Settingupserviceonyournewphoneisquickandeasy.This
section walksyouthroughthe necessarysteps toset up and
turn onyourphone, set upyour voicemail, establish
passwords,and contact Sprint for assistancewith your
Sprintservice.

SettingUpYourPhone
1. Install the battery (if necessary).
nInsert the battery into the opening, making sure the
connectors align. Gently press down to secure the
battery.
2. Press to turn the phone on.
nIf your phone is activated, it will turn on, search for
Sprint service, and enter standby mode.
nIf your phone is not yet activated, or if it is locked, see
“ActivatingYour Phone”on the following page for
more information.
3. Make your first call.
nUse your keypad to enter a phone number.
nPress .
Note Yourphone’sbatteryshouldhaveenough chargetoturnon,
findasignal,setupyourvoicemail,andmakea call.You
shouldfullychargeyourbatteryassoonaspossible.See
“ChargingtheBattery”onpage22fordetails.
