1. Intended use
a. Indications
In cases where breastfeeding is insufficient or impossible, breast pumps help mothers to ensure their babies always
have the benefit of breast milk.
Breast pumps can be used at different stages of milk production. At the beginning, they can help to stimulate the
production of milk and later, help to maintain long-term production.
The MINIKIT DUO mini breast pump is designed to be used by breastfeeding women to extract their breast milk. It helps
to relieve mastitis and engorgement and facilitates healing. It also provides relief for cracked painful nipples or when
breastfeeding is difficult or even impossible (inverted or painful nipples, etc.). Furthermore, it enables mothers to feed
their baby with breast milk if it cannot be fed directly on the breast (prematurity or neonatal pathologies (e.g. cleft
palate), difficulty with the baby suckling, etc.). Finally, it permits the initiation or maintenance of milk production,
especially in the event of treatment that is incompatible with breastfeeding.
b. Contra-indications and adverse effects
There are no known contraindications to the use of the MINIKIT DUO electric breast pump. A risk of allergy to the
materials used (thermoplastic elastomer, colourants) with the part of the body in contact with the breast shield is
possible.
2. Product description
The MINIKIT DUO breast pump is a personal electric pump. It may be used to supplement an electric breast pump, in
cases of temporary separation or for any other reason making breastfeeding insufficient or impossible.
Easy to transport and simple to use, it is ideal for active mothers.
It can be used inside or outside the home (e.g. at work, etc.).
The MINIKIT DUO breast pump operates in single or double pumping mode on mains or battery power. It can be used
worn on the body using the belt clip.
Thanks to its setting levels, it tends to reproduce the physiology of feeding: the mother experiences the stimulation and
expression phases.
All KOLOR® breast shield sizes connect to the breast pump. The mother can thus have a suitable sized breast shield for
her breast morphology to provide optimal comfort for an effective, long-lasting breastfeeding experience.
The MINIKIT DUO breast pump is equipped with “Clean Valve” technology which limits the risk of bacterial
contamination from fingers onto the parts in contact with the breast milk.

7
b. Selecting the breast shield size
The MINIKIT DUO breast pump is used with the KOLOR® KIT EXPRESSION. A breast shield is included in the MINIKIT DUO
breast pump pack.
The KOLOR® breast shield is available in 4 inner diameters and 2 “comfort” sizes, that adapt perfectly to the breast
morphology and guarantee a high level of comfort.
- 4 inner diameters: 4 colour codes - “comfort” sizes: S = 76 mm and L = 90 mm
-The Kolorama size ruler: - The KOLORYOU® application available for free download:
KOLOR® breast shields are guaranteed Phthalate and BPA free.
For optimal hygiene, breast shields are a single unit, to avoid touching the screw thread of the collection container or
the internal parts of the collection container and the shield.
Measurement:
Measurements should be taken after breastfeeding or expressing your milk. Alternatively, “when at rest”, add an extra
2mm to your nipple measurement to select the correct inner diameter size.
The nipple should not be too constricted or too free. You should see space around your nipple in order to let it move
easily in the funnel during pumping. An inappropriate size can cause lesions, pain and reduce the amount of milk
extracted.

8
Having an appropriate “comfort” size (size S or L) improves the compression obtained with the breast pump (better seal).
3. Cleaning and disinfecting
a. Cleaning and maintening the device
Only external parts of the device are to be cleaned. This is done with a clean, damp cloth.
b. Cleaning the accessories
Accessories concerned:
1. Breast shield
2. Valve
3. Protective membrane
4. Collection container
5. Cap
Before first use and after each use:
•Disassemble each accessory, particularly all the parts of the valve and the protective membrane.
•Rinse all parts in contact with milk and the parts of the protective membrane in cold water (around 20°C).
•Next, clean in hot, soapy water.
•Rinse all the parts.
1. For the valve: Assemble the membrane on the intermediate ring (making sure that the valve is nested in the ring).
2. For the protective membrane: Assemble the 3 parts of the protective membrane. Check that the white membrane
is correctly positioned in its housing (press down on the edges to ensure a good seal around the entire edge of the
membrane).
3. Reconnect the small tube to the protective membrane.
Allow to air dry on a paper towel or a clean cloth.
Repeat the operation on the second membrane and the second valve when using in double pumping mode.
NOTES:
•It is best to clean all parts in contact with breast milk immediately after use. This facilitates cleaning and prevents
growth of bacteria.
•If condensation appears in the small tube of the protective membrane or when milk enters inside, rinse the tube to
remove liquid residues.
•The protective membrane prevents any ingress of liquid into the tubing (long and intermediate) and into the device.
It is therefore important to clean it as soon as it is soiled.
WARNINGS:
•The tubing between the protective membrane and the selector and the
tubing between the selector and the device must not be cleaned or
disinfected. Water could remain in the tubing and damage the device.
•The selector must not be cleaned.

