Important Information Before Use
This guide aims to hel you use this roduct correctly. Before installing and using this roduct for the first
time, lease be sure to carefully read all the materials included with the roduct, es ecially the recautions
mentioned in the safety Information Section and Other terms in this guide. This will hel you better use this
roduct.
Computer Usage Precautions
• When the com uter is running, do not use a dust shield or dust cloth to cover the heat dissi ation vents
on the to of the roduct to revent hardware damage.
• Never o en the housing of non-re airable arts, such as the o tical drive and ower ada ter.
DANGER
Opening the optical drive or power adapter housing can cause electric shock, laser radiation, or
even explosion.
• Do not dro , bum , scratch, twist, hit, vibrate, or ush your com uter unit, monitor, or external devices.
• If the com uter you urchased has a wireless network card, this card may be incom atible with outdated
routers, causing connection failures. To solve this roblem, we recommend you contact your router
manufacturer and request a firmware u date.
• Lenovo is not res onsible for third- arty software and antivirus rograms that use your com uter’s
camera, micro hone, or other multimedia devices to obtain rivate information (including images or audio)
through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and other methods of communication.
Optical Mouse Usage Precautions
An o tical mouse functions by emitting a strong red light through its LED, which is reflected by the deskto
surface and enters the sensor. The sensor senses micro texture changes in the deskto surface to calculate
the direction and dis lacement of the mouse movement. Therefore, the reflective conditions of the deskto
have a significant influence on the erformance of the o tical mouse. The erformance of the o tical mouse
is degraded when used on the following ty es of surfaces causing jitter, jum s, difficult movement, or even
com lete lack of function:
• Surfaces that cannot reflect light diffusely: such as glass table to s, trans arent table mats, and mirrors.
• Overly shiny surfaces: such as metal surfaces and laminated magazine covers.
• Surfaces with strong directional textures: such as brushed metal surfaces, wood surfaces with straight
grain, and tatami mats.
• Surfaces that are uniform at the micron level: such as marble tableto s and artificial marble tableto s.
• Surfaces with ixel-level s ecifications and atterns: such as coordinate a er, screen- rinted atterns,
and boards with artificial wood grain.
• Surfaces that are too dark or close to red: such as black or red deskto s.
If your desk has one of the above surfaces, we recommend you take one of the following measures to
im rove your o tical mouse erformance:
• Place a iece of ordinary white a er that is not too smooth (and is not too shiny, like coated a er) on
your deskto to use as a mouse ad.

• Use a mouse ad designed for an o tical mouse.
Storage Media and Driver Usage Precautions
1. If your com uter comes with an o tical drive, do not touch the surface of the disc or the lens on the tray.
2. Wait until you hear the CD or DVD click into the center ivot of the o tical drive before closing the tray.
3. When installing a hard drive, a ly ressure on the device only where needed.
System Usage Precautions
• Lenovo recommends you use the Windows 10 o erating system rovided by Microsoft. Because
Microsoft no longer rovides su ort for Windows XP and earlier o erating systems, some software and
hardware may be incom atible with these o erating systems. If you install a Windows 10 o erating
system on your own, the self-installed o erating system may have high hardware configuration
requirements that your com uter cannot su ort. This may cause the system to be unable to run ro erly
or com atibility issues with some hardware and software that can make the system unusable. We
recommend you consult the Microsoft website for the latest information to determine whether your
com uter can su ort the configuration requirements of your chosen o erating system. In order to
enhance the security and stability of your com uter system, lease rom tly download the latest
o erating system atches from the Microsoft website and u grade and u date your system.
• Lenovo recommends you use the reinstalled o erating system, but does not revent you from installing
another o erating system on this roduct. However, because other o erating systems have not assed
rigorous testing on this roduct, Lenovo cannot guarantee that an o erating system other than the
reinstalled system or the su orted o erating systems listed in this guide will be stable, reliable, and
secure when used on this com uter. Other o erating systems may not be able to obtain the normal
erformance, stability, reliability, and security of this roduct. Furthermore, Lenovo does not guarantee
that it rovides the drivers for other o erating systems.
• The o erating system (such as Windows 10) and a lication software (such as word rocessing and
database software) come with their own instructions manuals. If you encounter any roblems when using
these rograms, lease refer to the relevant instructions manual.
• The functions of the reinstalled o erating system and any reinstalled a lication software are distinct
from the functions of this roduct itself, and such functions shall not be construed as functions of this
roduct.
• Lenovo does not rovide any commitments or services related to the usability or reliability of hardware
and software rovided by a third arty.
• The onboard integrated gra hics card shares some resources with the hysical memory. Therefore, the
memory value dis layed in the system may be less than the hysical value of the memory hardware.
• Generally, users can change the DVD region code five times. Go to "Device Manager" → "DVD/CD-ROM
Drivers" and click the relevant driver on the "DVD Region" age to view the number of times you can
change the setting. If you have reached the limit, you can only lay DVDs com atible with the currently set
region. In addition, some DVDs may not have regional retractions, which is indicated by a region of 0.

