Yourpersonalridingstyleishighlydetermi-
nantforeconomicalfuelconsumptionand
exhaustgasandnoisegeneration.
Whileidling,theenginetakesalongtimeto
warmuptooperationaltemperature.Inthe
warm-upphase,however,thewearleveland
pollutantemissionsareveryhigh.Itisther-
eforebesttostartridingimmediatelyafter
start-up.
Openthethrottlenotfurtherthanneeded,in
ordertoreducefuelconsumptionaswellas
pollutionandwearlevels.
Donotuseexcessiverevs;changeupass-
oonaspossibleanddonotchangedownu-
ntilitisnecessarytodoso.
Unnecessaryaccelerationandhardbraking
causehighfuelconsumptionandincreased
pollutionlevels.
Avoidrapidacceleration
Rideasevenlyaspossibleandlookahe-
adasfaraspossible.
Turntheengineoffwhenwaitingintr

ce,poorroadcondition,hills,ridinginwinter.
