severe ACL injuries a few months apart.
We purchased multiple pieces of exercise
equipment for our in-home rehab but were
left disappointed and frustrated by fitness

The Pearl offers a completely customizable hand massage. Three massage

needs. The Pearl plugs directly into a wall outlet, so there’s no need to worry
about keeping a battery charged. The Pearl’s small size makes it portable enough

FIRST STEPS
1. Remove your Pearl from the shipping box and remove all packaging from
the unit and accessories.
2. Inspect the device and accessories for shipping damage.
3. Read carefully through this user manual and all safety instructions
before using the Pearl.
4. Go to pearl.lifeprofitness.com and register your product within
14 days of purchase to activate your lifetime warranty.
5. Complete the steps in the EASY-START SETUP GUIDE on page 7 to
begin using your Pearl.

CONNECTING THE PEARL TO
POWER
• Place the Pearl Hand Massager on a
flat, level surface.
• Plug the power adapter into the
power cord jack on the side of the
device.
• Plug the power adapter into a wall
outlet.
• The Power Button LED will light up
when the device is plugged in.
PREPARING TO USE THE PEARL
• Wash and dry your hands
thoroughly.
• Place a hand, palm down, into the
cloth-lined massage chamber.
• Press the Power button to turn on
the Pearl.
WARNING: Be sure to remove any
jewelry and accessories, including
bracelets and rings before using the
Pearl.

PARTS OF THE PEARL TIPS FOR USING YOUR PEARL
USING THE PEARL
• Always thoroughly wash and dry your hands before using the Pearl to keep the
cloth-lined massage chamber clean.
• Place the Pearl on a flat, level surface during use.
• Make sure to only insert your bare hand and wrist into the device. Ensure the
sleeve of your shirt is rolled up and out of the way.
• Do not wear jewelry or other accessories on your hands or wrists while using
the Pearl.
• Do not remove your hand from the Pearl during operation. Always turn off the
power first and wait for the air pressure to completely release. Otherwise, the
device may be damaged.
• Start with the lowest air pressure intensity and the lowest massage roller
intensity and slowly increase the intensity used over time.
• Stop use if you feel tired or dizzy, or if you experience chest pain or shortness
of breath.
• The massage time is 20 minutes. Do not use continuously for more than 30
minutes.
USING HEAT FUNCTION
• When the heat function is turned on, it will take about 5–7 minutes for the unit
to heat up.
• The heat function’s temperature is set to a gentle warmth of 107.6° F, enough
to help relax your muscles and enhance the massage benefits.
• If you want to increase the level of warmth, wear a pair of thin gloves.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
• Never use the Pearl under a blanket or pillow Excessive heat can potentially
cause fire, electrocution, or injury to people or property.
• Keep the Pearl and power adapter away from heat sources and fire.
• The Pearl is not waterproof. Keep away from all liquids and do not immerse in
water.
• Never use the Pearl or plug/unplug the power cord with wet hands.
• Always power off and unplug the unit after each use.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the operating instructions before using the Pearl.
Keep this manual for reference.
USING THE CONTROL PANEL

1. Heat Button: Press to turn on/off the heat function.
2. Mode Button: Press to toggle through the three modes: full-hand
mode, finger mode, palm mode.
3. Power Button: Press the Power button to turn on/off the Pearl.
4. Roller Intensity Button: Press to toggle through the three roller
intensity levels: low, medium, and high. The default roller intensity is
medium.
5. Air Pressure Intensity Button: Press to toggle through the three
air pressure intensity levels: low, medium, and high. The default air
pressure intensity is medium.
MODES
Full-Hand Mode (Blue LED): Massage will encompass the entire hand. For
best results, place your hand into the deepest part of the massager.
Finger Mode (Purple LED): Massage will be focused on the fingers. For
best results, place your hand into the deepest part of the massager.
Palm Mode (Red LED): Massage will be focused on the palm. For best
results, place your palm on the palm/wrist rest just inside the massager.
USING YOUR PEARL
1. Insert a clean and dry hand into the massage chamber.
2. Press the Power button on the control panel to turn the system on
and begin a massage with the default settings: full-hand mode, with
medium roller intensity, medium air pressure intensity, and heat on. The
control panel button LEDs will change color according to the chosen
massage settings. See the chart below for all massage options.

