Deplete Routine for JET3
1. Switch on the JET3 and wait while the system is bleeding.
2. Touch the icon „wrench“ and switch off the “Control (Regelung)”-button.
3. Touch „Spezialfunktionen/Tools“ und activate the function „ Deplete Ink (Tinte entleeren)“.

4. Remove the return flow tube on the blue tube connector and connect a pice of tube on this
connector (please see the following pictures).
Put the end of this tube into an empty ink or solvent bottle and press “Next (Weiter)” to
start the routine.
5. Dependent on the filling level of the ink tank, the routine may run a few minutes.
If the level sensor of the ink tank signales “low level”, the routine runs another 120 sec.
till the message „ink tank is empty“ appears automatically and switches off this routine.

Please confirm with "OK". The menu will change back to "special functions / tools"
The drained ink from the system can be used again if required.
6. To drain the solvent-tank please activate the function „deplete solvent (Verdün.
entleeren)“.
Put the drain tube (see point 4) once more in an empty ink or solvent bottle and
start the deplete routine with the button “next”.
In dependence of the filling state at the solvent-tank the routine runs some minutes.
If the sensor recognises the “low level” inside the tank, the routine runs another 120
seconds till the message „ink tank is empty“ appears automatically and switches off this
routine.

Confirm with "OK" and the menu changes back to "special functions / tools".
The drained solvent should not be used any more further, because it is strongly mixed with
ink.
7. Activate the function "Pressureless (Druckfrei)".
Now the routine starts automatically and announces, if the hydraulic system is absolutely
pressure free. Quit this message with the "OK" button.

8. Switch off the JET3 with the function "emergency off (Notabschaltung)" and plug out the
printer from the mains supply.
9. For the transportation of the printer by a forwarding agency or air cargo, especially the print
head has to be stowed on the suitable head packaging for protection.
Also the hydraulic components like the main pump, sucction pump and the valve block should
be fixed with cable ties to avoid that they loose from the mounting rail.
