POSITIONING YOUR DISPLAY
■

Adjust t e position of t e panel in various ways for maximum comfort.

LOCATION
Position your set so t at no brig t lig t or sunlig t falls directly onto t e screen. Care s ould be taken not to
expose t e set to any unnecessary vibration, moisture, dust or eat. Also, ensure t at t e set is placed in a posi-
tion to allow a free flow of air. Do not cover t e ventilation openings on t e back cover.
If you intend to mount t e set to a wall, attac Wall mounting interface (optional parts) to t e back of t e set.
W en you install t e set using t e wall mounting interface (optional parts), attac it carefully so it will not drop.
- Be sure to use screws and a wall mount t at meet VESA standards.
- Using screws longer t an t ose recommended mig t damage t e product.
- Using screws t at do not meet VESA standards mig t eit er damage t e product or result in it coming away from
t e wall. We will not be eld responsible for any damage resulting from failure to follow t ese instructions.

KENSINGTON SECURITY SYSTEM
- T e product is equipped wit a Kensington Security System connector on t e back panel. Connect t e
Kensington Security System cable as s own below.
- For detailed installation and use of t e Kensington Security System, refer to t e user’s guide provided wit
t e Kensington Security System.
For furt er information, contact ttttpp::////wwwwww..kkeennssiinnggttoonn..ccoomm, t e internet omepage of t e
Kensington company. Kensington sells security systems for expensive electronic equipment suc as notebook
PCs and LCD projectors.
NOTE
- T e Kensington Security System is an optional accessory.

a. If t e product feels cold to t e touc , t ere may be a small “flicker” w en it is turned on.
T is is normal, t ere is not ing wrong wit product.
b. Some minute dot defects may be visible on t e screen, appearing as tiny red, green, or blue spots. However,
t ey ave no adverse effect on t e monitor's performance.
c. Avoid touc ing t e LCD screen or olding your finger(s) against it for long periods of time.
Doing so may produce some temporary distortion effects on t e screen.

When connecting with HDMI
Connect the HDMI output of the digita set-top box to the
HHDDMMII IINNjack on the set.
Press the INPUT button to se ect HDMI1 or HDMI2.

Connect the digita set-top box to HHDDMMII IINN jack on
the set.
Connect the audio output of the digita set-top box to
the AAUUDDIIOO IINN ((RRGGBB//DDVVII)) jack on the set.
Turn on the digita set-top box. (Refer to the owner’s
manua for the digita set-top box.)
Press the INPUT button to se ect HDMI1 or HDMI2.

VCR SETUP
■To avoid picture noise (interference), leave an adequate distance between t e VCR and set.
■Typically a still picture is s own on t e VCR. If a user uses 4:3 picture format for a long time, an afterimage
may remain on t e sides of t e screen.

Connect the RF out socket of the VCR to the aeria socket of the set.
Connect the aeria cab e to the RF aeria in socket of the VCR.
Store the VCR channe on a desired programme number using the ‘Manua
programme tuning’ section.
Se ect the programme number where the VCR channe is stored.
Press the PPLLAAYY button on the VCR.

Press the PLAY button on the VCR.

Connect the S-Video socket of the VCR to the S-
VIDEO socket of the set.
Connect the audio cab e from the S-VIDEO VCR to the

When connecting with Euro Sc rt
Connect the Euro scart socket of the VCR to the Euro
scart socket of the set.
Press the PPLLAAYYbutton on the VCR.
If your VCR outputs an AV switching signa via the Scart
ead, the set wi auto switch to AAVV 11mode on start of
p ayback, but if you want to keep on watching in TV mode,
press the DD// EEor NUMBER buttons.
Otherwise press the IINNPPUUTTbutton on the remote contro
handset to se ect AAVV 11. The VCR p ayback picture appears
on the screen.
You can a so record programmes received by the set on
video tape.

When connecting with D-sub 15 pin c ble

Connect the signa cab e from the monitor output socket of
the PERSONAL COMPUTER to the PC input socket of the set.
Connect the audio cab e from the PC to the AAUUDDIIOO IINN
((RRGGBB//DDVVII))sockets of the set.
Press the INPUT button to se ect RRGGBB.
Switch on the PC, and the PC screen appears on the set.
The set can be operated as a PC monitor.