Chapter 1. Install the Computer
Notes:
• Before installing the com uter, check the acking list to make sure all the arts are rovided.
• Before installing and using the com uter, carefully read this user guide.
Connect to Power
Connect the com uter to a ower as shown in the figure below:
1. Connect the ower cord to the corres onding connector on the back of the com uter case.
2. Plug the other end of the ower cable into an electrical outlet.
Notes:
• If your com uter has a wireless keyboard and mouse, connect them following the relevant instructions.
• You must use the ower ada ter rovided by Lenovo. The use of another ower ada ter may cause
combustion or ex losion.

Start Up the Computer
Press and hold the ower button on the case to start u the com uter.

Shut Down the Computer
To revent damage to hardware/software systems or loss of data, do not arbitrarily use the ower button to
shut down the com uter. Instead, shut down the com uter as follows.
For the Windows 10 operating system:
1. Click the icon to o en the Start Menu.
2. Click “Power”→“Shut down”, as shown in the figure below.

3. Wait for the com uter to shut down and then turn off the monitor and other eri heral devices.
Note: After you turn off the system, lease wait at least 20 seconds before turning the com uter back on to
avoid hardware faults.
Connect to Wi-Fi Networks
Note: If the com uter you urchased is not a Wi-Fi device, lease ski this section.
A Wi-Fi connection rovides mobile Internet access within the coverage area of the Wi-Fi signal. This method
allows you to connect to the Internet wirelessly.
Wi-Fi LAN networks cover a small area, such as a house, office, or a cam us with several buildings. You
must connect to an access oint (such as a wireless router) to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
Connect to Bluetooth Devices
Note: If the com uter you urchased does not have a Bluetooth function, lease ski this section.
If your com uter is equi ed with a Bluetooth ada ter card, you can connect it to other Bluetooth devices,
such as la to s, PDAs, and mobile hones, to transmit data wirelessly.
In an o en s ace, Bluetooth devices can transmit data within a range of 10 meters.
Notes:
• The actual maximum connection distance will vary due to interference and obstacles between devices. To
obtain the o timal transmission s eed, bring the other device as close to the com uter as ossible.
• Before transmitting data, you must air the Bluetooth device with your com uter.
Connect ExpressCard Device
Note: If the com uter you urchased does not have an Ex ressCard device, lease ski this section.

