Rear rack installation manual
This manual will instruct you on how to assemble your LEKKER rear
carrier on your Amsterdam+ or AmsterdamGT Ebike. The tools you need
are allen keys sizes 4mm and 5mm and a crosshead screwdriver.
Step 1
Loosen the two screws on each
size to extend the base connector
of the carrier and tighten the screws
again on the maximum length
setting. This adjusts the carrier for a
perfect fit on your LEKKER bike.

Step 2
The rear rack will be fitted to the
same bolt where your fender stays
(that hold your rear mudguard in
place) are currently connected to.
Using a 4mm allen key, remove
these bolts on each side. Keep
the fender stay bracket (circular
clamps that hold the fender stay)
Step 3
We will replace the screw we just
removed with the provided slightly
longer version, since it now needs to
hold both the rear rack and the fender
stay bracket.
We are going to screw this into the
lowest hole of the carrier’s case
connector.

Step 4
To insert this screw, you have to
apply some force, preferably
using a stable surface, to fit the
screw through the slightly narrow
hole. You may also use an
electrical drill (6/6.5mm) to slightly
widen the hole (see picture
below). This is optional, however,
if you have a drill at your hand, we
recommend this method.
Optional step:
Widen the hole with an electric drill. If
you have this available we recommend
doing it this way. Use a 6,5 or 7mm drill,
so the 6mm screw will fit through
comfortably!

Step 5
Make sure you positioned the screws on
both sides of the rack as in the picture
before you proceed.
Step 6
Now we can screw the rear carrier back to
the frame.
Use the holes where we removed the
bolts from in step 2.
After that you can re-insert the fender
stays into the fenders stay bracket. To
make this easier, first tighten the bolt
half-way and use a lubricant to insert the
stays. Then fully tighten the bolt into the
frame.
The fenders and the base of the rear rack
are now installed!

Step 7
Now that the base of the
carrier is fixed to the frame,
it can be stabilized and
brought into its final
position. Start by removing
the bolt that holds the
middle of the rear fender.
Then use this same bolt to
attach the plate that will
hold the stays / legs of the
rack. Tighten it properly, it
might bend inward slightly.
Step 8
Using an allen key size 4 mm,
attach the stays / legs to the plate
you installed in step 7. For this, use
the two bolts, washers and nuts that
were included with your rear carrier.
Do not fully tighten the bolts yet as
this will be done at a later point.
Step 9
Next, slide the other end of both stays / legs
through the two holes, connecting it to the
carrier.
Bring the carrier in the desired position before
tightening these bolts using a 5 mm allen
key.

Step 10
While taking a bird’s eye view of
the rear carrier, make sure it is
perfectly aligned with the frame
and tighten all bolts. This
included the bolts under the
plastic cover (see picture).
Congratulations,
you have successfully attached your rear carrier to your LEKKER bike!

Optional extra: Toppeak Pannier

This short manual will guide you through the attachment of your
LEKKER carrier bag to the new rear carrier!
Simply hook the bag onto the side of the rear carrier as shown
on the picture to the right. You should hear (and feel) a clicking
once this is done successfully.
Then, move the lever at the back of the bag to a position where
it can be connected to the side of the rear carrier. Simply click
the gray button (see picture below) to release or fasten the
lever.
Congratulations, you have now attached the carrier back to your
LEKKER bike rear carrier!
