INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
This travel kettle is dual-voltage for making drinks at home and abroad. Before using,

underside of the kettle. The kettle may be damaged if the correct voltage is not selected.

• Fill with fresh, cold water, paying attention to the ‘MAX’ mark inside the kettle.
Boiling water may escape from the spout if the kettle is too full. The maximum capacity
is 500ml.
• Press the lid down, you will hear a ‘click’ when it is closed securely.
• Plug in the kettle. Press the kettle On/off switch. The indicator light will show the kettle

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question: Why won’t the kettle light up when switched on?
Answer: It may not be switched on at the plug.
Question: Why is there water spitting out of the spout when boiling?
Answer: There is too much water in the kettle. Only fill the kettle to the ‘MAX’ mark.
The kettle’s capacity is 500ml.
Question: Why has the kettle cut out?
Answer: There isn’t enough water in the kettle. This is a safety feature so the kettle
does not boil dry. Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool down before filling
and using again.
Question: Why doesn’t the kettle switch off?
Answer: The lid is not securely closed. Ensure the lid is properly closed.
Question: Why is the water cloudy?
Answer: Some drinking water has limescale which goes cloudy when being boiled.
This is perfectly normal.
Question: Why do drinks made with water from the kettle leave a scum in the cups?
Answer: The kettle may need descaling. Follow the descaling instructions in this
manual.

CARE AND CLEANING
• Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning and storing.
• Periodically check all parts before use.
• Never immerse the kettle, cord and plug in water or any other liquid.
• Wipe the kettle, inside and out, with a damp soft cloth. You may use a little mild
detergent, but if you do, rinse well with clean water to avoid tainting when the kettle
is next used.
• Do not use harsh or abrasive, or alkaline cleaning agents or solvents.
• Store the kettle with the power cable loosely coiled. You can pull out the two cable
storage guides on either side to help locate for storing.
• Never wrap it tightly around the kettle.
• Do not place in the dishwasher.
DESCALING
• Limescale may be white, coloured, even rusty-looking, but it’s normally visible on the
floor of the kettle. Phosphate scale isn’t generally visible, but it’s there, even in soft
water areas.
• All scale causes overheating and reduces the kettle’s life.
• Even with soft water, descale regularly, to help keep your kettle in working order. Use a
descaler suitable for plastic products (all kettles have plastic parts).
• When descaling has finished, rinse and boil the kettle several times and discard
the water.
