1.1 General
This supplementary operating manual accompanies the installation/operating
manual. All information contained in the installation/operating manual must be
observed.

1.2 Installing the oil mist lubrication system
üBearing covers 360.01/.02 have been installed with labyrinth rings 423.01/.02.
1. Unscrew plugs 916.N3 and 916.N4 from the bearing bracket.
2. Screw in pipe union NPT 1/4" for oil mist inlet 916.N3.
3. Screw in pipe union NPT 1/2" for oil mist outlet 916.N4.
4. Connect the pipework to the oil mist lubrication system.
5. Apply oil mist quantities as stipulated by the manufacturers of the oil mist
lubrication units used.
1.3 Conversion
1.3.1 Conversion from oil mist lubrication to oil bath lubrication
Installing the oil bath lubrication system
1. Unscrew grub screws 904.N1 and 916.N2 from the oil return bore.
2. Unscrew plugs 916.N1 and 916.N5, if fitted.
3. Screw in grub screw 904.43 (B02/B03: 3×M10×10; B05: 5xM10x10: B06:
6xM10x10; B07: 3xM10x10).
4. Unscrew and remove the oil mist connections (inlet and outlet).
5. Close bores 916.N3 and 916.N4 with plugs NPT 1/4" and NPT 1/2", respectively.
6. Fit bearing bracket 330 with vent plug 913.03, fitting 720, constant level oiler
638 and protective cage 69-10.
1.3.2 Conversion from oil bath lubrication to oil mist lubrication
Installing the oil mist lubrication system
üBearing covers 360.01/.02 have been installed with labyrinth rings 423.01/.02.
1. Unscrew plugs 916.N3 and 916.N4 from the bearing bracket.
2. Screw in pipe union NPT 1/4" for oil mist inlet 916.N3.
3. Screw in pipe union NPT 1/2" for oil mist outlet 916.N4.
4. Connect the pipework to the oil mist lubrication system.
5. Replace constant level oiler 638 by plug 916.N5 (A1/4-18 NPT made of steel).
6. Replace vent plug 913.03 by plug 916.N1 (A1/2-18 NPT made of steel).

CAUTION
Incorrect installation
Damage to the bearings!
▷Seal and glue in the grub screws made of steel.
▷The grub screws must not protrude. Screw them in until they no longer
protrude from the surface.
7. Remove grub screw 904.43 from the oil return bores in the bearing bracket and
replace by grub screw 904.N1 (to ISO4029 - M10×25 made of steel).
8. Close the oil return bores under the pump-end bearing using plug 916.N2 (to
DIN4029).

9. Apply oil mist quantities as stipulated by the manufacturers of the oil mist
lubrication units used.
1.3.3 Conversion from oil bath lubrication to purge oil mist lubrication
Installing the oil mist lubrication system
1. Unscrew plugs 916.N3 and 916.N4 from the bearing brackets.
2. Screw in pipe union NPT 1/4" for oil mist inlet.
3. Screw in pipe union NPT 1/2” for oil mist outlet.
4. Connect the pipework of the oil mist lubrication system.
5. Run suitable flexible tubing from the oil sump overflows at the constant level
oilers into the oil return lines.
1.3.4 Conversion from purge oil mist lubrication to oil bath lubrication
Installing the oil bath lubrication system
1. Unscrew and remove the oil mist connections (inlet and outlet) from the bearing
bracket.
2. Close bores 916.N3 with plugs NPT 1/4".
3. Replace plug 916.N1 by vent plug 913.03.
4. Remove the flexible tube at the oil sump overflow of the constant level oiler.
5. Fit constant level oiler 638 with protective cage 69-10.
