Prior to first
and after
each use
• Use drinking water quality for any of the following described
cleaning procedures.
• Clean parts immediately after each use to prevent milk resi-
dues from drying up and to avoid bacterial growth!
• Disassemble all parts prior to cleaning. Make sure to remove
the yellow valve head (part no. 810.0475) from the connector
and separate the white valve membrane (part no. 820.7013)
from the valve head.
• Hand wash and rinse all disassembled parts of your pump kit
that come into contact with the breast and breast milk (i.e.
parts b+c+e+f+g+k+l+m) in hot, soapy water using a detergent
till all visual residues are removed.
• Air-dry parts or dry with a clean towel.
• Use damp (not wet) cloth to wipe the motor unit or handle
after each use.
• Optionally, boil disassembled parts for 5 minutes in a saucepan
filled with water (with an optional tea spoon of citric acid) or
steam - or microwave - sterilize.
Tubing care Inspect the tubing after each pumping session. If condensation
appears or if milk accidentally gets into the tubing turn off the pump
and unplug from power source. Remove the tubing and clean it
according to the instructions «Prior to first and after each use».
Shake water droplets out and hang up to air-dry.

Hygiene Note: Never use creams, oils or lotions when breastpump-
ing. This can cause damage to the breastshield and
may contaminate the breastmilk.
• For the treatment of dry/sore nipples we recommend the use
of Purelan.
• If creams, oils or lotions are used, clean the breast and sur-
rounding area before every pumping session.
• Do not use soap or alcohol which can dry the skin and cause
cracked nipples.
• Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before touching
the breast and pump parts.
• Avoid touching the inside of bottles and lids.
• Store parts in clean zip lock bag or store in a container with lid
or alternatively wrap parts in a clean paper or cloth towel.
• Replace breastshield if it shows any sign of wear.
