1Intended Use 2Product description
a. Indications
When breastfeeding is not possible or insufficient, the breast pump assists mothers
in breastfeeding so that the baby can still benefit from their breast milk.
The breast pump operates at different stages of lactation: upon the first use, it helps
to stimulate lactation and, afterwards, helps to sustain it in the long run.
There are many reasons why women express their milk:
- medical reasons: engorgement, mastitis, prematurity or neonatal pathologies,
- when breastfeeding is impossible or difficult: cracks, inverted nipples, painful
breastfeeding,
- initiation and maintenance of lactation,
- the temporary cessation of breastfeeding for treatment incompatible with
breastfeeding,
- building up milk reserves in the event of the mother’s temporary absence,
- resumption of work for mothers who wish to continue feeding their babies.
b. Contraindications and adverse effects
There are no known contraindications to the use of the MINIKIT SOLO electric
breast pump.
The MINIKIT SOLO breast pump is a personal electric pump. It can be used in case
of temporary separation or any other reason making breastfeeding impossible or
not sufficient.
Easy to carry and simple to use, it is ideal for active mothers.
The MINIKIT SOLO pump operates in simple mains or battery operated pump
operation. Thanks to its 5 setting levels, it tends to reproduce the feeding physiology:
the mother experiences the stimulation and expression phases.
All KOLOR®breast shield sizes connect to the breast pump. The mother can thus
have a suitable sized breast shield for her breast morphology to provide optimal
comfort for an effective, long-lasting breastfeeding experience.
The MINIKIT SOLO breast pump is equipped with the «Clean Valve» technology
which limits the risk of bacterial contamination through the fingers on parts in
contact with breast milk.

b. Selecting the breast shield size
The MINIKIT SOLO breast pump is used with the KIT EXPRESSION KOLOR®. A breast
shield is included in the MINIKIT SOLO standard Breast Pump package.
The KOLOR®breast shield is available in 4 inner diameters and 2 «comfort» sizes
that adapt perfectly to the breast morphology and guarantee a high level of comfort.
•4 inner diameters: 4 colour codes •2 comfort sizes:
S = 76 mm et L = 90 mm

and disinfecting accessories
• Before using for the first time and after each use:
a. Cleaning
- Rinse all the parts in contact with the milk in cold water, then clean
with hot and soapy water.
- Rinse all parts. Assemble the two parts of the valve: the diaphragm
on the intermediate ring (making sure that the valve is nested in
the ring). Assemble the three parts making up the protective
membrane. Check that the white diaphragm is correctly positioned
in its housing (press down on the edges to ensure a good seal
around the membrane)
- Allow to air dry on a paper towel.
Note: It is best to clean all parts in contact with breast milk
immediately after using the breast pump. This facilitates cleaning
and avoids the development of bacteria.
• Before first use and regularly during use:
b. Disinfecting at home
Disinfect all parts in boiling water (10 minutes minimum), in a
dishwasher or in a microwave steriliser. *
*Refer to the manufacturer’s data for the microwave sterilizer and do not exceed 1000 Watt.
Note: If disinfection takes place in boiling water and your water is hard, you
can add a few drops of white vinegar (2 or 3 drops) to avoid deposits on the
walls of the parts.
• Special case: If condensation appears in the pipe or when milk enters inside, rinse
the tubing to remove liquid residue.

KOLOR®breast shields are guaranteed BPA and Phthalate free.
They are reusable for as long as the breast pump is used. The breast shield is a one-piece
which favors an optimized hygiene, and makes it possible not to touch the thread nor the
internal parts of the feeding collection container and the breast shield.
Measurements:
Measurement should be taken after breastfeeding or expressing your milk. Alternatively,
“when at rest”, add an extra 2mm to your nipple measurement to select the correct
inner diameter size.
The nipple should not feel too constricted neither too free. You should see space around
your nipple in order to let it move easily in the funnel during pumping.
- If the breast shield is too tight: lesions, compressed ducts
- if the breast shield is too wide: less milk will be expressed
A correct comfort size (external S or L comfort shape) will improve breast pump
(optimal airtightness).

4Use
a. Breast pump operation
The MINIKIT SOLO breast pump operates on batteries or mains.
Operation by mains:
• Make sure that the voltage of the adapter matches the voltage of the power source.
• Connect the mains cable to the breast pump through the hole provided.
• Then plug the AC adapter into the electrical outlet.
Note: Check whether the mains plug for the power supply is suitable for the
wall outlet.
Battery operation:
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the device. The unit operates with 4
LR6 1.5V alkaline batteries. Insert them according to the diagrams indicated in the
box. Close the compartment before switching on the appliance.
• The battery-operated MINIKIT SOLO breast pump has an operation range of
approximately 30 minutes (2 to 3 expression sessions).
Special cases:
• The batteries must not be removed when the unit is connected to the mains.
• Check the batteries in the compartment regularly.
• Replace the batteries when the performance of the breast pump is reduced.
• If the device is not used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries from

b. Preparation of accessories
➊ Wash your hands with hot, soapy water before handling the
breast pump parts.
➋ Position the collection container directly onto the
transparent «Clean Valve» (the valve must be on a flat
and clean surface). In order to respect hygiene, both parts
of the valve have been assembled after cleaning: white
membrane and transparent intermediate ring (see chapter
3). If necessary, take care to handle the «Clean Valve» by
the rim (taking care not to touch parts that may be contact
with breast milk).
The innovative technology of
the «Clean Valve», exclusive to
KITETT®, prevents the risk of
contamination through contact
with fingers in the breast shield.
➌ Screw the KITETT Kolor®breast shield with the valve onto the
collection container.
➍ Connect the small tubing connected to the protective
membrane to the breast shield. Place the assembled
breast pump on the collection container stand for optimal
stability.
➎ Then connect the white connector of the large tubing to
the device.

Suction is activated. A time counter is displayed to allow
you to track the duration of the expression session.
➍ The MINIKIT SOLO breast pump operates with 5 setting
levels that are gradually displayed on the right and left
corner of the display screen.
➎ To move from one level to another, press the +or -
buttons.
•Levels 1 and 2 correspond to the stimulation phase.
(fast rate, low suction). When first starting to use the device,
it is necessary to start with this stimulation phase in order
to stimulate the arrival of the milk and to activate the milk
ejection reflex. This phase should last about 2 min.
