell-Hand te openen.
Maak daarbij de BirdYell-Hand spanningsvrij door de batterijen eruit
te nemen en/of de 12V DC verbinding te verbreken.

2 BIRDYELL-HAND
2.1 INTENDED USE
Your BirdYell-Hand has been specially designed as a professional tool, to be used by a
trained, qualifi ed, and specifi cally designated specialist (preferably certifi ed/authorised
internally at the operator’s organisation).
The BirdYell-Hand device effectively scares birds away by means of panic and/or alarm
shrieks of different bird species. Any birds close to audible panic shrieks of other birds will
instinctively fl ee the area*.
The BirdYell-Hand device can be powered by type AA batteries or a 12 volts vehicle bat-
tery.
The BirdYell-Hand has proven to be successful in many different situations, scaring away all
kinds of nuisance causing birds. The device is effi cient on farm fi elds, horticulture plots, and
cereal storing facilities, cattle stables, country estates, landfi lls and industrial installations.
A frequent usage of the BirdYell-Hand will cause the birds to return less quickly after they
were scared away.
*Corvids, like magpies, jackdaws, crows, and rooks will at fi rst be attracted by these sounds,
to investigate where the sound come from.

3 SAFETY
Before operating the BirdYell-Hand, make sure to carefully read the Safety Instructions.
3.1 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
To operate the BirdYell-Hand, you should hold it as if it were a fl ashlight, always
pointing the sound opening away from yourself. NEVER point the sound opening
towards someone’s head, in order to avoid serious hearing damage. This applies
even when wearing a hearing protection.
Commissioning, operating, and cleaning the BirdYell-Hand is only allowed to
trained and qualifi ed personnel. An “internal certifi cation/authorisation” at the
operator’s organisation is necessary; in order to avoid that the BirdYell-
Hand could be improperly used and be turned into a hazard for the operator and
possibly exposed persons.
NEVER allow that children might touch the BirdYell-Hand device.
ALWAYS store the device in a locked enclosure.
3.2 SAFETY LEGISLATION
The operator should, at all time, observe the manufacturer’s instructions and the
requirements of the local Health & Safety regulations.
3.3 RESIDUAL RISKS
Serious hearing damage might occur when operating the BirdYell-Hand if an ap
propriate hearing protection isn’t used. The sound pressure generated at
a distance of one meter from the sound opening at any volume setting lies
between 95 and 107 dBA*
* Measured during 5 minutes, at a distance of 1 meter with a calibrated
sound measuring device.
At a volume setting of 30, the measured sound pressures were between 95.1 and
106.8 dBA.
Notice: Different bird sounds are available. If you would like to have different
animal sounds installed, please contact your supplier.

4.1 GETTING STARTED

device.
4.2 COMMISSIONING AND OPERATION
Preliminary notice:
– All sounds are preprogramed.
1. Open the battery compartment and insert 8 type AA batteries. Watch
their polarity (+) and correct positioning.
Notice: A direct connection to a 12 VDC vehicle battery is also possible.
In that case, the use of the AA type batteries isn’t necessary.
2. Close the battery compartment. The BirdYell-Hand device is now ready
to be operated.
3. Turn on the BirdYell-Hand device with the OFF/ON switch (1).
4. The message “Welcome” is now displayed on the screen.
5. Use the “SOUND” (2) button to select the sound you want to produce.
A corresponding description is displayed on the screen.
Always use appropriate hearing protection before starting the operation of the
device.

6. Now press the “SELECT” (3) button to confi rm and to have the device
produce the chosen sound.
7. The volume can be changed with the buttons VOL � and VOL �. Each
time you press one of these volume buttons, the sound is incremented or
decremented by one level.
A volume level of 20 usually yields good results.
8. If you want to change the type of sound, press the “SOUND” button,
followed by the “SELECT” button to confi rm.
Notice: The BirdYell-Hand keeps producing the selected sound until
you turn it off or until you operate it again.
9. You can change the display brightness by keeping the “DISPLAY” buttons
pressed a few seconds.
10. If there are no buttons pushed, approximatively 30 seconds, the screen is
disabled.The device itself however, keeps playing the selected sound.
The display is reactivated as soon as you operate the BirdYell-Hand.
4.3 SERVICE AND REPAIRS
Service and repairs can only be performed by the manufacturer:
