8. Where possible, avoid the use of extension cords because the extension cord may overheat and cause a re. If you must use an extension
cord, minimize the risk of overheating by using the shortest cord possible and ensuring that it is UL listed. NEVER use a single extension
cord to operate more than one Fan. DO NOT plug Fan into any other cord connected device, such as a power strip, cord reel, surge pro-
tector, mutiple outlet adapters or outlet-type air fresheners. The use of such devices may create a re hazard.
9. NEVER operate any Fan with a damaged cord or plug or after the Fan malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. There
are no user serviceable parts. Return Fan to an authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair.
10. NEVER insert or allow ngers or foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as it may cause an electric shock or re, or
damage the Fan. To reduce the risk of re, DO NOT block or tamper with the Fan in any manner while it is in operation.
11. Always place the Fan on a stable, at, level surface when operating, to avoid the chance of the Fan overturning. Locate the Power Cord
so the Fan or other objects are not resting on it. DO NOT run Power Cord under carpeting. DO NOT cover Power Cord with throw rugs,
runners or the like. Arrange Power Cord away from room trafc and where it will not be tripped over.
12. This Fan is not intended for use in wet or damp locations. Never locate a Fan where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
NEVER use Fan where ammable liquids are used or stored.
13. NEVER use Fan outdoors.
14. This Fan is not suitable for use in agricultural facilities including areas where livestock, poultry or other animals are conned. Please refer
to National Electric Code (NEC) Article 547-7 (2002), or applicable state or local codes or standards relating to electrical requirements for
Agricultural Buildings. THIS FAN DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIRMENTS OF NEC ARTICLE 547-7 (2002).
15. This Fan is not suitable for use in hazardous locations. Please refer to National Electric Code (NEC) Article 500 or applicable state or local
codes or standards relating to electrical requirements for Hazardous locations. THIS FAN DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIRMENTS OF
NEC ARTICLE 500 (2002).
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock,
this plug is intended to t in a polarized outlet only one way. Match wide blade of plug to wide slot. Fully
insert. If the plug does not t fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied
electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature.
This plug is a safety feature, to reduce the risk of re, electric shock and personal injury. DO NOT remove,
replace, repair or tamper with the originally supplied plug. If the Fan does not function properly, it may be due
to the safety device incorporated in this plug. Return to an authorized service center or call 800-233-0268,
Monday - Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST. If the plug warning label is missing or damaged, call
the toll free number for a replacement label.

FUNCIONAMIENTO (Figura 1)
1. Cuidadosamente retire el Ventilador de la bolsa plástica y
la caja de cartón.
2. Coloque el ventilador sobre una superficie firme y
nivelada.
ADVERTENCIA: Los tacos de plástico o hule, tales como
las patas de esta unidad, pueden pegarse a la supercie

3. Conecte el cable eléctrico a un tomacorriente de 120
voltios.

tomacorriente.
Cuando los enchufes quedan flojos en los
tomacorrientes, pueden deslizarse parcial
o completamente fuera del tomacorriente
con un leve movimiento del cable adosado.

4. Para encender el Ventilador, oprima el Botón de Encendido/
Velocidad ( ). El Ventilador estará en Alta Velocidad.
5. Oprimiendo el Botón de Encendido/Velocidad ( ) una vez
más, el Ventilador estará en Baja Velocidad.
6. Para apagar el Ventilador, oprima el Botón de Encendido/
Velocidad ( ) por tercera vez.
7. Después de Apagar el Air Stik®, desconecte la unidad del
tomacorriente eléctrico.
Función de Oscilación:
Esta función se activará en cualquier velocidad del Ventilador.
Botón de Oscilación ( ) permitirá que el Ventilador haga
circular el aire más efectivamente, moviendo el Ventilador
de lado a lado en un movimiento de barrido. Para detener la
oscilación, oprima el Botón de Oscilación ( ) una vez más.
El Botón de Oscilación ( ) se iluminará cuando esta función
esté en uso.

