TRIP LEVER KIT

Unhook the flapper chain from the trip arm.
The lock nut has left-hand threads. Turn the lock nut clockwise to remove
the lock nut and washer.
Remove the trip lever assembly from the toilet.
Position the replacement trip lever assembly through the toilet tank hole.
Slide the washer and lock nut on the trip arm. Hand tighten the lock nut to
the trip lever assembly by turning it counterclockwise. (The lock nut has
left-hand threads.)
K-9408 only: Turn the trip lever about 40 degrees below the horizontal
position. Carefully wrench tighten the lock nut no more than a quarter turn.
The trip lever should be horizontal when released.
Other models: Orient the trip lever so it is horizontal when at rest.
Carefully wrench tighten the lock nut no more than a quarter turn.
Attach the flapper chain to the trip arm. Flush the toilet to verify smooth,
unobstructed operation of the trip lever assembly. Correct as needed.
