SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Regularly check nuts and bolts attaching the shower tent to your vehicle to
make sure fastenings are tight and in good condition.
• If using a commercial car wash, remove the shower tent and xtures to avoid
damage.
• Do not use the shower tent or travel cover to hoist, lift or support yourself.
• It is important when mounting to a vehicle, that the mounting brackets
supplied are adequately spaced to support the weight of the shower tent.
• Products applied to a vehicle roof will alter vehicle handling. The
manufacturer disclaims all responsibility in relation to accidents due to
improper use, incorrect maintenance, or negligence in maintaining
fastening hardware.
• If pitching in windy conditions it is advised to nd a less exposed location.
Park the vehicle so the shower tent is protected from the wind. Ensure guy
ropes are pegged out correctly. Be aware of dropping branches and other
potential hazards. Collapse the shower tent in strong winds.
• Keep hands free of the pivoting hinge when opening and closing the
shower tent.
• Never drive with the shower tent erected.

1. Slide four hexagonal head bolts into the channel found on
the back side of the shower tent (two on the top and two on
the bottom). Measure the distance required between each
bracket; this will vary depending on your roof rack.
Tip - Evenly space the L-Brackets for maximum support.
Ensure the shower tent is set to a height that is clear of
car doors.
2. With the desired distance between the L-brackets found,
fit the L-bracket in place. Add the M6 self-locking nuts
and loosely tighten. Repeat with the second L-bracket.
3. Slide two (or four) T-bolts into each roof rack. Orientate
the T-bolt base for the best fit.
4. Carefully lift the shower tent into position. Line up the
T-bolts to the L-brackets. Once aligned, add the washers
and nuts and fully tighten.
Tip - It is recommended to take a short drive after attaching
fixtures. Check on return to see if any further tightening of
brackets is necessary. Check fixtures regularly during use.

Your Tuatara Shower Tent includes:

2 x heavy-duty L-brackets
4 x T-bolt sets (M8 bolts, self-locking nuts and washers)
8 x M6 bolts (hexagon head)
8 x M6 self-locking nuts
2 x guy ropes
6 x pegs (4 x 5mm, 2 x 7mm)
1 x shower hook
1 x 10mm ratchet spanner

PITCHING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Unzip the travel cover and fold it out of the way. Release
the compression straps and carefully unroll.
2. Pull out the top arm until the hinge clicks into place.
Repeat with the second arm.
3. Adjust the height by tightening the webbing straps
located on the top corners of the tent body.
4. Peg out all four corners with the 5mm pegs. Peg out
the two guy ropes with the 7mm pegs and tighten the
tri-tensioners to ensure the shower tent remains securely
anchored.
5. Feed the shower hook into the vertical hole at the top of
the frame. Attach your shower bladder or showerhead
(up to 20 kg weight limit).
Tip - Insert pegs at a 45º angle to ensure the pegs won’t
pull out.
1. Carefully remove pegs, roll up the guy ropes, remove excess soil from the pegs and
store them in their bag.
2. Release the webbing straps.
3. To collapse the shower, release the hinge lever. First, fold in the bottom arm and then
the top arm.
4. Tightly roll up the shower tent (with peg bag secured inside) and secure the
compression straps.
5. Fold back the travel cover and zip to close.

1. Mildew damage of any kind is not covered by our warranty. Should mildew spots appear,
brush them off before they become attached. Fully dry the shower tent before storing
away for any length of time. DO NOT use excess force or other harsh tools to remove
soilage from your shower tent.
2. Like all assets, poly-oxford requires regular care and attention to give the life and
service expected. Regular cleaning with an abundance of clean water and a soft brush,
especially after exposure to salt water will preserve your shower tents life. Do not allow
bird droppings, earth or vegetable matter to remain in contact with the fabric. NEVER
USE SOAPS OR DETERGENTS.
3. Poly-oxford is not fire proof, if exposed to flame or high heat sources it can ignite and
burn. Always take care when using spirit or gas appliances such as stoves and lanterns
near your shower tent.
4. Some products contain chemicals, which can destroy your shower tents proofing and
cause it to leak. Avoid using aerosol sprays and keep petrol, oil, solvents and other
similar fluids away from the fabric. Do not use these inside or around your shower tent
as any damage caused by these is not covered by our warranty.
5. Extra pegs and ropes are recommended in stormy conditions. Please note, wind
damage is not covered by our warranty. Check and adjust guy ropes and pegs daily.
6. Poly-oxford is not 100% colourfast and some fading will occur naturally, however;
this does not affect the performance of the fabric. Do not leave your shower tent up
and unattended for extended periods of time. Shower tents are guaranteed for normal
camping use only.
7. Check all fixtures regularly and tighten when necessary.

WARRANTY INFORMATION
The warranty period for this shower tent is found on the packaging and full details
are on the Kiwi Camping website - www.kiwicamping.co.nz.
The original purchaser of this product is offered a warranty if during this time period the product fails due to a fault
in either materials or workmanship. Service under this warranty is available by returning the product, with your
proof of purchase, to where it was purchased. If after inspection it is determined that the product is defective, we
will repair or replace it (at our discretion) free of charge. This warranty does not cover misuse, damage caused by
accident, storm or wind damage, mildew, neglect, UV degradation and fair wear and tear. Please note, the warranty
on this shower tent will be deemed void if the product is used for any purpose other than a temporary shelter. If
the claim is not deemed a warranty or is outside it’s warranty period, we can repair the product at a nominal cost.