If your com uter has an Ex ressCard slot, you can connect an Ex ressCard device.
Insert the ExpressCard device
1. Push the dust rotection card until it clicks into lace. Gently remove the dust rotection card from the
memory card slot.
2. Insert the Ex ressCard device into the slot until it clicks into lace.
Remove the ExpressCard device
1. Push the Ex ressCard device until you hear a click.
2. Gently remove the Ex ressCard device from the Ex ressCard slot.
Notes:
• Before removing the Ex ressCard, disable it in Safely Remove Hardware and the Eject Media Tool o -
u .
•When not using the Ex ressCard slot, insert the dust rotection card to revent the ingress of dust and
other small objects. Retain the dust rotection card for later use.
Smart Temperature Control
Note: Some com uter su ort this function. Refer to your com uter to see if it has this function.
The smart tem erature control o tion is used to control the noise of the com uter and its heat dissi ation
erformance by selecting different tem erature control settings.
• When you select "Best Performance" (default setting), the com uter o timizes system erformance with
normal acoustic level.
• When you select "Best Ex erience", the com uter o timizes the user ex erience with balanced noise and
better erformance.
• When you select "Full S eed", the system will run all fans at full s eed.
The rocedure is as follows:
1. Restart the com uter. When the logo screen is dis layed, ress F1 or Fn+F1.
2. Select "Power"→"Intelligent Cooling" and then ress Enter.
3. Select "Performance Mode" and ress Enter.
4. Set the erformance mode as desired.
5. Press F10 or Fn+F10 to save your changes and exit.
Smart Driver Installation
In order to let you quickly, conveniently, and correctly install drivers for the com onents in your com uter, we
designed an exclusive smart driver installation system. By using the smart installation system, you do not
need to s end a lot of time looking for diver aths in the driver disc. Instead, the smart installation system
hel s you automatically detect the PCI and PCI-E settings that can be installed. This rogram su orts the
Windows 10 o erating system. You just need to insert the rovided driver disc and it will automatically install
the necessary drivers.
Note: During driver installation, follow the system rom ts to com lete the rocess.
The smart driver installation rogram rovides full installation and selective installation o tions:

• Full installation: When this o tion is enabled, the smart driver installation rogram will automatically detect
the com uter hardware information and dis lay a hardware information dialog box. After you confirm the
dis layed information, the rogram will automatically install the drivers in the set sequence. To ensure the
stability of your com uter during the installation rocess, the smart installation system will restart the
com uter when its o erating status ermits.
• Selective installation: In the hardware information dialog box rovided by the smart installation system,
you can manually install drivers one by one or install only the selected drivers.
Notes:
• The smart driver installation rogram only su orts the built-in PCI and PCI-E bus lug-and- lay devices
rovided by Lenovo. It does not su ort devices connected to serial orts, arallel orts, or USB orts.
• If you cannot use this rogram to install drivers for additional ex ansion cards and external devices,
lease install them manually.
• If you discover that some drivers have not been installed after running the automatic install rogram,
lease install them manually.
• You must manually install function keyboard drivers. For more information, see the "Function Keyboard
Instructions for Use" section.
• The hardware information in the installation list shown in this guide is for reference only. The actual
information dis layed on your com uter is the correct information.

Chapter 3. Set Up Your Computer
Set Up Sleep Mode
Note: The interface images in this cha ter are for reference only.
For the Windows 10 operating system:
1. Right-click the start icon to bring u a menu.
2. In this menu, select "Power O tions".
3. This o ens the "Power & slee " interface. Set the slee time to 30 minutes, as shown in the figure below.

4. After configuring this setting, click the start icon and then "Power" → "Slee " to ut the
com uter into ower-saving mode.
Note: In ower-saving mode, the com uter slee time cannot be set to more than 30 minutes.
Set Up BIOS Boot Order
To set the BIOS boot order for UEFI BIOS, follow the instructions below:
1. Turn on the com uter and re eatedly ress F1 on the keyboard to go to the "Startu " interface.
2. Select "Boot Priority Order" and ress Enter.
3. In the boot riority order, follow the on-screen rom ts and use the "+" or "-" buttons to select the boot
device order.
4. Press F10 and the screen will dis lay a rom t. Select "Yes" and ress Enter to save your changes and
exit.
Note: If you need to use ex ansion devices, turn off the com uter and then connect the devices.
