Before You Begin
Please read all instructions before you begin.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Determine the spout location before valve rough-in.
Drill 1-1/2″(3.8 cm) maximum holes for the valves and a 1-1/8″
(2.9 cm) hole for the spout.
Provide an access panel for all installations.
For lever handles, a one-quarter turn counterclockwise closes the
cold valve; and, a one-quarter turn clockwise closes the hot valve.
Kohler Co. reserves the right to make revisions in the design of
faucets without notice, as specified in the Price Book.

1. Install the Valves
NOTE: Thin deck/rim installation requires additional support under
the deck or rim. Use 1/2″(1.3 cm) thick exterior grade plywood.
Thread a mounting nut onto each valve body so the mounting
nut’s flange side faces upward.
Then slide on a fiber washer and rubber washer.
NOTE: Orient the valve body marked ″COLD″so it is on the right
when you are facing the front of faucet.
Insert the valve bodies through the mounting holes from the
bottom of the deck or rim and thread a collar onto each so the
collar’s flange side faces upward.
Adjust the valve so the distance from the top of the deck or rim
to the top of valve stem is 1-13/16″(3 cm).
Tighten a mounting nut onto each valve body from underneath
the deck or rim.
Install a plaster guard over each valve.

2. Install the Spout
Apply sealant tape to the short threaded end of the spout shank.
Thread the short end of the spout shank into the spout.
Apply plumbers putty or other sealant on the underside of the
spout according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Position the spout in the mounting hole.
From the underside of the deck, assemble the washer and locknut
to the spout shank.
Position the spout and tighten the locknut.

3. Connect the Spout
Tighten the copper adapter to the spout shank.
Determine the number and lengths of copper tubing pieces
needed to complete the installation.
NOTE: Combinations of copper 90° street ells or copper 90° ells can
be used to make the connection to the valves.
Dry fit the tubing, elbows, and tee and check for proper size.
Solder the joints together when the components fit together
properly.

4. Installing Square Handles
Close the valves (hot = clockwise, cold = counterclockwise).
Position a gasket over each valve body.
Thread an escutcheon onto each valve body.
Fit a spline adapter halfway onto each valve stem.
Partially install each skirt assembly onto a spline adapter.
Check the skirt alignment. If further alignment is needed,
reposition the spline adapter until the skirt alignment is correct.
Fasten each skirt to a valve with a screw.
Snap an inset into each inset holder.
Thread an outer shell onto each skirt.

5. Installing Lever Handles
Close the valves (hot = clockwise, cold = counterclockwise).
Install a skirt and spline adapter over each valve stem.
Secure with a screw.
Position a handle assembly over each spline adapter and engage
the spline in the handle.
Thread the skirt into each handle assembly until it is tight.
6. Complete the Installation
Ensure that both faucet handles are turned off (hot = clockwise,
cold = counterclockwise).
Turn on the main water supply and check for leaks.
Turn on the hot and cold valves and run water through the spout
to remove debris. Check for leaks.
Turn off the hot and cold valves.

Avant de commencer
Veuillez lire toutes les instructions avant de commencer.
Respecter tous les codes de plomberie et de bâtiment locaux.
Déterminer l’emplacement du bec avant le raccordement de la
valve.
Percer des orifices d’un maximum de 1-1/2″(3,8 cm) pour les
valves et de 1-1/8″(2,9 cm) pour le bec.
Prévoir un panneau d’accès pour toutes les installations.
Dans le cas de poignées à levier, un quart de tour vers la gauche
ferme la valve froide et un quart de tour dvers la droite ferme la
valve chaude.

1. Installer les valves
REMARQUE : L’installation sur comptoir/rebord nécessite un
support additionnel sous le comptoir ou rebord. Utiliser du
contre-plaqué extérieur de 1/2″(1,3 cm).
Visser un écrou de montage sur chaque corps de valve de
manière à ce que son côté bride soit orienté vers le haut.
Puis glisser une rondelle en fibres et en une autre en caoutchouc.
REMARQUE : Orienter le corps de valve marqué ″COLD″(froid) de
façon à ce qu’il soit sur la droite lorsque l’on est face au robinet.
Insérer les corps de valve à travers les orifices de montage
d’en-dessous du comptoir ou rebord et visser un collier sur
chacun d’entre eux de manière à ce que le côté bride de ce
dernier soit orienté vers le haut.
Ajuster la valve de manière à ce que la distance du dessus du
comptoir ou rebord de la tige de valve soit de 1-13/16″(3 cm).
Serrer l’écrou de montage sur chaque corps de valve sous le
comptoir ou rebord.
Installer une protection de plâtre sur chaque valve.
