1. Preparation
Jack up the motorcycle. You must be able to rotate the rear wheel by hand.
2. Cut lateral cleaning brushes to width of the chain rollers
Mark the brushes at the width of the rollers.

2b. Adjusting
Cut brushes to desired size by with scissors and install into lower tank.
At an easily accessible point, connect upper and lower tank over the chain and secure with O-ring/clip.

4. Hanging in KettenMax
On one side, hang the hook (large) at an easily accessible place on the frame, footrest or kickstand
(depending on the type of motorcycle) and on the other side (hook small) in the hanging perforation on
the KettenMax, aligning it with the chain. Connect both hooks with the cord..
5. Cleaning the chain
Connect the bottle to the KettenMax unit and squeeze the bottle to apply a controlled dose of cleaning
agent. At the same time, slowly turn the rear wheel (the chain will be drawn through the KettenMax) to
ensure gentle overall cleaning.

4. Lubricating the chain
Before lubricating, unscrew the cleaner bottle and close with the original cap. Disconnect the hoses
from the KettenMax. Let the chain dry for about 3 to 5 minutes.
Put the lubricating adaptor on the upper nozzle connection on the KettenMax (chain outgoing side).
Spray in the lubricant in steps. Rotate the rear wheel slowly (2 x chain runs per minute). The lubricant
accurately coats the important inner side of the chain and is evenly distributed by brushes.
Contaminated cleaning solution and any excess lubricant must be drained into a container and
appropriately disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
IMPORTANT!
Never rotate the rear wheel when the motor is running and a gear engaged! After completion of
cleaning and lubrication, remove hanging hooks (hanging cord) and KettenMax.