3. To change the mode, press the Mode button to toggle through the three
massage modes: full-hand mode (blue LED), finger mode (purple LED),
and palm mode (red LED).
4. To change the intensity of the air pressure, press the Air Pressure
Intensity button to toggle through the three intensity levels: low (blue
LED), medium (purple LED), and high (red LED).
5. To change the intensity of the massage rollers, press the Roller
Intensity button to toggle through the three intensity levels: low (blue
LED), medium (purple LED, and high (red LED).
6. To turn off the heat function, press the Heat button. Press a second
time to turn the heat function back on.
7. Press the Power button to stop the massage at any time.
8. The Pearl will automatically shut down after 20 minutes of use. Press
the Power button again if you wish to continue using the device.
9. Always power off and unplug the unit after each use.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Quickly troubleshoot simple issues you might experience with your Pearl
Hand Massager using the table below.
Please contact a customer support representative for additional assistance

7. The unit will automatically power off after 20 minutes of use. Do not use continuously

intended for in-home use only. Do not use in any commercial, rental, institutional, or
therapeutic setting.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
9. WARNING: Only use the included power adapter to power this device.
10. Always unplug the unit after use, and prior cleaning, storing, or transporting.
11. Do not place or use outdoors. Do not use during lightning and thunder storms.
12. Unplug the device immediately in the event of a power failure.
13. Keep ventilation ports free from dust and debris.
14. The unit is not waterproof. Keep away from liquids. Do not use in high-moisture
environments or in any place where the unit may become wet or damp. Do not immerse
in water. If the unit becomes wet or emits an odor, unplug it, and do not use.
15. Keep the unit away from flammable or explosive items, chemicals, open flame, and heat
sources such as central heating, portable heaters, stoves, fireplaces, and ovens.
16. Do not use or store in high temperatures or in direct sunlight. Do not operate under a
blanket or pillow. Excessive heat can potentially cause fire, electrocution, or injury to
person(s) or property.
17. Do not operate in the presence of aerosol (spray) products or corrosive gases, or where
concentrated oxygen is being administered.
18. Never drag or hang the Pearl by its power cord. Do not destroy, bend, stretch, twist, or
tie the power cord.
19. Never plug/unplug the power adapter with wet hands.
20. If the device begins to make unusual noises, turn off and unplug immediately.
SAFETY
21. Never leave the Pearl unattended while it is running.
22. Consult with a medical professional before using the device if you have a medical
condition such as cancer, diabetes, high fever, gout, epilepsy, malignant tumors, active
tuberculosis, severe cardiac dysfunction, blood clots, bleeding disorders, sensory
problems or advanced peripheral circulatory disturbance, blood clots, or osteoporosis;
if you have abnormalities or deformities of the hand; if you have a pacemaker or similar
implant; if you recently had surgery; if you are or may be pregnant. Do not use if injured.
Never use directly on infected, swollen, bruised, or inflamed skin, open wounds, or scars.
23. Stop using immediately if you feel discomfort, pain, dizziness, nausea, or shortness of
breath.
24. If the heat feels too hot on your skin, turn the heat function off immediately.
25. Do not operate the Pearl while driving or sleeping. Do not use when drunk or unwell. Do
not use within one hour of eating.
26. Only insert clean and dry hands and wrists into the massage chamber. Do not insert feet
or other body parts. Remove all jewelry and accessories from hands and wrists before use.
27. Do not apply medical or cosmetic lotions or creams to your hands or to the device before
or during use.
28. Do not remove your hand from the Pearl during operation; always turn off the power
first and wait for the air pressure to completely release. Otherwise, the device may be
damaged.
29. The Pearl is not intended for use by adults with diminished mental, sensory, or physical
capacity, unless they are closely supervision by a responsible adult.
30. Keep children and pets away from the Pearl at all times.
CLEANING, STORAGE & MAINTENANCE
31. Thoroughly wash and dry your hands before each use in order to keep the massage
chamber clean.
32. Turn off the device, unplug the power cable, and allow the Pearl to cool down before
cleaning or storing.
33. Wipe down the Pearl with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Do not use a damp cloth or
detergent to clean the device. Never allow water or other liquids to come into contact
with the unit. Do not use steel wool, abrasive, corrosive, solvent, or chemical cleaners.
34. Store the device in a cool, dry location.
35. Do not store the device with a heavy load placed on top of it.
36. Do not remove screws or attempt to disassemble or open the device.
