Kinetronics SV-4400U User manual

Thank you for purchasing your new StaticVac®film cleaning machine. It will
provide years of effective operation if three simple maintenance procedures are
followed.
Begin by connecting the cord from the transformer to the machine and plugging
the machine into a GROUNDED (three wire) outlet. If an extension cord is
necessary be sure to use a GROUNDED type. Failure to properly ground your
machine may result in damage to the machine or other electronic equipment.
Place the StaticVac as close as possible to the printer or projection gate for the
best performance. You will find eight (8) small magnets located in the plastic
bag Each magnet has foam
adhesive tape for mounting
to your printer. Use four (4)
for mounting if printing front
to back and four (4) for
mounting if you are printing
left to right or right to left.
The on/off switch is located
on top of the machine and
when pressed “red” will
show on the switch and the
“green” LED indicator will
light. The machine can be
run continuously during
normal operation and need
not be turned off when not
in use.

MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES PARTS LIST

These steps are VERY important to the proper
performance of your machine. These procedures should
be performed every week.
At least four times a year remove the four (4) cleaning brushes. There are two (2)
screws which hold each brush in place. Wash in a gentle shampoo, rinse, comb wet
brush straight and let air dry. (DO NOT USE ELECTRIC HAIR DRYER, IT WILL
DAMAGE THE BRUSH.) When replacing the brushes, rotate brushes like the tires
on you car. You will notice the upper brushes have oversized mounting holes which
allow adjustment of the brush tension. Mount the lower brushes before installing
the upper brushes. The position of the upper brush should just “contact” the
lower brush.
Wipe off the emitter pins located under the
lid. To do this TURN POWER OFF. Loosen screw
on lid and lift lid, use a cotton swab or soft cloth
to remove any dust or dirt that has accumulated
on both pins. Care should be taken as these pins
are very sharp.
Remove the filter retainer in the rear of the
machine by pulling the special tab. Remove the
white foam H.E.P.A. filter. Replace or wash the
filter in water. Place the filter retainer in the bottom
and “snap” the top into place.
Vacuum or blow out brushes to remove
debris and dirt trapped or lodged in the brushes.
TURN POWER OFF. Loosen screw on lid and lift.
Vacuum inside of machine carefully to remove any
loose materials.
