SNAPstop je zarážka pre členkovú ortézu
SNAPstop is a motion stop for Ankle Foot Orthosis.
1) Začnite prípravou vášho modelu členkovej ortézy (AFO) na podtlakové tvarovanie.
Begin by preparing your AFO model for vacuum forming.
2) Vložte tvarovací blok úzkou stranou (A) proti modelu, so spodným okrajom uprostred členku.
Zaistite tvarovací blok pomocou klinec bez hlavičky (pribalený) priamo na návlek vo vyššie
popísanej polohe.
Place the Molding Blank with the Narrow Side (A) against the model, with the bottom edge at ankle joint
center. Secure the Molding blank with the brad nail (included) directly ontothe stocking in the position
described above.
3) Zaveďte malý klinec do vyvŕtaného otvoru (D) a zarazte ho do plastového modelu. Týmto
zabránite prevráteniu tvarovacieho bloku v priebehu podtlakového tvarovania.
Place the small nail into the Drill Hole (D) and tap it into the plaster model. This prevents the Molding Blank from
tipping during the vacuum forming process.
4) Podtlak vytvaruje váš plast priamo cez tvarovací blok. Uistite sa, že je plast plne tepelne
spracovaný, aby bola zaistená maximálna prispôsobivosť. Nevkladajte tvarovací blok dovnútra
návleku.
Vacuum form you plastic directly over the Molding Blank and tap it into the plaster model. This prevents the
Molding Blank form tipping during the vacuum forming process.
5) Keď plast vychladne, vytiahnite členkovú ortézu z modelu. Tvarovací blok bude uzatvorený v
plaste. Odstráňte bezhlavý klinec tým, že ho vytiahnete cez výlisok pomocou klieští..
Once the plastic has cooled remove the AFO form the model. Your molding Blank will be encased in the
plastic. Remove the brad nail by pulling it through the Molding Blank with a pliers.
6) Vizuálne skontrolujte vnútro vašej členkovej ortézy a identifikujte vyvŕtaný otvor (D)
na tvarovacom bloku. Pomocou vrtáka s priemerom 1,6 - 2 mm (1/16˝) vyvŕtajte
pilotný otvor z vnútra členkovej ortézy cez vonkajšok členkovej ortézy. Tento otvor
bude následne použitý na určenie vašej línie rezu..
Viewingthe inside of your AFO, identify the Drill Hole (D) on the Molding Blank. Using a 1,6 –2
mm (1/16˝) drill bit, pilot a hole from the inside of the AFO through to the outside of the AFO.
This hole is then used to establish your cut line

7) Pomocou značkovacej ceruzky nakreslite horizontálnu čiaru priamo cez otvor
na vonkajšom povrchu vašej členkovej ortézy, ktorý bude zasahovať
mediálne a laterálne cez stred členkového kĺbu. Toto je vaša línia rezu.
With a marking pencil, draw a 6 horizontal line directly over the hole on the outer
surface of your AFO, extending medially and laterally through the ankle joint center. This
is your cut line.
8) Dávajte pozor, aby ste rez cez tvarovací blok viedli presne po určenej línii.
Take care to cut accurately on the established line, cutting through the Molding Blank.
9) Vizuálne skontrolujte vnútro vašej členkovej ortézy, vyhľadajte súradnicovú
líniu (C), malú horizontálnu líniu nad vaším okrajom rezu. Pomocou
značkovacej ceruzky nakreslite horizontálnu líniu na ktorejkoľvek strane
súradnicovej línie. Týmto zvýšite svoju viditeľnosť a presnosť pri brúsení.
Viewing, inside your AFO, locate the Grind Line (C), a small horizontal line located
above your cut margin. With a marking pencil, drawing a horizontal line on either
side of the Grind Line. This will increase you visibility and accuracy when grinding.
10) Pomocou malého pieskovacieho kužeľa Trautman obrúste výrobok po
súradnicovú líniu (C). Všetky okraje ponechajte hranaté. Nebrúste za
súradnicovú líniu .
Using a small Trautman sanding cone grind up to the Grid Line (C) leaving all
edges square. Do Not grind past the Grid Line.
11) Vyhľadajte otvor pre skrutkovač (B) nad líniou brúsenia. Vložte do otvoru
pre skrutkovač (B) plochý skrutkovač a tlakom odstráňte tvarovací blok
Locate the Screwdriver Slot (B) just above the Grind Line. Place a flat head
screwdriver into the Screwdriver Slot (B) and apply pressure removing the Molding
Blank.
12) Zostávajúca časť tvarovacieho bloku zostáva v nožnej časti vašej
členkovej ortézy. Vytvára tak nárazový povrch pre vašu zarážku.
Neodstraňujte, ak nenahradzujete zarážkou.
The remaining portion of the Molding Blank remains in the foot section of your AFO.
This becomes the impact surface for your Motion Stop. Do not remove unless you
are replacing it with a Motion Stop.
13) Vyhľadajte zarážky. Uložte zarážku tak, aby bola jej konkávna strana
otočená smerom k dolnej končatine. Zaveďte do kanála driek až do
polohy, v ktorej sa ozve zaklapnutie.
Locate the Motion Stop. Position the Motion Stop so the concavity faces in toward
the leg. Insert the shaft into the channel until you feel and hear a snap.

This product should only be used for its intended purpose and should be fabricated under the guidance of a
certified Orthotist per the provided instructions
