HD101 Throw Distance
Thank you for choosing Knöll projectors! The HD101 is multipurpose DLP projector with a igital
light processing chips to give bright clear images an isplay movies in a format similar to the one
they were filme in. Its manual lens allows for a limite amount of zooming (1:1.2).
The Knöll CM10 ceiling mount kit is easy to install an swivels for exact placement. It rops the
projector about 3" an the projector lens is about 6" from the ceiling. If more of a rop is nee e ,
the CM20+6 exten er a s an extra 6" rop. As many CM20+6 can be a e as nee e .
The most frequently aske questions concerning DLP projectors are:
How much can the projector be tilted down (when ceiling mounting) or up (when floor
mounted)?
About 20 egrees. The HD101 has a igital a justable keystone but for best overall image the
HD101 projector shoul i eally be level if the screen is vertical (which is usually the case).
Is the width of the 4 3 image the same as the 16 9 image?
It epen s. In the 16:9 mo e, if the aspect ratio is switche to 4:3 then the height stays the same
an the wi th is narrower. If the 16:9 mo e is selecte , then the wi th of the 4:3 is the same but
the height increases to 600 pixels (lines) instea of the 450 lines in the 16:9 mo e. There are some
igital wi th a justments in the HD101. Depen ing on the screen type you have an the image
isplaye there may be black rectangular boxes above an below or besi e the image.
Projection throw istances are the maximum an minimum horizontal istances
from the projector lens to the screen. If the projector is mounte level (this is
strongly recommen e ) the image will rop (ceiling mounte projector) or rise
(floor mounte projector).
