OPERATING MANUAL
1. Read all instructions before using Heater.
2. UsethisHeateronlyasdescribed in this manual. Any
otherusenotrecommendedbythemanufacturer may
cause fire, electrical shock, or injury to persons.
3. Make certain that the power source conforms to the
electrical requirements of the Heater.
4. Extreme caution is necessary when any Heater
is used by or near children or invalids and when-
ever the Heater is left operating unattended.
5. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the out-
let, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature.
6. Wherepossible,avoid the use ofextensioncordsbe-
cause the extension cord may overheat and cause a
risk of fire. If they must be used, minimize the risk of
overheating by ensuring that they are UL listed, a
minimumNo.14AWG, ratednotlessthan1875watts.
Never use a single extension cord to operate more
than one Heater.
7. Do not operate any Heater with a damaged cord or
plugoraftertheHeater malfunctions,has beendropped
or damaged in any manner. Return Heater to autho-
rized service facility for examination, electrical or me-
chanical adjustment or repair.
8. Unplug power cord before servicing or moving the
Heater. Always unplug Heater when not in use.
WARNING: DO NOT DEPEND ON THE ON/OFF
SWITCH AS THE SOLE MEANS OF DISCONNECT-
ING POWER WHEN SERVICING OR MOVING THE
HEATER. ALWAYS UNPLUGTHE POWER CORD.
9. Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to
enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as it may
causeanelectric shock or fire,ordamagethe Heater.
Do not block or tamper with the Heater in any man-
ner while it is in operation.
10.To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or
exhaust in any manner. Do not place on soft sur-
faces, like a bed, where openings may become
blocked.
11.Always place the Heater on a stable, flat, level surface
when operating, to avoid the chance of the Heater over-
turning. Locate the Power Cord so the Heater or other
objectsare not restingonit. Do not run Power Cordunder
carpeting. Do not cover Power Cord with throw rugs, run-
ners, or the like. Arrange Power Cord away from room
traffic and where it will not be tripped over.
12.This Heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do
not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Always use
handle when moving this Heater. Keep combustible
materials,such as furniture, pillows,bedding,papers,
clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the
front of the Heater and keep them at least 1 foot (0.3
m) from the sides and rear.
13.A Heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside.
It must NOT be used in potentially dangerous loca-
tions such as flammable, explosive, chemical-laden
or wet atmospheres. This Heater is intended for gen-
eral use ONLY.
14.This Heater is not intended for use in wet or damp
locations. Never locate a Heater where it may fall
into a bathtub or other water container.
15.Do not use Heater outdoors.

SOLID STATE SPEED CONTROL DEVICES.
GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
When using electrical appliances,
basic precautions should always be followed
to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to person,
including the following:

Remote Control (Figure 2)
1. Press the ON-HIGH or ON-LOW button will start the heater on
either HIGH or LOW heat.
2. The OFF, TIMER and SWING buttons function in the exact same
manner as listed in steps 5 through 7 of the operating instructions.
3. The remote control is powered by two AAA batteries supplied.
There is a cover on the back of the remote control that can be
removed for replacement of the batteries as required.
4.Do not mix fresh and old batteries, or batteries of
different specifications.

OPERATION Control Panel (Figure 1)
1. Carefully remove the Heater from the plastic bag and the carton.
2. Place the Heater on a firm and level surface.
3. Plug the cord set into a 120V electrical outlet. Be sure plug fits
tightly in outlet. A loose fit will cause overheating and damage the
plug. Plug and cord set may feel warm during normal usage.
4. When the Heater is plugged in, there will be a “beep” to indicate
that there is power to the unit.
5. ON/FUNCTION button.When this button is pushed, HIGH indicator
light comes on and Heater is in the high heat mode. (1500 watts)
6. Press the ON/FUNCTION button again the HIGH indicator light
goes off and the LOW indicator light comes on and the Heater
is now in the low heat mode. (900 watts)
7. Press the ON/FUNCTION button again and the LOW indicator
lightgoes off and the FAN indicatorlight comes on and theHeater
is in fan only mode.
8. OFF button – Press this button will shut the Heater off.
9. “TIMER” button. Press it once and the light comes on indicat-
ing 1/2 hour of time. Press it again and the light indicates 1
hour. Press it a third time and it indicates 1.5 hours. The total
time that can be indicated at one time is 7.5 hours.Continuing
to press the timer button will cycle through the settings until all
timer lights are off. When the time indicator lights are off, the
Heater will run continuously.
10.The “SWING” button.Press this button and the swing light comes
on and the Heater will oscillate back and forth.Press it again and
the light will go out and the oscillation will stop.
11.The Heater must be placed flat on the floor or the tip-over switch
will shut it off automatically.
12.To disconnect Heater, press “OFF” button, then remove plug
from outlet.

SAFETY FEATURE
1. A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating.
2. When an overheat temperature is reached, the Heater will auto-
matically shut-off. It can only resume operation when the unit is
reset. (See reset instructions below).
To Reset Heater:
1. Unplug the Heater and wait 10 minutes for the unit to cool down.
2. After the 10 minutes, plug the Heater in again and follow the
OPERATIONINSTRUCTIONdescribedinthisinstructionmanual.
TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS
If your heater shuts off unexpectedly or fails to operate, one of
the above-mentioned safety features may have been activated
to prevent overheating.
1. Be sure the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet.
If you have a problem that can not be resolve by the steps listed
above, contact Technical Assistance at 800-233-0268, Monday
through Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm EST.

