1. Your Aquarium 3. Tank Placement
 Rinse materials in running water –
aquarium, gravel, stones, plasc plants
and other decoraons, etc.
 Place gravel, rocks and decoraons in the
tank now, spreading the gravel evenly
across the boom of the aquarium.
 Please read Safety Instrucons secon
before operang this unit. Completely
set up the aquarium kit before plugging
lter and light into electrical outlet.

 Make sure a drip loop is formed in all
electrical cords. Use of a GFCI rated
outlet or circuit is recommended.
Gravel and Decoraons are not
included with this aquarium kit.

 Place the
hood on top
of the tank
and make
sure it is
fully seated.
 Insert LED light unit into back of hood
turning to the right and ghten snuggly
to secure it. Insert power adapter
barrel plug into the LED light unit.
 Plug power adapter into standard 110
volt wall socket. Use of a GFCI (Ground
Fault Circuit Interrupter) is always
recommended when using electrical
appliances around water.
Children under the age of 13 should be
supervised by an adult with the setup,
maintenance and sh care

4. Adding Gravel
Make sure your tank has
not been damaged during
shipping before you start
the setup process.
 Place the aquarium on a level, strong
surface that is able to support the
weight of the assembled aquarium and
cannot be damaged by water.
 The aquarium should be located near
an electrical outlet to provide power
for the light and lter. Use of a GFCI
rated outlet or circuit is recommended.
 Never place an aquarium on top of a TV
or other electrical components.

 Aach hanger onto the
post at the back of the
SUPERCLEAN 10 lter,
inserng it into the 2nd
hole of hanger. To raise
or lower the lter adjust
hanger up or down.
 Hang the lter on the back
of the aquarium posion-
ing the lter hanger onto
the indented channel.
 It is important the lter is
submerged to the recom-
mended water line found
on the lter. Always make
sure your water level is at
or above this mark for
proper lter operaon.

normal use and service and according to the
provisions as specified in the accompanying as-
sembly and operating instructions, for a period of
2 years from date of purchase.
This warranty does not cover and

pair or replacement of parts which have been
subject to misuse, negligence, accident, improp-
er installation, damage during shipment or han-
dling, normal deterioration due to wear and
exposure or defects caused by unauthorized

7. Add Water
 Fill the aquarium with water to within
one inch of the top of the tank. Do not
overll since spillage may occur.
 Add Perfect Start Day 1 packets to your
aquarium. Wait 14 days and add the
second group of packets. On day 28
add the third set of packets.
 Allow the aquarium to run for 24
hours before adding sh to allow the
water to reach desired temperature.
8. Light Hood
 You can add addional accessories
by removing one of the two secons
shown below.
 Oponal) If you are adding a heater
(heater not included) remove the secon
shown below by using side cung pliers
and cung the aached webbing.
 Read and follow the heater’s instrucons.
 Check with your retailer for recommend-
ed heater sengs.
 Adjust heater sengs as directed.

When stocking your sh tank add no more than 1
inch of sh per gallon of water to your aquarium.
Remember these sh will grow larger as they