9
c. Disinfecting accessories (at home)
Accessories concerned:
1. Breast shield
2. Valve
3. Protective membrane
4. Collection container
5. Cap
For term babies (without medical problems), disinfect before first use and once a day.
For premature babies or those with a weakened immune system, disinfect before first use and after each use.
•Disinfect all parts in boiling water (10 minutes), in the dishwasher or in a microwave steriliser. *
*Refer to the manufacturer’s data for the microwave sterilizer and do not exceed 1000 Watt.
•Allow to dry on a paper towel or on a clean cloth.
NOTES:
•Where intensive disinfection is used (premature babies or those with a weakened immune system), boiling water is
the only method that guarantees an optimal lifespan of the accessories.
•If disinfection takes place in boiling water and your water is hard, you can add a few drops of white vinegar (2 or 3
drops) to avoid deposits on the walls of the parts.
•If disinfection is performed in a dishwasher, the plastic parts may be discoloured by food pigments. This does not
impair their functioning.
•Check the condition of the breast shields regularly during use, cleaning and disinfection.

case, replace them.
•All components must be completely dry before use.
Before first use, refer to Chapter 3 for cleaning and disinfection.
1. Wash your hands in soapy water before handling breast pump components.
2. Position the collection container directly onto the transparent “Clean Valve” (the valve must be placed on a flat,
clean surface).
In order to respect hygiene, both parts of the valve have been assembled during cleaning: white membrane and
transparent intermediate ring (see chapter 3).
If necessary, take care to handle the «Clean Valve» by the rim (taking care not to touch parts that may be contact
with breast milk). The innovative technology of the «Clean Valve», exclusive to KITETT®, prevents the risk of
contamination through contact with fingers in the breast shield.
3. Screw the KOLOR® breast shield with the valve onto the collection container.
4. Connect the small tube connected to the protective membrane to the breast shield. Connect the intermediate-
size tube to the protective membrane and to the selector. Place the assembled breast pump on the collection
container stand for optimal stability.
5. Then connect the large tube of the selector to the device.
6. When using in single pumping mode, position the selector switch to the right or the left according to the breast
chosen for expression. When using in double pumping mode, position the selector switch in the middle.
Repeat the operation on the second breast shield when using in double pumping mode.
WARNING: Never use the breast pump in single pumping mode without connecting the selector.

11
c. Using the breast pump
1. Place the breast shield correctly over your breast ensuring the milk
can flow freely into the collection container.
2. Ensure your nipple is centred inside the funnel. The flexible part of
the breast shield must also be properly positioned on your breast to
ensure a complete seal.
3. Check that the selector is in the right position when using in single
or double pumping mode before starting.
4. Activate the breast pump by pressing the button .
By default, the breast pump starts in single pumping mode.
To use in double pumping mode, press the central button to choose "double pumping" mode. When you are
in "single puping" mode, "dots" light up on the right. If you are in "double pumping ode", "drops" light up on the
left.
Suction is activated. A time counter is displayed to allow you to track the duration of the stimulation and expression
sessions.
5. The MINIKIT DUO breast pump operates with several setting levels that are displayed progressively on the right or
left of the display screen. To move from one level to another, press the ⊕or ⊝buttons.
Levels 1 to 4 correspond to the stimulation phase (fast rate, low suction):
When starting, it is necessary to begin with this stimulation phase in order to stimulate the arrival of the milk and
to activate the milk let-down reflex. This phase should last about 2 min. Level 1 automatically switches to level 2
after 45 seconds; level 2 automatically switches to level 3 after 90 seconds; level 3 automatically switches to level
4 after 135 seconds and level 4 automatically switches to level 5 after 180 seconds. If the first drops of milk begin
to flow more quickly, press the ⊕ button to go directly to level 5 in the expression phase.
Levels 5 to 9 correspond to the expression phase (with an increasingly slower speed, the suction power becomes
stronger): upon the arrival of the milk and for optimal collection, adjust the position to your convenience according
to the comfort felt. Milk expression is optimal at the level of maximum compression and is not painful for the
mother.
At any time in the expression cycle, you can press the ⊝button to go back to the lower setting level.
Be sure to check that milk is flowing properly inside the collection container.
6. After expressing the milk, switch off the breast pump by pressing the button.
WARNINGS:
•Check that the position of the selector corresponds to the "single" or "double pumping" mode on the device.
•Check regularly during use of the breast pump that the membrane is positioned correctly in its housing.
NOTES:
•The MINIKIT DUO breast pump stops automatically after 30 minutes of expression.
•Always unplug the device from the mains after use.
•Do not fill the collection container above the mark.
•Be careful not to bend the tubing during use.
•The breast pump can be used clipped to a belt or to trousers if necessary (battery operation only).
d. After each use
1. Disconnect the tubing from the breast shield and then unscrew
the breast shield from the collection container.
2. Remove the transparent «Clean Valve».

12
Use the collection container stand to avoid any risk of upsetting
the collection container.
3. Secure the cap onto the collection container.
4. Disconnect the long tube of the MINIKIT DUO breast pump.

1. Применение по назначению
2. Описание изделия
MINIKIT DUO -
