SAFETY INFORMATION
• Do not direct the area light beam at persons or animals and do not stare into the area
light beam yourself (not even from a distance). Avoid direct eye exposure. The area
light can cause ash blindness.
• Do not use the area light in road trafc. The cordless area light is not approved for
illumination in road trafc.
• Disconnect the battery pack from the area light before making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing power tools, etc.
• Do not permit children to use the area light; it is not a toy. Children can
unintentionally blind themselves or other persons.
• The lens gets very hot during use. To reduce the risk of burns, do not touch hot lens.
To reduce the risk of re, keep away from combustible materials while in operation.
• Recharge only with the charger specied by the manufacturer. A charger that is
suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of re when used with another
battery pack.
• Use only with specically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs
may create a risk of injury and re.
• When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like paper
clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects, that can make a
connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may
cause burns or a re.
• The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such as nails or screwdrivers or by
force applied externally. An internal short circuit can occur, and the battery can burn,
smoke, explode or overheat.
• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If
contact accidentally occurs, ush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
• The area light is ruggedly constructed. It should, however, be handled with care.
• Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons
unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
• Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

PREPARATION
Know Your Area Light
Before attempting to use the area light, familiarize yourself with all of its operating features
and safety requirements.
WARNING
• Do not allow familiarity with the tool to cause carelessness. Remember that one careless
moment is enough to cause severe injury. Before attempting to use any tool, be sure to
become familiar with all of the operating features and safety instructions.
• Do not attempt to modify this tool or create accessories not recommended for use with this
tool. Any such alteration or modication is misuse and could result in a hazardous condition
leading to possible serious personal injury.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. To Attach Battery Pack
a. Align the raised portion on the battery pack
with the grooves on the bottom of the tool, then
slide the battery pack onto the tool, as shown.
b. Make sure that the battery-release buttons
on the battery pack snap into place and the
battery pack is secured to the tool before
beginning operation.
NOTICE: When placing the battery pack on the
tool, be sure that the raised rib on the battery pack
aligns with the groove on the tool and the latches
snap into place properly. Improper assembly of
the battery pack can cause damage to internal
components.
To Detach Battery Pack
a. Press the battery-release buttons to release the battery pack.
b. Pull forward on the battery pack to remove it from the tool.
WARNING
• Battery tools are always in operating condition. Therefore, always turn off the area light and
remove the battery when the area light is not in use or when carrying it at your side.
2. ON/OFF Switch
a. To turn the area light ON, press the ON/OFF
switch (D). The area light will be turned on at
maximum brightness and 360°area.
b. To reduce the brightness, press the ON/OFF
switch again.
c. To turn it OFF, press the ON/OFF switch third
time.
WARNING
• Do not continue to press the ON/OFF switch
after the area light has been automatically
switched off. The battery can be damaged.
SOS mode
a. The area light will switch to SOS mode (blinking rapidly) when long press the ON/OFF
switch.
b. To quit the SOS mode, press either the ON/OFF switch or the area switch. It will back to
the mode before.

3. Area Switch
a. Press the ON/OFF switch (D) to turn the area
light on.
b. When the area light is rst turned ON, it will be
set at maximum brightness and 360°area.
c. To reduce the bright area, press the area
switch once.
d. To go back to 360°area, press the area switch
again.
4. Carry Hook
a. The area light is equipped a carry hook (A).
The area light can be carried or fastened to an
object with the carry hook.
b. To release the carry hook, press the lock button
(B) and lift the carry hook. It can rotate 360°.
c. To store the carry hook when it is not in use,
press down on the carry hook until it locks in
the area light with a “click” signal.

5. Installing and Removing the Belt Clip
a. Align the rib of the belt clip (G) with the hole on
the base of the area light.
b. Tighten the screw (H) securely with a Phillips
screwdriver (not included).
c. To remove the belt clip with bit holder, use a
Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw holding
the belt clip to the area light.
6. USB port
When a battery pack is installed and the area light
is turned on, the USB port on the area light can
provide a 5 Volt DC, up to 2 Amp charging site for
your cell phone or other small USB device.
The area light and USB device should be placed
onto a at surface during operation or can be hung
using the carry hook on the area light.
a. Attach a battery pack onto the area light.
b. Plug the USB cable (not provided) into the USB
port and the other end of the cable into your
device.
c. Press the ON/OFF switch to turn on the area
light and activate USB port.
d. The USB device will fully charge if there is sufcient charge in the battery pack.
e. When not using or after charging, remove the USB cable from the battery.
If the device draws more than the rated output of the port (Max. 2 A), the port will shut off to
protect the battery pack. To reactivate the USB, remove the device and press the ON/OFF
switch.
If the area light is turned off during USB charging, the USB port could provide additional 2
hours charging. Then it will automatically shut off.
NOTE:
• Charging time is dependent upon the device.
• The battery may warm with several continuous cycles, this is part of the normal operation,
always use the USB charging function in a well-ventilated area.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
All maintenance should only be carried out by a qualied service technician.
Cleaning
Before cleaning or performing any maintenance, remove the battery pack from the tool. For
safe and proper operation, always keep the tool and its ventilation slots clean.
Always use only a soft, dry cloth to clean the plastic transparent cover; never use detergent or
alcohol. Always wear safety goggles when cleaning tools with compressed air.
TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING
• Press the ON/OFF switch to turn off the area light, and remove the battery pack from the tool
before performing troubleshooting procedures.

INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO
1. Para jar el paquete de baterías
a. Alinee la parte elevada del paquete de baterías
con las ranuras de la parte inferior de la
herramienta y luego deslice el paquete de
baterías en la herramienta, como se muestra.
b. Asegúrese de que los botones de liberación de
la batería del paquete de baterías encajen en
su lugar y que el paquete de baterías quede
jo a la herramienta antes de comenzar la
operación.
AVISO: al colocar el paquete de baterías en la
herramienta, asegúrese de que la varilla elevada
del paquete de baterías se alinee con la ranura
de la herramienta y que los pestillos encajen en su lugar adecuadamente. El ensamblaje

Para retirar el paquete de baterías
a. Presione los botones de liberación de la batería para liberar el paquete de baterías.

2. Interruptor de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO
a. Encienda la luz de área, presione el interruptor
de encendido/apagado (D). La luz de área se
encenderá al brillo máximo y en un área de
360°.
b. Para reducir el brillo, vuelva a presionar el
interruptor de encendido/apagado.
c. Para apagarla, presione el interruptor de
encendido/apagado por tercera vez.
ADVERTENCIA
• No siga presionando el interruptor de encendido/
apagado luego de que la luz de área se haya
apagado automáticamente. La batería puede
dañarse.
Modo SOS
a. La luz de área cambiará al modo SOS (parpadeará rápidamente) cuando mantenga
presionado el interruptor de encendido/apagado.
b. Para salir del modo SOS, presione el interruptor de encendido/apagado o el interruptor de
área. Volverá al modo anterior.

a. Presione el interruptor de encendido/apagado
(D) para encender la luz de área.
b. Cuando la luz de área se enciende por primera
vez, está congurada al brillo máximo y en un
área de 360°.
c. Para reducir el área iluminada, presione el
interruptor de área una vez.
d. Para volver al área de 360°, presione el
interruptor de área nuevamente.
4. Gancho para transportar
a. La luz de área está equipada con un gancho
para transportar (A). La luz de área se puede
transportar o sujetar a un objeto con el gancho
de transporte.
b. Para liberar el gancho de transporte, presione
el botón de bloqueo (B) y levante el gancho de
transporte. Puede girar 360°.
c. Para almacenar el gancho de transporte
cuando no esté en uso, presione hacia abajo el
gancho de transporte hasta que se bloquee en
la luz de área al hacer “clic”.

5. Cómoinstalaryrerarlapresillaparacinturón
a. Alinee la pestaña de la presilla para cinturón
(G) con el oricio en la base de la luz de área.
b. Apriete el tornillo (H) con rmeza con un
destornillador Phillips (no se incluye).
c. Para retirar la presilla para cinturón con
soporte para brocas, utilice un destornillador
Phillips para aojar el tornillo que ja la presilla
para cinturón a la luz de área.
6. Puerto USB
Cuando se instala un paquete de baterías y se
enciende la luz de área, el puerto USB en la luz de
área puede proporcionar CC de 5 voltios, hasta 2
amperios de sitio de carga para el teléfono celular
u otro dispositivo USB pequeño.
La luz de área y el dispositivo USB deben
colocarse sobre una supercie plana durante la
operación o pueden colgarse con el gancho de
transporte en la luz de área.
a. Coloque un paquete de baterías en la luz de
área.
b. Enchufe el cable USB (no se incluye) en el puerto USB y enchufe el otro extremo del
cable en su dispositivo.
c. Presione el interruptor de encendido/apagado para encender la luz de área y activar el
puerto USB.
d. El dispositivo USB se cargará completamente si hay suciente carga en el paquete de
baterías.
e. Cuando no se esté usando o después de cargar, retire el cable USB de la batería.
Si el dispositivo conduce más que el rango de salida del puerto (2 amperios como máximo), el
puerto se apaga para proteger el paquete de baterías. Para volver a activar el USB, retire el
dispositivo y presione el interruptor de encendido/apagado.
Si la luz de área se apaga durante la carga USB, el puerto USB podría proporcionar 2 horas
adicionales de carga. Luego se apagará automáticamente.
NOTA
• El tiempo de carga depende del dispositivo.

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
Todo el mantenimiento debe estar a cargo únicamente de un técnico de servicio calica-
do.
Limpieza
Antes de limpiar o realizar cualquier mantenimiento, retire el paquete de baterías de la
herramienta. Para un uso seguro y adecuado, siempre mantenga limpias la herramienta y sus
ranuras de ventilación.
Siempre use solamente un paño suave y seco para limpiar la cubierta de plástico
transparente; nunca utilice detergente ni alcohol. Siempre use gafas de seguridad al usar
herramientas de limpieza con aire comprimido.
SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
ADVERTENCIA
• Presione el interruptor de encendido/apagado para apagar la luz de área y retire el paquete
de baterías de la herramienta antes de realizar cualquier procedimiento de solución de
problemas.
