considered consumable and not therefore covered by
the Tool Connection guarantee.

Instructions
Due to the nature of the task the nut and bar are
considered consumable and not therefore covered by
the Tool Connection guarantee.
Removal Replacement
Removal
1. Mark the position of the existing bush prior to removal
2. Lubricate Nut, Bar and Force Bearing Assembly
3. Assemble the tool with the small sleeve (C) on top of the axle carrier.
4. Screw in the Force Bar through the centre of the old bush.
5. Assemble the collets (2) with the grooves sitting in the recess on the
old bush
6. Slide on the large removing sleeve (D) onto the Force Bar (A) to
secure the collets
7. If the new Slotted style bush is installed, select item 2 and 3
8. Attach Force Bearing Assembly and using a 24mm spanner or deep
socket turn clockwise, ensuring the tool and bush are aligned.
9. If it becomes necessary to exert excessive force, remove the tool,
re-align, re-grease then start again.
Replacement
1. Re-grease the Force Nut Assembly and the bar
2. Re-assemble the tool with the groove on the top installing sleeve
located on the axle carrier
3. Screw in the Force bar (short threaded end)
4. Check the alignment
5. Push on the new bush
6. Slide on the bottom installing sleeve, locating the grooves on the
bush into the tool.
7. Attach the Force Bearing Assembly and turn clockwise to wind the
bush into the axle carrier.
8. Check regularly for alignment
9. Do not exert excessive force but remove and re-lubricate if it
becomes too tight.
Complete the process on the other bushes and re-assemble the vehicle
in accordance with your manufacturer’s workshop manual.
Perform task on the other side if necessary

Precautions
Make sure the vehicle is securely elevated and supported with axle stands
Wear suitable eye protection
Always grease the Nut and Force Bar before and after every job
Gain access to all four rear axle carrier mounting bushes
Chock the front wheels and apply hand brake
DO NOT USE AIR TOOLS WITH THIS PRODUCT
Before you start
• Jack up the rear end of the vehicle and support with axle stands
• Remove the rear wheels
• Make sure you are clear on the re-alignment of the new bushes
• Make sure the brake hoses are kept away from the work area to avoid damage.
• You will need a 24mm Ring Spanner or Socket
• Apply penetrating oil to the old bush before you start
• Apply liquid soap to new bushes to aid installation
