AUTOMATIC, hich is a very high-quality atch, crafted in S itzerland. This KHS
MISSIONTIMER 3 AUTOMATIC atch offers you high-calibre precision ith highest-quality
materials and components as ell as ruggedness against shocks, variations in temperatures,
ater and dust.

many years to come, e advise you to pay very careful attention to the advice provided in
this user's manual. Please read the instructions pertaining specifically to your
KHS MISSIONTIMER 3 AUTOMATIC on the follo ing pages.
GT S – Gaseous Tritium ight Sources | Triglights
This KHS MISSIONTIMER 3 AUTOMATIC is equipped ith the best GTLS currently available on
the market and hich are made by the S iss firm mb-microtec. GTLS are minute,
hermetically sealed glass vials that have a fluorescent coating on the inside. They contain a
small amount of gaseous tritium. The electrons emitted by the tritium gas permanently excite
the fluorescent coating.
GTLS hich come from the market leader mb-microtec have a longevity of 20 years or more.
Although the initial brightness of the light sources is affected by a variety of factors, a certain
decrease in brightness is unavoidable over time, ho ever. The so-called half-life of tritium is
some hat more than 12 years. After this period elapses, the brightness is noticeably less, but
substantially higher than that of conventionally illuminated atches.
GTLS and all other electronic atch components must al ays disposed of ithin the
frame ork of existing legislation. If you ant disposed of your KHS MISSIONTIMER 3
AUTOMATIC, please contact your authorised KHS dealer or your relevant KHS Service Center.
Screwed Crown
To ensure maximum ater tightness, this KHS MISSIONTIMER 3 AUTOMATIC atch is
designed ith a scre ed cro n. The cro n must be scre ed out in order to set the time or
date and then scre ed back in.
Unscre ing the cro n:
Turn the cro n counterclock ise, until
you can feel that it is unscre ed. The
cro n is no in the neutral position
and can be pulled out to set the time
and/or date.
1) Starting position ,
scre ed on tightly, not pulled out.
2) Neutral positon,
unscre ed , not pulled out.
Closing the crown:
Push the cro n back to the neutral
position. No turn the cro n clock ise
hile applying a little pressure, until it
is scre ed tight.

IMPORTANT: After every time you change the time or date, make sure that the cro n is
scre ed back in to ensure that the atch remains atertight. Under no circumstances
should you ever use force or tools to unscre the cro n or scre it back in place!
Watertightness
Your KHS MISSIONTIMER 3 AUTOMATIC is atertight up to 20 ATM. For that reason, your
atch is suited, of course, for diving, snorkeling, s imming, bathing, car ashing, sho ering
or any other contact ith ater.
To make sure that your KHS MISSIONTIMER 3 AUTOMATIC remains atertight, e
recommend you to take it to an authorised KHS dealer to have them check all the seals and
the crystal periodically. We also advise you to have the battery replaced every 2 years (e.g.
directly ith the battery replacement recommended by us).
Do NOT allo your KHS MISSIONTIMER 3 AUTOMATIC to come in contact ith chemicals. In
order to ensure that your atch remains fully functional for a long time, you should protect
your atch from extreme temperatures and vibrations.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the cro n is scre ed tight before allo ing your atch to come
in contact ith ater. The cro n may not be actuated, hen the atch is immersed in ater
or still et. After use in salt ater, you should rinse your atch thoroughly using fresh ater
and then allo it to dry completely.
Automatic Movement
This KHS MISSIONTIMER 3 AUTOMATIC has a self- inding clock ork hose mainspring is
ound automatically by the natural motion of the earer's arm, making it unnecessary to
manually ind the atch. Alternatively, your KHS MISSIONTIMER 3 AUTOMATIC can also be
ound up ith the cro n. According to the manufacturer, the built-in po er reserve for a
completely ound clock ork is at least 36 hours, ith an accuracy of -6 and +20 seconds a
day.
The accuracy primarily depend on factors that one cannot influence, such as fluctuating
temperatures, changing air pressure conditions, jarring or shaking of the atch, irregular
inding or soiling. All these factors can result in changes to the accuracy. The accuracy can
especially fluctuate during the first t o months of ear.
After 50 to 60 days of regular ear, the accuracy generally steadies so that the actual atch
speed can be measured and adjusted by a specialist. If a atch is previously adjusted, it is
possible that its accuracy ill have to be corrected .
