LaCie d2 Hard Drive Extreme with Triple Interface is
capable of reaching transfer speeds of up to 64MB/s for
FireWire 800 users, up to 42MB/s for FireWire 400 us-
ers, and up to 34MB/s for USB 2.0 users***. With three
leading interfaces and 7200rpm rotational speed, it’s the
ideal, fast storage solution with universal connectivity.

With plug & play convenience, the LaCie d2 Hard
Drive Extreme with Triple Interface is hot-pluggable
for quick file transfers and easy data sharing. With the
appropriate cable, this hard drive can be connected
to any computer equipped with FireWire 800 (9-pin),
FireWire 400 (6-pin), iLink (4-pin), USB 2.0 or USB
1.1 ports, making it the most universal drive ever.

ADVANCED, VERSATILE DESIGN
Made of a metal alloy that dissipates heat and prolongs
drive performance, this d2 hard drive, designed by Neil
Poulton, features a slender, sturdy body that can stand
upright on your desk, be rack-mounted, or stacked to save
space. Most capacities are fan-free, which allows for ultra-
quiet operation. The 500GB drive has a quiet “smart fan”
that automatically adjusts itself depending on temperature
to protect itself and provide the quietest possible operation.
UNLIMITED USES
Ideal for a variety of applications, a 500GB LaCie d2
Hard Drive Extreme with Triple Interface can store
100,000 MP3 songs and more than 32 hours of digital
video from DV camcorders. Chained and striped in a
FireWire 800 RAID 0 configuration, it can reach un-
precedented sustained transfer rates of up to 100MB/s,
making it ideal for working with professional video in
high-end workstation and small-server environments.