MAINTENANCE
WARNING: ALWAYS UNPLUGTHE CORD BEFORE MOVING OR
SERVICING.
WARNING: DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER.
CLEANING: IMPORTANT! Clean the Heater grill with the
vacuum brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner. Clean the body
of the Heater with a soft cloth.
DO NOT ATTEMPTTOTAKE APARTTHE HEATER.
CAUTION:Do not use gasoline, benzine, thinner, harsh clean-
ers, etc., as they will damage the Heater. NEVER use ALCO-
HOL OR SOLVENTS.
SERVICING: All other servicing, with the exception of general
user-maintenance, should be performed by an authorized ser-
vice representative. Call 1-800-233-0268, Monday through Fri-
day, between the hours of 8am and 5pm EST for the location of
your nearest service center.
STORAGE: Store the Heater with these instructions in the original
carton in a cool, dry place.

FUNCIONAMIENTO Tablero de control (Figura 1)
1. Retire cuidadosamente el calefactor de la bolsa plástica y caja.
2. Coloque el Calefactor sobe una superficie firme y plana.
3. Enchufeelcable eléctrico a un tomacorriente de 120V.Asegúrese
que el enchufe quede bien ajustado. Un ajuste suelto puede
causar sobrecalentamiento y dañar el enchufe.
4. Alenchufarel Calefactor se oyeuntono para indicarque la unidad
recibe alimentación eléctrica.
5. Botón ON/FUNCTION. Al oprimirse este botón, la luz indicadora
HIGH se ilumina indicando que el Calefactor se encuentra en el
modo de calor alto.(1500 vatios)
6. Si se oprime de nuevo el botón ON/FUNCTION, la luz indicadora
HIGH se apaga y la luz indicadora LOW se ilumina indicando que
el Calefactor se encuentra en el modo de calor bajo. (900 vatios)
7. Si se oprime de nuevo el botón ON/FUNCTION, la luz indicadora
LOW se apaga y la luz indicadora FAN se ilumina indicando
que el Calefactor se encuentra en el modo de ventilador
solamente.
8. Botón OFF – Al oprimir este botón el Calefactor se apaga.
9. Botón“TIMER”. Oprímalo una vez y se enciende la luz que indica
1/2 hora de funcionamiento.Oprímalo de nuevo y la luz indica 1
hora. Oprímalo por tercera vez y se indica 1.5 horas. El tiempo
total máximo que puede indicarse es de 7.5 horas. Si se sigue
oprimiendo el botón TIMER se avanza por los ajustes hasta que
se apaguen todas las luces del temporizador. Cuando están
apagadas las luces indicadoras del temporizador, el Calefactor
funciona continuamente.
10. Botón“SWING”. Si se oprime este botón la luz SWING se ilumina y el
Calefactor oscila a través de una carrera de 120 grados.Oprímalo de
nuevo para apagar la luz y detener la oscilación.
11. El calefactor debe colocarse plano en el piso; de lo contrario el
interruptor protector encasode vuelco loapaga automáticamente.
12.Para desconectar el Calefactor, oprima el botón “OFF” y retire el
enchufe del tomacorriente.
Control remoto: (Figura 2)
1. Oprima el botón ON-HIGH o el ON-LOW para encender el
calefactor y escoger ya sea calor ALTO o BAJO.
2. Los botones OFF, TIMER y SWING funcionan de la misma
manera explicada en los pasos 5 al 7 de las instrucciones de
uso dadas anteriormente.
3. El control remoto recibe alimentación de las dos baterías AAA
provistas.Hayuna cubiertaen la parte posterior del control remoto
que puede retirarse para sustituir las baterías según se requiera.
4. No mezcle baterías, ni las baterías frescas y viejas de
especificaciones diferentes.

CARACTERÍSTICAS DE SEGURIDAD
1. El Calefactor tiene incorporado un protector contra sobrecarga
térmica para evitar que se sobrecaliente.
2. Cuando se alcance una temperatura de sobrecalentamiento, el
calefactor se apaga automáticamente. Sólo puede volverse a
encender después que el usuario reposicione la unidad.
Para reposicionar el Calefactor:
1. Desenchufe el Calefactor y espere de 10 minutos para que el
Calefactor se enfríe.
2. Después que los 10 minutos, tapan la Calefactor en otra vez y
sigue la INSTRUCCION de la OPERACION descrita en este
manual de la instrucción.
MOLESTE PUNTAS QUE DISPARAN
Si su Calefactor apaga inesperadamente o falla de operar, uno
de las características ya mencionadas de seguridad se puede
haber activado para prevenir recalentar.

1. Lea todas las instrucciones antes de usar el Calefactor.
2. Utilice este Calefactor únicamente de la manera descrita

11.Siempre coloque el Calefactor sobre una superficie
plana, nivelada y estable durante el uso para evitar que
se vuelque. Acomode el cable de tal manera que ni el
Calefactor ni ningún otro objeto le pasen por encima.
No pase el cable por debajo de la alfombra. No cubra
el cable con ninguna alfombrilla, tapete, ni cosa
parecida.Coloque el cable lejos de las zonas de mayor
movimiento dentro de la habitación y donde nadie
pueda tropezarse.
12.Este Calefactor se calienta cuando está en uso. No permita
que la piel desnuda entre en contacto con las superficies
calientesparaevitarquemaduras.Siempreusela manijapara
trasladar este Calefactor. Mantenga los materiales
combustibles,talescomomuebles,almohadas,ropadecama,
papeles, ropa y cortinas, por lo menos a 3 pies (0.9 m) de
distancia de la parte delantera del Calefactor y al menos 1
pie(0.3 m)dedistancia delos costadosyde laparteposterior.
13.Los calefactores contienen piezas calientes que generan
