Note: Ground fixing to asphalt is not recommended
(concrete or paving slab base recommended)
Position the bin so that the bin door
faces the correct direction and does
not obstruct when door is open.
Using chalk, mark the position through
the four holes in the bin base onto the
ground bellow.
Remove bin body and clearly mark the
ground in the four hole positions with
a cross.

Remove ballast plug from the bottom
of the bin and fill with a suitable waste
material.
Spread the ballast material by hand or tip
the bin base in order to distribute the
material and reinsert the ballast plug.
Replace liner and shut door.
On the paving slab surface, make sure the
marked positions are not within 100mm of
the edge of the slab as cracking could occur.
Drill 16mm (must be 16mm dia) holes in the
four marked positions to the depth of 100
mm. Remove debris from holes.
Re-position the bin over holes. Add washers
to the bolts & push through moulded holes
in bin base & into the drilled ground holes.
Using the mallet drive the bolts home. Tighten the bolts to no 22.0Nm torque for
concrete. Tightening the bolts will fan out the
bolt sheath in the hole holding the bolt secure.
Replace liner and shut door.
