Ordering Instructions
Sora single wing can be mounted in two basic configurations; wall and Post &
Beamand Steelcase furniture panel mounted (stanchion). The single wing
luminaires come in only 4-foot nominal length and in one light T5.
The wall mounted versions are designed for drywall mounting and should be
specified as a Single body style. The stanchion mounted luminaires are available
for Pathways Technology Walls (PTW), Montage, Answer and Kick. Pathways and
Montage are available with integrated (Hard) and flexible (Cord) solutions.
Integrated solutions are hard wired to the panels electrical systemand permanently
affixed. Flexible solutions with a 10-foot black electrical cord and plug and are
mounted via semi-permanent tool-less brackets to the panels top cap.
The Steelcase Answer panel systemis only available in the integrated (Hard)
solution. The Kick panel systemis only available in the flexible (Cord) design.
Ordering is completed in two steps. First, the luminaire Body options are selected.
Second, the Armoptions are selected. Two catalog items are required to complete
the ordering of a single fixture.
Features
1. Housing: Aluminumextruded in 4-foot nominal lengths.
2. Lamp: T5 linear fluorescent, 28 or 54 watt. (by others).
3. Reflector: 24 gauge CRS painted high reflectance.
4. Lens: Translucent matte white acrylic, 0.20” (0.51cm) thick.
Electrical
Ballast is electronic, low harmonic distortion, high power and ballast factor, uni-
versal voltage with two conductors and a ground. Mark X dimming (no extra control
wire required) is available. EM battery pack not available. Integral On/Off switch
provided. Pulling wires (by others) fromthe fixture base to a junction box (via 3/8”
(0.95cm) conduit) in the panel completes the electrical power on integrated
versions. Fixtures have 20’ (6.10m) of wire coming out of the base (Black, white
and green only). Wall mounted versions have the electrical conductors extended
out the end of the support armto be connected at j-box (by others). Post & Beam
products have solid arms thus electrical connections are made via cord. Factory
installed ballast disconnect allows the ballast to be disconnected fromand
reconnected to incoming power under load without turning the entire circuit off.
Mounting
Fixture mounting distance is 50.125” (127.32cm) between stantion arms.
Continuous row mounting is not available. Stanchion height determines the
distance to the bottomof the fixture. 5.5” (13.97cm) stanchions will have an
overall height of 5.5” (13.97cm) + 13.73” (34.87cm) = 19.23” (48.84cm).
Finish
Powder coated Steelcase Platinumor White baked enamel.