CUANDO EL VENTILADOR ESTÉ ENCENDIDO O CONECTADO.
8. Donde sea posible, evite el uso de cables de alargue porque el cable de alargue podría sobrecalentarse y provocar un incendio. Si debe
usar un cable de alargue, minimice el riesgo de sobrecalentamiento usando el cable más corto posible y garantizando que esté autorizado
por UL (Underwriters Laboratories). NUNCA use un solo cable de alargue para hacer funcionar a más de un Ventilador. No conecte el
Ventilador a cualquier otro dispositivo conectado a un cable, como un cable de contactos múltiples, protector de sobrecargas, adaptadores
de tomacorrientes múltiples o refrescantes de aire tipo tomacorriente. El uso de tales dispositivos podría crear un riesgo de incendio.
9. NUNCA ponga en funcionamiento ningún Ventilador con un cable o enchufe dañado o después que el Ventilador haya tenido fallas de

que el Ventilador se caiga. Coloque el Cable Eléctrico de modo tal que el Ventilador u otros objetos no estén apoyados sobre el mismo.
NO coloque el Cable Eléctrico debajo de las alfombras. NO cubra el Cable Eléctrico con tapetes, alfombras de hule o similares. Coloque
el Cable Eléctrico lejos del paso de la habitación y donde nadie pueda tropezarse con él.
12. Este Ventilador no está destinado para ser usado en lugares húmedos o mojados. Nunca coloque un Ventilador donde pueda caer dentro
de una tina de baño u otro recipiente de agua. NUNCA use un Ventilador donde se usen o almacenen líquidos inamables.
13. NUNCA use el Ventilador al aire libre.
14. Este Ventilador no es adecuado para usar en instalaciones de agricultura incluyendo áreas donde se almacene ganado, aves de corral
u otros animales. Por favor consulte el Articulo 547-7 (2002) del Código Eléctrico Nacional (NEC), o los códigos o normas estatales o
locales aplicables con relación a los requisitos eléctricos para edicios destinados a las agricultura. ESTE VENTILADOR NO CUMPLE

15. Este Ventilador no es adecuado para usar en lugares peligrosos. Por favor consulte el Artículo 500 del Código Eléctrico Nacional (NEC), o

OPERATION (Figure 1)
1. Carefully remove the Fan from the plastic bag and the
carton.
2. Place the Fan on a rm and level surface.
CAUTION: Plastic or rubber tabs, like the feet on this unit, may
stick to furniture surfaces and/or hardwood oors. The unit may
leave a residue that could darken, stain or leave permanent
blemishes on the nish of certain furniture surfaces, including
wood surfaces, and/or hardwood oors.
3. Plug the cord set into a 120 volt outlet.
Be sure that the plug ts tightly into outlet.
When plugs t loosely into receptacles, they may
slip partially or completely out of the receptacle
with only the slight movement of the attached cord.
Receptacles in this condition may overheat and
pose a serious re hazard; if covered by a curtain
or drape, the re hazard is even greater.
4. To turn the Fan on, press the Power/Speed Button ( ). The
Fan will be in High Speed.
5. Pressing the Power/Speed Button ( ) once more will put
the Fan in Low Speed.
6. To turn the Fan off, press the Power/Speed Button ( ) a
third time.
7. After turning the Air Stik® Off, unplug the unit from the
electrical outlet.
Oscillation Function:
This function will work in any Fan speed. Pressing the
Oscillation Button ( ) will allow the Fan to circulate air more
effectively by moving the Fan from side to side in a sweeping
motion. To stop the oscillation, press the Oscillation Button
( ) once more. The Oscillation Button ( ) will light when this
function is in use.

MAINTENANCE
To reduce the risk of electrical shock and re please observe the following instructions:
- Always unplug the cord before moving, servicing or cleaning.
- NEVER place the Fan in or near water.
- Clean the Fan only with a vacuum equipped with a brush attachment; the vacuum will remove the lint
and dirt from inside the Fan.
- NEVER attempt to take apart the Fan.
- Clean the body of the Fan with a soft cloth only.
- NEVER use ALCOHOL or SOLVENTS such as gasoline, benzene, paint thinner, or other harsh cleaners.
SERVICING: All other servicing, with the exception of general user-maintenance, should be performed by an authorized service
representative. Call 1-800-233-0268, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST for the location of your
nearest service center.
STORAGE: Store the Fan with these instructions, in the original carton in a cool, dry place.
