IMPORTANT
Frequent changes to operating mode may
cause system malfunctions. Allow at least
one minute between mode changes to allow
the system to stabilize.

General
The M0STAT120N-1 is a wired programmable
local controller for mini-split indoor units with
convenient timed schedules for daily operation.
These instructions are intended as a general
guide and do not supersede local codes in any
way. Consult authorities having jurisdiction
before installation.
Requirements
Verify the power supply has been turned o󰀨
before beginning installation. This controller
should be used only as described in this
manual.
Do not install the controller on exterior walls
(where there is unconditioned space on
opposite side of wall) or in locations where
direct sunlight may be present.

Product Overview
• Wired programmable local controller for
mini-split indoor units with convenient timed
schedules for daily operation
• Weekly timers (2), 7-day timer, up to 8
scheduled events per day
• Schedule start time, mode, set point, and
fan speed
• Compatible with all indoor units
• Copy/paste function for easy duplication of
events to other days
• Built-in system diagnostics
• Dimensions (H x W x D) - 4-3/4 x 4-3/4 x
7/8 inches (83 x 83 x 22 mm)
• 3-1/2 inch (89 mm) back-lit LCD display
screen
• Adapter cables are furnished for various
indoor unit connections
• Maximum cable length using multiple exten-
sion cables (sold separately) is 164 feet (50
meters)
• Hardware for mounting furnished
• Power Supply: 12 VDC
• Audible tone when a button is pressed (can
be disabled)
• Lock function disables buttons to prevent
tampering
Product Features
• Active Clean - Washes away dust, mold,
and grease that may cause odors when it
adheres to the indoor coil by automatically
freezing and then rapidly thawing the coil.
After 20 to 45 minutes the unit will automati-
cally cancel the operation
NOTE: Only available in COOL or DRY
modes.
• Breeze Away - Unavailable feature on U.S.
models.
• ECO - Controls temperature/energy e󰀩-
ciency of the unit. Only available in Cooling
mode.
• Follow Me - Allows remote temperature
sensing of the room at the remote controller
location
• GEAR - Reduces electrical consumption to
75% or 50%
NOTE: Only available in COOL or DRY
modes.
• Breezeless - Unavailable feature on U.S.
models.
• Intelligent Eye Display (Single Zone)
Automatically detects human activity in the
room. If there is no activity for 30 minutes,
the sensor reduces compressor operating
frequency in cooling mode for increased
e󰀩ciency. The Intelligent Eye only functions
in the cooling mode and will cancel when

the unit switches to any other mode. This
feature is not available for multi-zone
systems.
• Purify - Unavailable feature on U.S.
models.
• Rotation - Unavailable feature on U.S.
models.
• Sleep - Enables the system to automati-
cally increase cooling or decrease heating
(in 2°F increments) per hour for the rst 2
hours, then maintain a steady temperature
for 5 hours
• Turbo - Enables the unit to reach the
preset temperature during colling or heating
operation in the shortest time.

Back Plate Removal
1. Insert a at-head screwdriver into the
slot located in the lower section of the
back plate.
2. Rotate the screwdriver to remove the
back plate.
IMPORTANT
The printed circuit board (PCB) is located
in the upper section of the remote
control. Avoid damaging the PCB with the
screwdriver.
3. Remove the back plate.

Installing Back Plate
When installing the back plate to a at drywall
surface, use the provided screws for securing
the back plate to the drywall (ST3.9*25). Wall
anchors are provided for use, if necessary.
IMPORTANT
Always install the back plate on a at
surface. Do not distort back plate by over-
tightening the mounting screws.

Air Handlers
Figure 6 shows one controller wired to an
indoor unit. The HA and HB terminals on the
controller connects to the HA and HB terminals
on the indoor unit.

Air Handlers (Two Controllers)
Figure 7 shows two controllers wired to one
unit. The wired controllers connect to the unit’s
HA and HB ports via the HA and HB port on the
controller. The Dual Control function enables
two controllers to issue commands to the
indoor unit.

Install the provided Lithium CR3032 battery
into battery slot.

1. FAN SPEED Button
2. MODE Button
Press the Mode button to scroll through
available operation modes (Auto / Cool / Dry
/ Heat / Fan).
3. FUNCTION Button
Scrolls through unit operations in this order:
• Turbo
• Sleep
• Follow Me
4. SWING Button
Used to stop or start louver auto swing feature
5. UP/DOWN Buttons
Increase or decrease the indoor temperature in
1ºF (0.5ºC degree increments). The maximum
86°F (30°C) and minimum depends on the
outdoor unit.

• For MWMC/MWHB/MWCB/M33C the
minimum is 60ºF (15.5ºC).
• For MMDB/A, MCFA/B and M22A the mini-
mum is 62°F (16.6°C).
NOTE: The temperature cannot be
adjusted in FAN mode.

Sets unit for daily or weekly on/o󰀨 operation

Copy schedules from one day to another
8. POWER Button
Turn system on and o󰀨
9. CONFIRM Button
Conrms each step when managing schedules
10. BACK Button
Returns to the previous step
11. DAY OFF/DELAY Button
• Disable specic days/schedules of the
week
• Delete a specic event
12. LOCK Function
Press the Function and Swing buttons
simultaneously to lock the Controller to prevent
tampering with settings.
