Beforeyouegin
Beforeyouinstallthegraphicscard,takethefollowingprecautionstopreventstaticelectricityfrom
damagingelectronicparts:
•Beforetouchinganyelectronicparts,drainthestaticelectricityfromyourbodyYoucandothisby
touchingthemetalframeofyourcomputer
•Donotremovethegraphicscardfromtheantistaticshippingcontaineruntilyouarereadytoinstallit
Whenyouremovethegraphicscardfromyourcomputer,placeitinitsoriginalcontainer
•Whenhandlingthegraphicscard,holditbyitsedges,andavoidtouchingitscircuitry

bDisconnecttheacpoweradapter,allcables,andallattacheddevicesfromthecomputerWaitfor
threetofiveminutes,tilltheinsideofthecomputercools
cRemovethecomputercoverForinstructionsonhowtoremovethecomputercover,refertothe
userguidethatcomeswithyourcomputer
2LocatethePCIExpressx16expansionslot
3RemovetheexpansionslotcoverSavethescrewifthereisoneusingwiththemountingbracket
ofthegraphicscard
Attention:Insertingagraphicscardintoanincorrecttypeofexpansionslotmightdamageyourcard,
yourcomputer,orbothToidentifythelocationofeachtypeofexpansionslotinyourcomputer,referto
theuserguidethatcomeswithyourcomputer
4PositionthegraphicscardovertheexpansionslotFirmlyandevenlypushthegraphicscardinuntil
itisfullyseatedintheslot
